Had a massive chat with our Aalesunds friends in Oslo about all of this at the weekend there. In Norway they had a similar situation as we find ourselves in here roughly 10 years ago, people were deserting the game as it was over priced and over policed and they knew something had to be done in order to turn it around. The breaking point was a Valarenga V Aalesund game that had been moved to a Monday night with a crazy kick off time in order to satisfy the tv schedule. For the first 10 minutes of the game every supporter in the stadium sat down in complete silence and made absolutely no noise at all. No goals were scored in this time but if one had then no one would have celebrated, after 10 minutes they burst into their usual song and dance and got on with it. They were trying to make the point that unless authorities start to work with supporters then there wont be any left at all. The powers that be finally realised that the fans are what make the game what it is. The group now leave their flags and drums etc with the club who take them to away games on the team coach and have it all set up for them when they arrive at the stadium. There is a respect over there between the groups and the clubs that makes all of this work. Its something that we are trying to replicate here but its one step forward and ten steps back at the minute due to crazy incidents like up in Dundee. The club have been great with us but until the SFA and the police realise that we arent criminals and are there to enhance the overall experience of the day, people can make pies cheaper, bring out stupid "ironman" mascots and let kids lead out the team until they are blue in the face but while the supporters who make the game what it is are arrested for the crime of supporting your team, Scottish football will continue to be a pile of shite and will only decline further.

Bet you cheated at championship manager and thought ye were brilliant at it.

Gutted I wont be there next week now, away to the Norwegian cup final to cheer on Aalesund. I dont see why if we stick to our current tactics we cant give them a right good game. I'd become more worried if we resort to strange 4-1-4-1's and the likes as we'v seen previously against the OF.

Most of us rate Gannon as a manager, just think hes too much of a cock to last in the role for any period of time.

Absolute and utter tripe. There may well have been smoke bombs let off at Dundee Utd before but that was before there even was any sort of "official" group (and I use that term loosely because there still isnt technically a "group" as such, just organisers) was even formed and as far as I know the guys that let off the smoke bombs dont even go to the games any longer. Too many people with an attitude like yours in Scottish football.

Whats your point? What part of what I said is incorrect?

I dont even think he should have been on his weaker foot though, a better striker would have collected the ball, turned quickly and slotted it past the keeper on his strong side. Higdon took an absolute eternity after his first touch before he even moved and was forced to shoot on his left side because the defender got back goal side. He was lucky the goalie made a hash of it or he would have (and should have) got dogs abuse from his team mates for wasting such a good chance.

2 goals is good for anyone in a match but he was lucky with the first and the second was a penalty. Still like him though, good player.

Around 60 heading up tomorrow from our group so there should be a decent atmosphere.

Everyone up the end for Aberdeen on Saturday, hoping for the best atmosphere of the season.

Brilliant last night but still wish more people would come down and join in, it would be brilliant to have that section absolutely full and bouncing every week.

Its difficult though Al, there is no official "group" as such, theres a nucleus of about 20 mates who organise flags, songs, money raising etc and then there is quite a large peripheral bunch of people that come along to games and help join in with the songs. Its great that they want to join in and help out but we cant really be responsible for their behaviour, I can assure you that the "sieg heils" are coming from the main organisers.(cant comment on the flag, I didnt go yesterday) Its actually one of the main reasons there is no official group, this is meant to be something for the whole support to get involved in, thats the aim anyway.

Sevenways is a good pub to dive into, full of h**s but they are always decent enough with us and its only 5 minutes up the road.

We'v actually been in contact with every away team so far this season with every one of them being really good. Heres hoping for something similar from Celtic but I cant see it.
-
They were actually really good with us and congratulated us on the way out of the stadium for enjoying ourselves without causing "the usual bother" some away supports do. It would be great if the idiots making these decisions would come and witness this themselves.

Thats because they arent new signings.

Its no inside scoop or anything, just a conversation I clocked on facebook.

Murphy out tonight? Something to do with an impending transfer. . ?
-
Thats from actual contact with Clyde, not just the website unfortunately. Drum is allowed though.

Fire safety certificate for a flag

I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Wouldnt be an instant starter and would provide competition for Humphrey on the right while also in certain games we could move Law into a slightly more central role where I think he looks very effective.
-
The "anti sectarian unit" of the police truly are embarrassing. I'm not even exaggerating when I say that the one person they lifted today was a 9 year old boy. Literally arresting a wee boy for holding up a tiny flag that said "We'v got the Law and he hates h**s".

I was mascot last time we beat Rangers at home . That has to change, I mustve been one of the oldest mascots in Motherwell history, I was nearly taller than Scott Leitch.

Out for the season. Looks like we'l need to bring in another defender then.
