  1. How many miles away again are you? Over 100? ie: almost the same as us? Inverness also being at the coast, which is always considerably warmer.
  2. Nope and they try to leech off the clubs name as much as possible. I'm sure the club have many times had disagreements with them over their method of advertising, I'm sure they had banners up last year saying "Come watch the game and drink at Fir Park" omitting "club". It's a Rangers shop through and through.
  3. We as fans have the right to complain as we continue to be inconvenienced, and a postponed league match against a team who (in theory) are only 20 minutes down the road is far different from one that is over 3 hours away and trying to be squeezed in at very short notice in undesireable time frames.
  4. I don't think we should give them the balloon, but surely we have bog standard frost covers that can be used.
  5. That's another thing, bloody Jack Frost? Why haven't they got our covers, or invested in some of their own? We don't need ours for a few weeks and if we were desperately needing protection, there's the baloon. Any good feelings about this tie are quickly disappearing.
  6. Thats pish though because there'd need to be a fee paid to them and lets face it, how many of us are going to go to some pishy wee 3rd division ground on a freezing monday night? The only sensible place to move the tie to would be Fir Park. It's a total disgrace, our preparations for the weekend are now going to be all over the place, a total shambles, the SFA should hang their head in shame that they have allowed this farce to continue, they knew fine well after the Vale of Leithen tie that this pitch was unfit for the purposes in the winter and yet have offered no assistance.
  7. As suspected, its gonna need a good few days of good temps to get it on, Monday, if the BBC forecast is right, should be a goer.
  8. I also remember Celestine Babayaro's brother had a few games for the reserves, he was a goalie and was horrendous.
  9. We definitely did turn down Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and another player, can't remember who, Neil Lennon?
  10. I honestly believe we have one of the worst fan bases in the league, one of the most negative, quick to criticise supports around who get on our own players backs far too easily. I'm sure it has been mentioned before that players have refused to sign for us because of this. We have a great advantage that our main two stands are close to the pitch to give the opposition a hard time, but more often than not, all that eminates from these stands is "Fuck off Fitzpatrick" "Your shite Reynolds" and going further back, there's Fagan, Burns etc etc Edit: On our day, we CAN be great, when faced with a challenge, we often rise to it- I look to the Cup run, the Hearts cup tie, the Nancy game and the game I think that we were the best we ever had been, the Kilmarnock game after it was announced we were in Admin, but these times are few and far between and never last.
  11. The H & S point he makes is null and void as, I believe, and it certainly is the case in the East stand, the Police use a different system than the PA.
  12. I love reading about Falkirk fans going on about being in the top tier when it is clear to see on THEIR official site that their board took the decision themselves. Laughable, I'm so glad we kept them down in the first division with their shambolic brockville. At least our ground has 4 sides, is outwith a petro-chemical plant's blast zone and doesn't replicate a wind tunnell on most winter days.
  13. From the Loco's website: An inspection of the pitch was carried out at 2pm today. There has been some improvement and the covers are to to be put down this afternoon. There will be another inspection at 9am tomorrow when Motherwell FC will be advised of the situation, and if necessary a further and final decision on the pitch will be made at 12 noon.
  14. There is no point in looking at forecasts for that area as each one is giving different details, the BBC says it will reach a min of 0 tonight that says -2, another one says -3, we're just gonna have to sit tight and see.
  15. I think its more the players the early kick off is for as they'd need to be there for a while before the kick off, I presume they have a hotel they'd want to get checked into etc, have plenty of time to eat etc
  16. Inspection at 9am tomorrow.Fishel
  17. Aye, if it's not totally unplayable just now they'll give it the chance I think.
  18. The fact its taking so long to get decided can only be viewed as positive I reckon...
  19. If it gets the ok today there'll be an inspection at 9am I presume.
  20. Bearing in mind how hard the frost has been up there and the fact its deep in the pitch I'd say you'd need far higher than 6 degrees for more than 12 hours to get that game on, make no plans for days off tomorrow and look to Monday.
  21. So then the pitch will just be watterlogged and then the temperatures drop and it freezes over, expect this game to go ahead sometime in April. A complete joke now.
  22. According to BBC, the games off.
  23. Fishel site reports tomorrow at 8.30...
