  1. That's the 2 names that I thought of right away. Wasn't sure if there was someone I was missing. Softy, although I doubt Celtic who let us borrow Mio for a few games to work with him. According to the Wishaw Press Sport guy on Twitter Calderwood is the man. Not a clue though whether he has any info or thats just his opinion. I fucking hope he doesn't have inside info.
  2. From the piece in the Telegraph: Who could that involve?

I thought Leitchy's dream job had always been to manage Aberdeen, according to his quotes in the summer. Better not be him.

Radio Clyde mention the same 3 everytime our job is going. I'd rather shut down than have 1 of them or Calderwood and the likes.
  5. There you go. It was stoney who brought up the suggestion that Gannon may have been given a deadline. Which I'm guessing may have expired some time this morning. You then asked a stupid question and I gave a stupid answer. Like 'Flow, I shouldn't have bothered. And I've no problem with you being on here for a few hours, just stop talking pish.

This has nothing to do with results. I'm certain that's true. It's got to be the contract situation and other stuff behind the scenes we wont know about. He stood by Malpas FFS until no-one was renewing their season tickets, then he realised something had to change.
  7. None of us has any evidence to back up anything, that's my point ya tool. You've been on here spouting your armaggedon pish for hours now with no evidence to back anything up. We don't know there wasn't a deadline and we don't kno if there was a deadline. The only piece of evidence that there would have been a deadline would be the press conference about 2 1/2 hours ago. Someone merely suggested that Boyle may have been working to a deadline on the matter and you're looking for proof of it so you can continue berating Boyle and whoever else for the situation. EDIT: Infact ignore all that. Yes, I have evidence that a deadline had been set. That OK?

To be fair, it's QPR who are the richest club in the World. Man City are only the 2nd richest.

Boyle didn't employ Kampman. Kampman took over as manager towards the end of the season before Boyle bought the club during the summer. His first appointment was Davies.

I don't think he got a job at Monaco. Was last seen flashing his torso at wee boys.

Better not be Calderwood. That would just about finish it all off for me. Was fast losing interest at the tail end of McGhee's reign but that was reignited with the appointment of Gannon and the promise of having a good bunch of promising youngsters to watch. Granted the same players will be there but anyone like Calderwood, McCall, Chisholm blah blah would be a step back. Another McGhee/Gannon name from nowhere please JB. Or at least McAllister, but having beeen overlooked teice I doubt he'd touch it. Nijholt(as always), maybe Brendon Rodgers - did well at Watford before struggling at Reading and seems to have plenty of good contacts, especially at Chelsea, Walter Zenga has applied a few times before a few years back and got sacked by Parma(I think) a the start of the season.
  12. Get a grip! Some tool in the East Stand was going mental and shouting for Gannon to resign. Complete fucking idiot. We're operating with a team full of teenagers who probably hadn't hit double figures between them in terms of games played before this season. It seems to me that our early start to the season might be catching up on a few of the guys now. No way should Gannon be going anywhere though.

It's true what they say then. Those that can't do, teach.
  14. If contracts were still worth anything McGhee would still be our manager seeing out the last year of his deal.
  15. I think having a go at the girls in the ticket office about this is completely OTT. It's doubt it would have been their decision to have the Christmas lunch at that time. The choice was probably made to have it during office hours, the same as many offices, because then they could get everyone together rather than having it out of hours and noone going because it's bad enough having to see half the people you work with in work never mind in your own time. It's been acknowledged that a notice should have been posted on the official site, but was forgotten about and an apology has been made for that. I can understand Leeanne's reaction as well though. She's more than entitled to defend her staff, and the girls in that ticket office have had more than there fair share of shit to put up with over the last year and a bit. If Nijholt had had his little rant in the ticket office to the girls faces I'm sure he would have been told where to go and what they thought of it so no differnce from it being on here. And all this pish about the customer's always right and someone saying you have to show your customers respct is bullshit. In my experience of dealing with the public a fairly hefty percentage of them are idiots or arseholes, or both, so if your not going to give people respect you're not going to get it back. EDIT: Should point out I'm not trying to say Nijholt is an idiot or an arsehole.
  16. The Record has mentioned our apparent singing of The Famine Song to Aiden McGeady last week, while poor wee Aiden claims Hearts 'Hate what Celtic stand for'. Whatever the fuck that means. Bunch of fucking c***s. Get fucking stuck into the Jim.
  17. I think I'll be treating myself to the scarf that Reyold's and his mouser are modelling on the shop's homepage.
  18. We all knew the state of the team in pre-season when we bought our season tickets. How can this not be a learning experience for all the young players? Of course it is. They have to learn to get used to playing the way the new boss wants them, and get used to playing against the calibre of player they will be up against and in the environment rather than other young guys and reserve players who don't give a shit infront of 2 guys and a dug up at Shotts every other week. If you want to watch solid, pragmatic, knock the ball over the top for the stirkers to chase football, then go to Inverness to see Butcher's team do it again or head up the King George Park on a Saturday afternoon and watch teams both try it against each other. After a while Jim will get his ideas across and after getting enough games under their belt and enough games playing in this system I'm certain that it will all click into place for these young guys, and it will only get better from there. Even under Butcher's 'solid, pragmatic' approach with a young team we went through long spells without a win then long spells undefeated. It's bound to happen with a team filled with as many young guys as our, no matter what type of football you are trying to play.
  19. No he doesn't. He knows that, if nothing else, McGhee is waiting to take him to Aberdeen. Keep him dropped.

Yeah that's right, it wasn't long after Rangers approach. O'Neill had already left though, that would have been half way through Strachan's 1st season, IIRC. I think it was round about March they signed him. We had still to play Celtic before the split that season and Malpas wouldn't play him in the game because he had already signed with them. They did the same thing with Scott Brown after the split when they had still to play Hibs after the split, but Hibs let Brown play and he scored the winner.

McDonald had signed for Celtic before the end of the season though. I'm sure it was a good few games before the split that the deal was done.
