Neil Lennon is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet away from football.

Griffiths is on 25 goals too and has been playing for an absolutely shite team all year. Without my claret and amber tinted specs on i'd say hes a deserving winner.

To be fair to Utd on that point, it does seem like they had notice of the bottom tier being closed online in advance, it just wasn't communicated well.
-
Should be some, possibly even a couple of videos, i'll have a look later and see what there is.

Worth pointing out again that all individual correspondence sent to Utd so far has been ignored. Did anyone from here send an email/letter and receive a response?

On Friday night we hired the hall for the use of a private function. The club did not actively discourage anyone from travelling or advertise the fact that the game would be shown in the stadium either, they were just good enough to give us the suite. There are pubs all round Motherwell that show the games live when we happen to be on and it doesn't stop the fans that want to travel from going to see the game, I dont see the difference here.

I'm glad i'm still getting away with being "Young" Bop .

Just in from the Cooper, a massive thank you to everyone who turned up tonight, i'd estimate there was about 150 and at such late notice that was an excellent turn out. Noticed a few posts on the match thread regarding poor treatment in the stadium tonight, i'd be interested if anyone could post their accounts of events here to further highlight the problems we currently face.

It is with deepest regret that we announce Dundee United have continued their heavy handed approach to the Motherwell support by persisting to be the only club in Scottish football to deny entry for our drum, all fans flags and banners despite approval from the authorities. It is not the first occasion Dundee United have applied draconian measures in recent times, as at a match last season they refused entry for close to one hundred fans which included a full busload and any fan that was attempting to enter at the same time. For what reason it is unknown although we pinpoint the reasons following lengthy discussions with the stewards on the day as being; the flags were too big, no drums are allowed and it looked like a group of fans that fancied a song or two… imagine that at the football? Since then, despite complaining afterwards about that day in the form of letters, emails and numerous tweets silence beckons from Tannadice. We are yet to receive explanation from that day, despite the extent of the complaints reaching a peak with an article in the Motherwell times condemning United’s treatment of our supporters. Subsequently Dundee United has given prior warning that no flags, instruments or banners will be permitted in the previous two fixtures, this being the third. As has been stated Dundee United are the only team in Scottish football who continue to adopt a club approach in contrast to police approval, with no explanation, towards such measures. It seems Dundee United is happy to show such disregard to away fans, so why should we give them our hard earned wages in return? If not only their same street rivals Dundee can allow entry for flags, the drum and banners, but also every other team in the country, how can Dundee United continue to fail to understand how the atmosphere is improved and that numbers follow as a result? Dundee United it seems is stuck in the footballing dark ages with their policies, in a nation looking to actively promote their game. It is at this point, where the Heavy Hands Empty Stands campaign would like to suggest you join us at Fir Parks Davie Cooper suite to watch the match live and give our money to a club that is entirely behind creating a better atmosphere at matches, being fan friendly and at the forefront of ideas; our own. Dundee United has shown that they are the very pinnacle of everything we are fighting against as a group, everything we stand against is emanating from Dundee United and it is time we put an end to it. We hate missing ‘Well games and it pains us to ask supporters to join us in doing so by advocating watching the match on television instead of attending, but sometimes the best way to answer these clubs is to hit them where it hurts, the pocket. If we can get just 100 fans to gather together in the Davie Cooper suite, the equivalent of two busloads that we could otherwise take up to Dundee, we will be costing them roughly £2,000 in missed gate receipts. In the tough financial times for Dundee United, as for any club, it cannot fail to show them that fan engagement, treatment and experience is indeed a pivotal part in attracting crowds. So please, whether you were considering attending the match or not, join us in the Cooper suite for a beer and the game, quite possibly a sing song and cheer the Steelmen online by showing Dundee United we will not stand for the continued mistreatment of our support. Heavy Hands will lead to Empty Stands Thanks to Jam_20 for the idea, we'd love it if every one came down and joined us. Heavy Hands = Empty Stands

Good idea, i'll float it with everyone else.

Here it is, 100% lies. While I wouldnt be daft enough to pretend no one on the bus had been drinking, it wasn't by any stretch of the imagination a rowdy away day and alcohol had absolutely nothing to do with the decision that day. We were told at the same it was completely to do with the flags and our "attitude".
-
I doubt that they'd pay enough attention to even be bothered running the story. Edit: It might even do more bad than good. The last time it made the press, United came out with a statement to the press which at the absolute best was a very careful construction of the truth. Actually it was complete lies.
-
What makes it even worse is that they dont even seem arsed. We've contacted them on numerous occasions via telephone call, letters and emails and they dont even bother to respond.
-
Spot on. They refused entry to 100+ last time round, either for being on the bus or simply trying to enter at the same time as those from the bus. We can talk all day about reconstruction but even with the best proposal in the world Scottish football will still be shite and unattractive to anyone who isnt already involved because of the way you are treated when you attend the game. Its time the clubs gave a shit about the matchday experience as a whole and until Utd reverse this decision we wont be back. The only way for them to take any notice is to hit them in the pocket.
-
Utd have point blank refused entry to the drum so our bus is a non runner, thats atleast 50 bodies who would've been there who now will not.
-
I should have said that I don't think what ive posted is correct, but it is the official line.
-
The distribution of wealth was only possible in this proposal because Sky have offered more money for the new model along with additional sponsorship from a gambling company (surely 888.com?) that just isn't there without the 8-8-8 format. I dont agree with the reconstruction ideas, just answering the question as to why we can't "cherry pick" the good parts of the proposal without the 8-8-8 split.

County & Celtic at home, United Inverness & St J away - Apparently.
-
Cant see us winning this one, going for the draw. 1-1.
-
Is Q3 the playoff round meaning that if Celtic win the cup and we finish second we'd likely only see 1 glamour European tie?
-
Is Gannon still out of a job? If the worst were to happen, there are worse people we could charge with the rebuilding of the squad. Still one of the most talented managers ive ever seen at FP.

Can't make this one, if anyone wants the slip from my season book and is anywhere around Byres road before Thursday they can have it.
