Craigan for me. Defended strongly, won every ball in the air and was a threat from set plays, coming close with an effort of his own and having a hand in the goal. He's been bang on form recently.

    Aberdeen

Tremendous game today. Started off under the cosh a fair bit, first 30 mins it was all Aberdeen and we were doing well to just hang in there, then a counter attack, O Brien goes past his man and for once stays on his feet when he could have went down, runs on, shoots and leaves an easy tap in for Sutton. At that point, it was a case of shut up shop for half time and we were let off when they went close right on half time. Flew out the traps in the second half and somehow scored the second, I'm not quite sure what happened, but from what I could tell no one in the stand knew we'd scored till the Linesman began to run back to half way and the players began to celebrate, will be very interesting to see that again. From then on we were cruising and the third was very sweet, top marks to Craigan for his attacking play from set pieces, he was a threat all day. Fizzy as mentioned, had a very solid game. He always puts in a great shift and he was no different today, added a bit of dig and composure on the ball which has been missing from Forbes in the last few weeks I think, doesn't quite posses the attacking ability that Forbes does but for games like today he is perfect. Cracking day out and always good to make the long journey home with a brilliant win.

Webcam shows the pitch is clear, so it'll be down to the police now.

All the Aberdeen fans on their forums seem to think it'll be on ok, I wouldn't worry yet.
  5. There is no question that he is far better at commanding his box than Buzz was though, and that breeds the confidence in his defense. If there's any ball comes into the box between the line and about 10 yards, Ruddy is all over it.
  6. Serious point worth discussing though, Strachan was sacked for less than what Mowbray has served up thus far.
  7. Aye, sounded like we were by far the better side, just couldn't get the break of the ball and going down to 10 for a full 45 meant we'd struggle to break them down in the second and still keep it tight at the back. All in all, I'll take the point from what sounded like a dull, dull game.
  8. Craigan AGAIN with a header going very close. But aye, this sounds like the worst game of football we've been involved in in a long time.
  9. We've had the majority of the play, but really not much happening at all. Pele been stretchered off for Falkirk but apart from that, nothing much to note.
  10. We're off, a minute or so early by my watch.
  11. Falkirk: Olejnik, Barr, Twaddle, McNamara, Finnigan, Arfield, Showumni, Lima, Healy, Pele, Compton. Subs: Andrews, Moutinho, O'Brien, Flynn, Stewart, Bullen, Murdoch. Motherwell: Ruddy, Hammell, Reynolds, Craigan, Coke, Sutton, Lasley, Murphy, O'Brien, Hateley, Forbes. Subs: Fraser, Humphrey, Jennings, Jutkiewicz, Fitzpatrick, McHugh, Saunders.
  12. On radio now, seems to think he'll be here beyond, sounds like an 18 month deal
  13. Maybe we have/are about to and he's trying to pre-empt us to give a better deal?
  14. I can't see Ruddy being on THAT much, a 3/4 choice keeper at Everton, probably on around 3k pw, looking at Juke, I'd probably think about double that. Who knows why Yass is/was on that money, but I think that may be why Charlton are humped.
  15. Up until recently, I'd have said Ruddy, but I think Juke would give us a much bigger return. He is a class act and I think will go a long way in the game, as will Ruddy, but Strikers bring in the money more than a decent goalie.
  16. Think there's a program called Zattoo that you can download and it has Alba.

It always is, crowd control I think is their excuse, not quite sure why though.
  18. Inverness was pretty bad on Monday and on the tv, Killie looked pretty bad. I'm sure we're not the worst.
  19. What was the away crowd today? Looked little over 300.

Not his biggest fan, but when he plays boy can he play well and do his job, a totally rejuvinated Keith Lasley gets the nod for me ahead of Murphy who played his second very good game in a week.

Good win in a match we rarely looked threatened in, really was 2-0 and easy. Pitch is a bit of a joke, but the weather and forced use of constant USH etc has seen this a countrywide problem and not for once, limited to Fir Park. Lasley and Murphy pick of the bunch today, very confident performance from all concerned.

Murphy looked dangerous when he came on but really struggle to find many positives from tonight.
