  1. That's the one bit of your post I disagree with. I agree that he wasn't helped by their antics (and I think Hateley was at him to let him it it too.) BUT, see c***s that are too fucking interested in what the goalie is doing and staring him out when running up to hit their penalty rather than focus on the ball and putting their laces through it. That really gets on my tits, especially when it's with 5 mins to go in a do or die European game. Aside from that I thought Murphy had a cracking game along with Saunders, Lasley and...well, the rest really. Everyone gave their all, it just wasn't to be. Fucking dejected.
  2. Utter pish. She doesn't have to explain anything. Probably the only reason she hinted towards the deal that fell through was because, like me, she was probably sick of the sad acts like you wetting themselves over the fact that because they hadn't heard anything about any deal then there must not have been anything happening. She also must have been pretty certain it was all but a done deal, which I think quite a few on here understood to be the case as well, unfortunately there was a last minute hitch. Not exactly the first, or last, time that has happened, whether it be a sponsorship deal, a player signing or anything else. If she hadn't come on to mention about the deal then you would have been throttling her about the usual lack of communiction issue from the club, so she tries to give everyone as much info as she could at the time to save you from assuming the foetal position and rocking back and forth for weeks until something was finally signed, sealed and became public knowledge. It's not hard to figure out that the 'unique and insirational' deal (or whatever she called it) was alluding to the failed Sport Relief/Chooselife deal. But no doubt if that had gone through you would have been up in arms about the fact the club had taken money from a charity to have their name on our shirt rather than letting them use the money for something 'more appropriate'. Get a fucking grip.
  3. Reynolds is having a shocker so far. Better get his fucking act together pronto.
  4. Pretty sure JAXX was £400k for the 2 year deal, which was (and probably will be for a while) the biggest sponsorship deal the club has had.
  5. That's the route I was checking out yesterday. Trains leaving from Aarhus to Odense pretty regular, 2/3 an hour, journey takes 1 hour 45 mins or so. I assumed that was just a direct train, though I didn't check that. £33 a ticket
  6. Straight shoot out between Craigan and Reynolds. They were immense. Opted for Craggs, thought he just edged it.
  7. You must have some life, if coming on here and greeting about lack of info on a sponsor is all you've got to moan about.
  8. I'd rather not, thanks very much. Impressed by him so far though.
  9. The club did not want to be the first ever not to have a replica strip available to purchase before the start of the season. Simple as, really. The club would have been frustrated at the amount to sales they were losing out on, as the last few weeks would generally have been the busiest for shifting the strips due to people buying them for holidays and the European games etc. And like many have mentioned there is a deal in place, but the nature of the deal, and those involved, mean it's not been a straightforward set-up.
  10. I've been saying for a while now I think it's a certainty he'll go to Blackpool. They've had cheeky bids for Steve Saunders and Garry Kenneth knocked back in January, so are clearly in the market. Their main centre half just now, Ian Evatt, is solid and doesn't let much go past him, but he's lacking a bit of pace and Reynolds would be the ideal player next to him to help out a bit in that department.
  11. No need really for a new thread for this. Update from Twitter:
  12. I'm sure I alluded to it in one of my posts a while ago that with ChooseLife being something of a small, local charity were needing some help to raise the funds to be our sponsor. I may be wrong here, but I'd guess they went to our main sponsor looking for funding which brought the opportunity to their attention, and they decided to sponsor us themselves rather than give ChooseLife the money to help them out. Like I say though, I'm kind of putting 2+2 together there and it could be a mile off but I'd put a good wager on that being the case.
  13. Glad this has finally been announced and that the club are using the opportunity to help support such a cause. I do have a bit of sympathy with ChooseLife, putting 2+2 together with what I heard about the new main sponsor a few weeks ago, it seems they have 'done the dirty' on ChooseLife a bit.
  14. At least your £3 or whatever will be going to the club, rather than some shitey catering mob who don't give a fuck.
  15. That was what I heard a month or 2 ago.
  16. O'Brien couldn't really cross a ball either. He couldn't kick hard enough to get a half decent cross. (Last 2/3 games of last season excepted).
  17. Keith makes it 3. We're just ripping the piss now. Seems from the updates both Shuker and Gazapo have been heavily involved and quite impressive.
  18. It's not all that worrying. West Brom have spent the previous 2 seasons, one in the Premiership, without a main shirt sponsor. If a Premiership/Championship team can't get a shirt sponsorship deal for 2 years with the TV coverage they get then what chance do we have?
  19. Another Twitter update, this time from the Wishaw Press. Hardly a surprise though. Biggest surprise there is finding out Wednesday are still a Championship team.
  20. According to this mornings MFC Twitter feed the rumour is: Darren Randolph EDIT:
  21. Is he not retiring after the World Cup?
  22. Your right in that some of the names being banded about, Jack Ross, Kenny Deuchar etc, aren't too good, I think the deal with Famagusta for Charamboulous(SP?) is a bit more promising than you make out. Famagusta are a Champions League team who waived their fee for a sell on clause, rather than him being released, so they obviously feel he has the potential to be a good player and make them more money that way. The deal was also the start of a link-up with them, so that probably made negotiations a fair bit easier too.
