That's what happens when we take players on loan unfortunately, especially when we can't compete with them on wages. I'd hope we can at least give Maros a deal that is acceptable to him to sign on for a year so we can make a bit of money for giving him this chance, but could totally understand why he wouldn't sign on.

Going by ease of access and given we've only got 10 days to get it sorted, I reckon Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Albania, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Montenegro would prove the most troublesome to get to. Estonia, I'm pretty sure you can get to on Ryanair or Easy Jet, Wales and Northern Ireland are easy enough, Faroes MAY prove difficult as I don't know the regularity of the flights from Aberdeen and the ferries etc. Luxembourg is probably our easiest access on the continent with budget airlines to Belgium, Germany and France and the TGV from Paris being an option. Malta could open up a lot of 'Well fans booking the cheapest package holiday deal to Valetta! Hopefully, if we get there it'll be Luxembourg, I think that would be the best and easiest chance for us.

Losing Klimpl isn't the worst thing in the world, Lasley can step in there fine, we'll certainly reduce our bookings by one a game.
-
10 days notice is terrible for us, no way that we'll get there cheap unless the club run very favourably priced official transport as all your budget airlines will be extortionate.

Game of the season: United 0 - 4 Motherwell. I wasn't at the game, but listening to it on the radio, it sounded by far and away our best performance all year. Goal of the season: Watched on a grainy stream on Justin TV, John Sutton's goal against Rongers is by far and away my goal of the season. Player of the season: Clarkson. 14 goals is an excellent return from a player who has struggled so much in the past and hasn't started every game. Best moment: Nancy. If i had to pick a specific moment, which is incredibly hard to do, I'd probably say the Wednesday night when everyone moved down to the bar in the square next to the night club. An awesome sing song, good random chatting with French people. Just a great atmosphere that I hope will be replicated whereever we end up in the Europa league, should we make it. Worst Moment: Billy Mehmet sliding home the winner in the cup tie that basically ended our season. Suprise of the year: This Fair Play business. Means I might get a wee summer holiday! Worst player of the year: Hard to single anyone out, I think its harsh to say Malcolm as he has hardly played, simply due to what was expected of him, I'm going to say Mark Reynolds. A total bombscare at times and a shell of the player he was a season or two ago. Hopefully he'll be back on form next year. Young player of the year: Jim O Brien, been brilliant for us since the turn of the year and proved McGhee was right to take a gamble on him. Overall: Not as good as last year obviously, but a good season by our usual standards, the possible Euro jaunt improves it a bit, performances might have been way down from last year, but hey ho, this is Motherwell, we can't always be like Brazil. 7/10.

I think a wee trip to somewhere like Luxembourg or Andorra would be awesome, as has been said, a queasy jet over there, and a chance of actually beating a team.
-
Certainly after last season, it's went in quickly, although last season was so out of the ordinary with so much happening, compared to this one, that isn't entirely unexpected. Hopefully we'll sign off in style, but to be honest, with the prospect of European football, we should be looking to give the players the most rest possible and just play fringe/19s players.
-
Corrigan's injury was the end of him and as harsh as it may sound, we made the right move in moving him on. Kinniburgh was a total bombscare, remember that handball at Almondvale? He had more than a touch of Greg Denham about him.
-
He used to Ref the Trust games?
-
Hopefully wear home and away colours to reflect those of Alpha and Glencairn or something, would be a nice way to mark it. Reading up about the history, nice to see that 123 years on, things are still the same; in our first ever game we beat Hamilton Accies 3-2
-
It will still be a pre season for us, instead of playing friendlies in which no one is really trying, we'll be playing competitive games. No big loss, infact, it could see us fly out the blocks and get points on the board before fatigue sets in.
-
They're definitely not safe, only Killie and ourselves are now safe. Falkirk have 35, Hamilton have 38 (counting today's games as losses) and therefore, if Falkirk win next week and Hamilton lose, then Accies are down (if other results go against them).
-
As things stand, it's going to come down to Falkirk vs ICT and St Mirren vs Accies next week, Accies are 3 points ahead of Falkirk but a much worse goal difference.
-
Radio seems to have completely died so got on the Falkirk game now as there's bound to be some action in that. Awesome, send the Accies into the mire
-
Great, NOW they change it.
-
Incase anyone is confused, as I was, it appears that our game is on listed as the Killie game on the BBC text.
-
Good to hear Walter Smith coming out and calling it 100% honestly and that if, when he reviews it, he still feels the same then he'll be taking action.
-
I believe the wee car park next to the retail park, usually used by the council, is free on match days? Sure there's a sign there, either that, or try Peacock Cross, which is usually free.

I think those quotes may be taken out of context. I don't think we can't compete with St Johnstone, I think it's more they NEED the players to survive in the league and have a very astute chairman who has been saving for years and they have added immediately to their squad. Chances are we were ojnly offering back-up wages and St J were offering first team wages. We'll be fine.
-
And then Fraser was brought back into the side at the expense of Ryan Esson. Fraser is a serviceable SPL goalie and will do just fine, we are Motherwell and can't attract keepers like Boruc, McGregor etc
-
I'm sure I read in the paper yesterday that McGhee had spoken to McLean and explained that he would be given a run at centre-half and the chance to prove his worth. He's been solid the last 2 games and chipped in a headed goal from a corner, a total rarity for us, so for that alone, I say sign him on, we've been good enough to stand by him, three times.
-
Club kindly didn't pay the postage on my renewal, I trust this will come off the price of the season ticket? Every little helps for us poor students!
-
Shite game, shite atmosphere, second half was so boring I resorted to playing games on my phone. Really poor stuff, but that's what happens in the bottom six when its meaningless. Best part of the night is the sinking Buddies

There must be some mistake; a goal from David Fraser?
