That'll save me typing another response up. Managers walking out on us is not Boyle's fault and there is pretty much fuck all we can do about it.
-
Aye but the point is they all got at least 2 seasons at it which is what you are asking for. Whether they moved onto bigger and better things doesn't really come into it, although 2 of them would say that they did.
-
No. Really, he actually does this time.
-
Boyle didn't sack Black though, he quit so can't really blame Boyle for that. We are never going to be able to keep good, ambitious managers for more than a year or 2 because if they are doing their job well we wont be able to hold onto them for long. That's not Boyle's fault either. All he can do in that circumstance is scam them for every penny they have, as he did to Aberdeen with McGhee.
-
Considering the money is coming out his own fucking pockets I don't see the problem there. Having seen Ruddy play the first half of the season I think Boyle has spotted along with the rest of us that he'd be guarenteed his money back plus profit in a year or 2.
-
The second biggest flaw in your agrument is that all of them were in charge for at least 2 seasons except Kampman-who Boyle didn't appoint and Malpas-no explanation needed. So if your asking for him to give the manager 2 years to get things done, he's been doing that all ready. If you asked Butcher at the time I'm sure he would have thought he was moving onto bigger and better things, plus his time was coming to a natural end anyway, and McGhee thought the same thing in the summer. Infact the team Butcher took over were Austrailian Champions and had got to final of their version of the Champions League had they not(not sure if they won that), so I'd say that probably is bigger and better things.

Whats going on now? I was out the house for an hour for God sake. Quite happy Brown is involved, but Archie Knox??? FFS jobs for the boys right enough.
-
I didn't say anyone was lined up for when Davies left. This second bit is the biggest flaw in your argument about having stability. Unless they turn out to be another Malpas it's not about us sticking by the manager, it's about the manager sticking with us. With teams at the arse end of the Championship and top few in League 1 throwing about daft money that's never going to happen.
-
Fuck, so he is. Never spotted that first time. Apologies. They don't fuck about, do they!
-
That's just the managers profile section, not the available managers list.
-
How would it? Davies was lined up when Kampman was sacked! Butcher was lined up for when Black left! And Malpas was lined up for when Butcher left! And Leitch was lined up for McGhee leaving but knocked it back.

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager
Jonesy replied to steelman1991's topic in Club Chat
That's the 2 names that I thought of right away. Wasn't sure if there was someone I was missing. Softy, although I doubt Celtic who let us borrow Mio for a few games to work with him. According to the Wishaw Press Sport guy on Twitter Calderwood is the man. Not a clue though whether he has any info or thats just his opinion. I fucking hope he doesn't have inside info. -

From the piece in the Telegraph: Who could that involve? -
I thought Leitchy's dream job had always been to manage Aberdeen, according to his quotes in the summer. Better not be him.
-
Radio Clyde mention the same 3 everytime our job is going. I'd rather shut down than have 1 of them or Calderwood and the likes.

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager

There you go. It was stoney who brought up the suggestion that Gannon may have been given a deadline. Which I'm guessing may have expired some time this morning. You then asked a stupid question and I gave a stupid answer. Like 'Flow, I shouldn't have bothered. And I've no problem with you being on here for a few hours, just stop talking pish. -
This has nothing to do with results. I'm certain that's true. It's got to be the contract situation and other stuff behind the scenes we wont know about. He stood by Malpas FFS until no-one was renewing their season tickets, then he realised something had to change.

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager

None of us has any evidence to back up anything, that's my point ya tool. You've been on here spouting your armaggedon pish for hours now with no evidence to back anything up. We don't know there wasn't a deadline and we don't kno if there was a deadline. The only piece of evidence that there would have been a deadline would be the press conference about 2 1/2 hours ago. Someone merely suggested that Boyle may have been working to a deadline on the matter and you're looking for proof of it so you can continue berating Boyle and whoever else for the situation. EDIT: Infact ignore all that. Yes, I have evidence that a deadline had been set. That OK? -

Yes. -
To be fair, it's QPR who are the richest club in the World. Man City are only the 2nd richest.
-
Boyle didn't employ Kampman. Kampman took over as manager towards the end of the season before Boyle bought the club during the summer. His first appointment was Davies.
-
I don't think he got a job at Monaco. Was last seen flashing his torso at wee boys.
-
Better not be Calderwood. That would just about finish it all off for me. Was fast losing interest at the tail end of McGhee's reign but that was reignited with the appointment of Gannon and the promise of having a good bunch of promising youngsters to watch. Granted the same players will be there but anyone like Calderwood, McCall, Chisholm blah blah would be a step back. Another McGhee/Gannon name from nowhere please JB. Or at least McAllister, but having beeen overlooked teice I doubt he'd touch it. Nijholt(as always), maybe Brendon Rodgers - did well at Watford before struggling at Reading and seems to have plenty of good contacts, especially at Chelsea, Walter Zenga has applied a few times before a few years back and got sacked by Parma(I think) a the start of the season.
