    Harlaw Park

Moving it to Pittodrie makes little sense to me, they'd need to pay for the use of it, and lets face it, a midweek trip to Pittodrie would attract what, 150 well fans? max? Take a lot of local interest away from the tie and Loco's are going to be out of pocket, maybe a gate of 1,000. If it has to be switched, I think the only logical move would be to hold it at Fir Park, giving Loco's free hire of the ground and guaranteeing a gate of around 4,000.
  2. Disappointing, can see Dundee United having many people there....oh wait. Still, at least it'll make it easier for them to get the old firm in the final.

    Chris Porter

He's a liability and an accident waiting to happen, one of the most overrated players I have ever seen at Motherwell.

The money, just like that recouped from McDonald, Paterson, Foran, McFaddens sell on, would not get any new faces in, it would be used to balance the books.
  5. Good to see an account of the meeting posted, the openness of the meetings and publication of the minutes can only be a good thing. Interested to see more about this re-branding.

And unless it's about 600k, in cash, in small notes, then they'll be told to officially feck aff.

    Here's a comment back

  8. Ravenscraig is synonymous with Motherwell and its surrounding areas, they might be trying to market it as a new town (cause lets face it, Motherwell isn't an attractive prospect) but for all intents and purposes Ravenscraig IS Motherwell and if we were to move there it would be very fitting, given the towns history, hell we even get nicknames in connection with the old Steelworks. As someone else said, saying Ravenscraig isn't Motherwell is like saying North Motherwell isn't Motherwell, or Forgewood isn't Motherwell.

Not that the Oldham fans are still bitter...

    Inverurie Locos's

Can't drag on too much- next round is Feb 7th. Moving it to Pittodrie would be a big mistake for them, they'd be lucky to get a gate of 1000, if they moved it to Fir Park, they'd be pretty much guaranteed 5,000 I'd say. Hopefully it stays at Harlaw for the novelty value, but on a purely financial level, I think they would have to seriously consider the switch to Fir Park.

    Inverurie Locos's

You can if its postponed I believe, tickets can be returned, always has been the case before.

    Inverurie Locos's

21st 7.45 kick off. I reckon the club will have lots more tickets to sell, no way will we now take 500 people up, be lucky if its 100. Inverurie are going to lose so much money because of this and it wouldn't surprise me if they now wished to switch it to Fir Park.

    Harlaw Park

I have an exam that day that finshes at 4, so it'd be really tight for me making this game, so hopefully Saturday goes ahead or else it is shifted to the Wednesday due to the Sunday game

    Harlaw Park

Really isn't looking good for the game going ahead then.
  15. Having watched the highlights, that's another game, another stonewaller turned down.

    Harlaw Park

Any idea when they will know if the game is on?
  17. Interestingly enough, I noticed this http://www.norwichcity-mad.co.uk/news/load...W&id=425685 Could there be some sort of swap+cash deal in the offing?
  18. I just can't see us getting anywhere near Cowie with the interest of the B.W's being well known, as great as it would be to have him as part of our midfield, a huge upgrade on anyone in the middle, bar a top-of-his-game Stevie Hughes. As for Lappin, if we don't even try and go after him, then it's a real missed opportunity, far far far better left back than Hammell.
  19. Or you could pay other clubs gate reciepts on tickets sold by yourselves, which I believe was in the paper recently, without the threat of being taken to court

    4th Place

We have 2 from the league and one from the Cup, should the Cup be an all old-firm affair, for example, then top 5 get in.
  21. I think we got an initial allocation of 500 then got an extra 450 and sold them all did we not? Certainly looked well over 1,000 on the TV, especially given the size of the stand.
  22. One year on, but never forgotten.

    Maroš Klimpl

I think Klimpl showed great potential yesterday, hope he extends his deal through the rest of the season. He certainly seemed to enjoy celebrating the second goal.
  24. I think there is, or was a section on the official site. If you travel on their buses or join a branch- these are all advertised in the local press and online in the match previews, then you can join for a fee. The home fans are the bread and butter of course, thus the Season Ticket holders who made the commitment to the club get the first dibs on the sale, but as its an away cup tie, it is a way for the club to make amends for their lack of support to the SA in the past by offering them a % of tickets.
