There was not one chant of fat/sad f****n bastard at the game that was audible enough for myself to hear it, standing in amongst the singers or from the Aberdeen fans on AFC Chat and P&B have who have verified this to be the case.
-
Dundee are fucked if they don't make it up this year, and I can't see it.
-
The Evening Express is a total rag, so they're probably wrong on this too. I can't see in anyway how the club could face sanctions as the chants clearly do not break any rule on sectarian, racial or homophobic songs as set down by the SFA.
-
I'd be VERY surprised if any of that was true. More specifically, Klimpl as he was on £5k pw at Midjytlland and there is no way Dundee are paying anywhere near that.
-
Hopefully they'll announce the United XI before the weekend, I'm sure if they publicised if any high profile players were to be there, we'd see a bigger attendance.
-
The rags- NOTW, Mail and Scot on Sunday are reporting it aye. As for the chants, I think anything which is not something specifically ruled upon by the governing body is fair game.
-
Best send them off to the country all together, wrap them in cotton wool and make sure they have their ear plugs and blindfolds.
-
They do have previous. If you wish to choose to believe the tabs over the fans who were at the game who have admitted that every other accusation is true, why would we deny this one? then so be it, its you that is being taken for a fool.
-
Ooooooooooooooooooh if its in the NOTW and written by Scott 'Aberdeen' Davie it MUST be true. Nevermind the fact that everyone at the game, including Aberdeen fans on others forums are saying the sectarian chants were a load of nonsense but aye, go on, you steam in and criticise our fans needlessly. Whose the moron? The ones who chant or the ones who believes everything in the bloody NOTW.
-
Think you'll find that that was proven to be a load of nonsense and not connected to MFC at all but aye, this is turning into total nonsense.
-
Were it Celtic fans, I think most people would be appreciating the irony.
-
I guess it's all down to peoples perception, but to me, abuse is abuse, as long as it doesn't break any laws as they are set down by the powers that be- discrimination be it racist, homophobic or sectarian, then it's all pretty much fair game in the footballing context.
-
Maybe you were, take it you've never called anyone a sheep shagger? A bastard? Joined in the Richard Gough chant etc as above? I know! You're Bono? Bob Geldof? Your self righteousness is certainly on a par.
-
They could well have beeen warned for all you know. Seriously dude, chill the fuck out, there has been MUCH worse sung at a football, why you taking this so personally??
-
No libel law in Scotland I'm afraid, defamation yes but they could never bring that charge. Certainly nothing the club could have done to them given the number of people singing, it would mean getting all of them in court over it.
-
Why would hte club have to do anything? No arrests were made and as far as I'm aware, there was no chant which broke any laws or SFA guidelines.
-
The only way their turnstyles are operated now. Completely pointless.

I heard murmurs yesterday about Slane needing an operation? As for Hutchinson, I have no idea, but he wasn't training this week according to guys who went to see it so maybe its something a bit dodgy? Who knows, hopefully we'll get a better idea after the international break.
-
Was wondering where he was yesterday hadn't heard anything about him being injured so for him not to be in the squad was a shock. Hopefully all things work out for him and his family.
-
That is very true, although things have taken a worrying turn up north with the introduction of Fraser Fyvie...

To get back on the topic of the game, I feel that for all the pressure we had in the first half, we never looked like scoring. Jutkiwecz (sp) looks not bad, bit lazy, but maybe he's just not up the pace of the game, after Sutton came on he looked a bit more lively. Can't really fault any player today, they all played well, my main observations have to be: Giles Coke- what a guy, absolutely exudes class in all he does, so calm in possession, an eye for a pass and the ability to run and tackle when needed, top notch performance again. Steve Jennings- been a huge critic of the guy, but he showed a few glimpses of promise today, maybe just needs to get up to speed with the Scottish game and we may have a player. Ross Forbes- Absolutely out on his feet for the last 20 mins. Seriously need to look at resting him more often perhaps as he really looked like he is already on his way to burning out, a virtual passenger in the last bit of the game when we needed all hands to the pumps to stop the Aberdeen en slaught. Penalty claims, have to say, O Briens looked a stone waller the first one, there was another just on the edge of the box that was 50/50. As for Miller, I have seen similar ones awarded but most folk at the game seemed convinced it was a dive, so maybe i'm wrong. All in all, a point at Pittodrie is a good result in anyones book and hopefully the wee rest we have this International week will allow the players to recharge a bit and get ready for the next lot of fixtures. As an aside, the Boyle's were on our train up, seems one of his family has a liking for the Buckie after trying it for the first time, allegedly?

Have we all taken Hyper Sensitivity tablets on here tonight or something?

Quite happy to lose a good near half of your typical away support? What is so much more wrong about calling someone, at a football match and clearly in jest, a Paedo, than implying that afull city of people, not just one man, enjoy relations with animals? Maybe it's me missing the point here, but the two are one in the same, and in this context can be chalked down to 'bad banter' at a football match. I've said pretty much all I have to say on the subject, yes the songs were out of order to an extent but worse has happened and worse will, no doubt happen again, it is time for us as a fanbase to move on and stop focussing on 'him'.
-
There will be no similar reaction at Fir Park next time we play. Simply put, a full day on the sauce will make fans sing songs which may be deemed unsavoury. They can't be taken back, and we should just move on I guess, at the end of the day, McGhee has moved on and I guess we as a fan base for the good, and bad are best to ignore him.

The Feenyin word, I never heard mentioned in the ground today at all. And see to be honest, I have NEVER heard a Motherwell support so loud at an away match for a LONG time as it was today, you can't tell me that was a minority singing those songs, we never heard a peep from the home fans all game and rightly or wrongly it was down to the noise coming from our end. Edit: Having read a few match reports already, the papers would not be mentioning one word about how well we played, as we were absolutely honking as most of the rest of the report other than the opening few pars state. The 'storm' will blow over come Monday's papers with transfer deadling day looming and McDonald apparently leaving Celtic for £5million of the Mail is to be believed.
