  1. I our game not on Sky? Sure I saw an avert the other day saying ot was on Sky Sports 4. Not sure if ESPN have a Saturday game or if they are showing Rangers on Sunday. I agree with you anyway, I'd imagine that the TV games and probably the Challenge Cup final will get priority.
  2. The major difference there between the 2 though, is that Everton spent £1 million signing Lukas from Swindon so were always going to be looking to recoup that. Blackburn got Blackman from Macclesfield for a nominal fee, as far as I'm aware, so they'll feel less pressured to cash in on him with his contract running down.
  3. Thanks for clearing that up.

    Van Der Gaag

14 years ago!?!? Fuck me, how is that even possible? I mind that like it was this morning. Was that Dunfermline game the last 'Well game to have kick off delayed 15 minutes to let the crowd in?

    Joe Wark

Terrible news. All the best Joe. Thoughts with you and your family.
  6. Oh, we know that, but they still have to go through the whole palava to make it look legit. Maybe that's why the draw is on Friday. It gives either of the Celtic or Rangers ball time to cool down in the fridge.
  7. This is the reason why they are here in the first place. Solved your wee rant yourself there.
  8. It's probably more likely because when they had the quarter final draw on the Thurday no-one from the clubs involved turned up at it, citing lack of time to get sorted after the games on the Tuesday and Wednesdday night. Regardless of any of that the sinsible ting would be to have the draw tonight on TV.
  9. Can't find the schedule for the semi final dates. Anyone got them?
  10. Portugal has a 16 team set up with 30 games.
  11. Getting Blackman ecured to the end of the season is vital. His Blackburn contract expires at the end of the season. What are the chances of getting him signed up when it does run out or on a pre-contract?
  12. Any return to the play offs is guarenteed to be our old system of 2nd bottom of SPL against 2nd in Division 1 rather than a copy of what the English leagues or SFL has in place at the moment. I always thought that was a good system, and we're never going to get them approving a straight 2 up, 2 down so it'll be the best we get. There are arguments for the play off system in England I think, though. With their leagues consisting of 24 teams they need to have them in place to give everyone something to play for and keep things interesting. Every season they tend to have 2/3, maybe 4 teams fighting for the automatic places, so if you take away the play off spots it's leaving about 12/14 teams with nothing to play for as they will be in no danger of relegation or catching the top 3. Introducing this same type of system into the SFL with teams of 10 is a complete farce. It could be giving teams who finished closer to the bottom team than the teams at the top. A straight 2 up, 2 down in the SFL would be far better.
  13. New Douglas Park right next to where the original stadium though, so location can't really be blamed for their poor attendances. Arguably the fact they spent years groundsharing with Clyde and where ever else had a bigger impact, possibly along with the fact it's not that long ago they were a shambles in Division 3 after the players going on strike. That may have had a bit of an affect on crowds too. Not, that I disagree that a poorly planned move to The 'Craig would be disastrous. The most important part of the would, perhaps, be getting the ground as close as possible to the new train station being put in the and having the Leccy Bar and JD's moved up as well.
  14. If they don't havea Champions League game in the weekend before our game then they must have one during the weekend after we play them, so they might still be inclined to make a few changes. EDIT: Aye, they are at home to Valencia on the Wednesday.
  15. Noticed an advert somewhere today for a deal Scotrail are doing with Sainsburys. When you do your shopping in Sainsburys you get a voucher to travel anywhere on Scotail for £18 return. Didn't look at the terms and conditions so not sure what the minimum spend is before you qualify for the offer, but might be worth checking out.
  16. Making a last minute decision about heading up. Is much of a walk from the train station to the city centre/decent pub then onto the stadium?
  17. It's not a problem confined just to that one school, seen the same senario played out plenty of times. It seems to be a national trait for some reason, even to the point that at a conference someone put the question across to Billy Stark, (just after his appointment at U-21 manager), whether Xavi and Iniesta would have made it through our system and his answer was 'No' due to their lack of height and physicality.
  18. Or, just maybe, the fat bastards could not go near the kiosk and avoid stuffing their face for 90 minutes.
  19. He could still move abroad, but I think if there was anything in the PSV story something would have happened by now.
  20. We were always going to be struggling after the effort on Thursday unless we made major changes, but that wasn't going to happen. How Lasley was still standing at 90 minutes today is beyond me. Knocked his pan in again today. Couldn't get lifted for today's game after Thursday so not that bothered to be honest.
  21. All from a simple ball right through the middle. Joke!
  22. Aye, and look where it got us. If Gordon Young (and guys like him) are looking to get into first team management maybe they should start in the lower leagues and work his way up. Nothing against the guy, I just don't want another rookie boss anywhere near us again. McLeish, Davies, Black and Malpas have taught us that they are best left alone.
  23. Just a wee bit of info on the dugout farcas I noticed get a mention on Twitter:
