No way. Nowhere near the player Juke is. He was the difference in keeping Killie up last season, but his record this season isn't all that impressive IIRC, I can't be arsed looking. And he's a bawbag.
  2. I think they only ripped that up because it was for the final though. Celtic definitely played on the plastic pitch and I think one of the English teams have as well.
  3. Thats probably where leaving the covers on and USH running for 2 weeks solid comes in.
  4. Seems to have worked. The attendance was more than double their normal gate. And they expect gate reciepts to be up, with people paying anything ranging from 3p to £50! Mansfield
  5. Heard about a trial a Scottish 1st division team was running last year, I think it was either Raith Rovers or Ross County. Basically everyone pays a flat fee of £10 to get in, but at the end of the game they have a sort of honesy box which you can put more money into if you think the game was entertaining enough and worth more than your tenner. Could that idea be used to get something similar set up?
  6. The baw is the one with his back to the camera.
  7. ...And was there not a bit of a story/rumour a couple of years back that Arsenal were considering him as a bit of a stop-gap back-up? Or did I dream that?
  8. Straight fight between Jennings and Coke for me. Though Hammell had a pretty solid game as well. Not really any stand out performances today. Went for Jennings though. Thought O'Brien was shocking today, same as up at Inverness. Didn't really contribute much. Lukas' touch just wasn't there today, but I'd gladly put that down to the state of the pitch, and at least he still popped up with the goal.
  9. Along the same lines, 'pen' pisses me right off as well. I've even heard a few commentators say 'That was a definite pen.'
  10. Can I drop him back in it for his performance against St. Mirren in the last home game of the season, when we were 2 up and lost 3-2 with Meldrum flapping 2 of them in.
  11. I'd say its a bit harsh having Fraser in there as well. I'm not much of a fan of his either but Colin Meldrum or Stevie Woods should be well ahead of him in any of these teams.
  12. I think he'd have been off to Fulham had the Chris Smalling move to Man U gone through this month. As it's not happening until the summer, I expect they'll make their move then, while keeping an eye on him and being happy that he'd still be playing every week.

It was well in, I could tell from here.

Gutted I couldn't make it up today. Definitely didn't see that scoreline coming though. Thought it had a draw written all over it today. Good to the some of the guys on their way back from the game while I was still in work.
  15. Hopefully that would allow us a bit more time to do some business. Although the transfer window down south shuts at 5pm and we usually just follow suit.
  16. McLeish came straight in as player/manager after McLean, wasn't a Mclean signing. Doesn't change the fact he was a walking fucking disaster. As fir those prmoted from within, Davies done OK but he had Boyle's money behind him at the time, and Malpas was shocking. Promoting from within is OK if you're already a successful team (or with no danger of being relegated), with a bit of money to spend. At a club like ours with no money and such a young team, it's asking for trouble
  17. We really need to get Las and Hammell signed up on new deals asap.
  18. I think Brown said something in his interview on Saturday that the covers had been left on for weeks and that kills the grass. Considering Saturday was our first home game in almost a month that is fucking ridiculous. All points towards shite groundsmen, no matter how much effort was put in during the summer.
  19. Fulham were having him watched today as well, seemingly.
  20. Utter dross from us last night. Starting with 1 upfront against an average Division 1 team is a bit of a joke, we should be taking the game to them not trying to contain them and sneak a goal. Just about every player was terrible, other than Murphy who did well when he came on and Lukas, despite being injured for just about the full game. Sutton laughing at the chant for his brother was brilliant and the bus was a good laugh, although it was a looooooonnngggg journey home. Tired doesn't do justice to how fucked I'm feeling the now. Mon the beetroot.
  21. Cheers man. Won't get the chance to get to the ticket office until Monday and I'd doubt they'll still be selling tickets that late on.
  22. It was mentioned before the original fixture, does anyone know if there will still be a pay at the gate turnstile for Monday night. Is it still £15 paying on the night or is it cheaper to buy the ticket beforehand?
  23. Haven't heard but I'd hope not. Although if he was going to recall them I reckon he would have done it by now. It's not like the injuries Everton are suffering from have happened recently, they have been struggling with it all season. Did they not have something like 12 players ruled out for their cup game against Carlisle? I sure he would have taken them back for that rather than extending the loans until February before it.
  24. Under 23's? Thats our first team...including the 'veterens'. I think any re-vamp to the league cup should look at starting up a new version of the Texaco Cup as Frazzle said. Would make it far more interesting and should pull in higher attendances. I reckon your right that the season should start a bit earlier. Back inot July maybe like a few years back that would allow us to have some sort of break for 2,3 or 4 weeks, but then thats you venturing into the whole league set-up again rather than just the cup.
