  1. Indeed, but he uses his body to actually put himself about and try and win the ball. Far better than Hughes who prances around doing the square root of hee haw most of the game.
  2. Our midfield clearly lacks a sweeper upper without Fizzy, it's hard to fathom, but we are so lightweight in their without him. A midfield yesterday of O Brien, Smith, Klimpl and Hughes was far too weak. Klimpl would win a ball and a challenge would be needed to gain possession and Hughes would ponce in and turn sideways to try to cover his shitebagness as he failed to get stuck in. Fizzy would, and did when came on, just get in there and clear it, which is needed. As much as many fans seem to dislike the boy, he is vital to our midfield and we are a worse team without him in it IMO.
  3. I was sure it was mentioned at a game, can't remember what one, but almost certain they did something.

Just remembered something else from the match; when Mensing came off, don't know if anyone else clocked the way that the tannoy guy announced it, in the most sarcastic tone possible.

    Clarky - 50 Up!

    239 games I believe.

Can now see why their goal was disallowed as Mensing does swat his arm towards the ball, whether it made contact or not I'm not sure, but can see why the ref may have thought so. The penalty claim, Quinn looked to have been on his way down before contact was made, but its hard to tell from that angle

From Scotland on Sunday So- just so everyone is clear- BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO is racism.
  8. Madness for this game to be played at Fir Park, absolute madness.
  9. I wish you'd be optimistic for once why always negative?
  10. We may escape the fine, but the threat of the 20k will force the club into action, and the cost of a total overhaul will be a lot moer than 20k. Hopefully they'll do it right this time, lets see if this new "new" regime makes a change.
  11. And with that news, our away crowd drops by about 500.
  12. I'm sure they can't relegate you for a first offence, I'd like to see THAT in courts. They'll hammer us and make sure we get a pitch for next year, which I have every confidence we will. Stillie seems to be to blame for a lot of what's went wrong...
  13. That why he and his dad used to go on the Wishae bus?

    'Dear Supporter'

I think this may be a one off, can't imagine the club would welcome the PR they'd get from the green gruesomes and their meedja friends if they were to completely change their policy and charge them full whack after Rangers got the reduction, you know what they're like. This will probably be the clubs way of getting from A to C going via B.

I presume the club have scrapped it as it was pretty unsuccessful and probably lost the club alot of money and created even more tension between the club and fans.
  16. I'm assuming our tie will be the TV tie.
  17. Remember who we were playing on Monday. Stevie Craigan was virtually a wing back on Monday, doesn't mean he should do it on the Saturday.
  18. Superb. Saves a trip to Paisley, which is always good and gives us a much needed cash boost- 80k isn't it?

Been at all games at Fir Park this season, wasn't at the game at NDP, but McCarthy gets no more abuse than any other player. I believe he played very little in the matches at Fir Park, coming off the bench? The only player I've heard 'Well fans abuse about their nationality with any sort of level of volume is Aidan McGeady.

Booing/abusing/jeering the same thing, I have not heard one song from the 'Well fans that could be construed as bigotted to McCarthy. At none of the home games this year against the Accies have I heard any abusing of McCarthy because of his election to play for Ireland, it's a myth being drummed up by the media to be more than it is. Reporters like Keevins hear what they want to hear, remember us singing the famine song to him, but oh wait, no, that was about Klimpl, but don't let the facts get in the way of a good story.

I don't see how booing him is any different from booing any other player. If you wish to see it as bigotry then so be it, but for the vast majority, 99.999% of 'Well fans who do boo him on Saturday, it'll be the same as them booing any opposing player, especially the fact it is a 'derby' match. Some people just want to be offended.
  22. I'm not really seeing the point to this thread when there are already several surroung Fizzy. For what its worth, I think the treatment he recieves (although I didn't hear anything yesterday) is a joke as he does a vital job.
  23. We tend to slip up to First Division sides, especially at home. Inverness are ganting, and I don't believe they can keep up the 'Butcher bounce'.
  24. They'd win. The ideal draw, assuming there are no shocks would be, for me: Aberdeen vs Hamilton Falkirk vs Dunfermline Celtic vs Rangers Motherwell vs Inverness
