  1. What difference would it make if McGhee came out and said he was intending to stay on at Motherwell next season. Even if he did it still wouldn't stop all the paper talk, and if some other club want to speak to him they would still come to us and ask. Look at the Owen Coyle story. Despite having apparently told Celtic he's not interested and was going to talk to Burnley about a new contract, we are still getting stories that Celtic are waiting for him to get back from his holidays to try and talk to him again.

I think the strip looks brilliant. Went up to try see it 'in real life' today butthe shop had closed. The 'Men Of Steel' ad's for the launch are impressive and the whole teaser campaign was a good build up. I just wonder if the people involved with this at the club feel that the time and effort put into it might help us renew our sponsorship deal with JAXX in the summer and even Canterbury, when the time comes, as I would imagine the campaign hasn't gone unnoticed by either of them.

Lovely. Honestly though, it was mentioned earlier in the thread that it would be unveiled and available for order sometime in July. No mention of colour or design. Perhaps that may change though if it has to be used in Europe early on.

    Brown, apparently.
  5. I would think though that McAllister's spell at Leeds since that time though has left him in a weaker position than before. Perhaps he might now think about coming here to start himself off again.
  6. I'm pretty sure if this scenario unfolds then we would still be entitled to a pay out from Aberdeen, as it would be clear that McGhee only quit us to take up their post.

Fuck playing at Airdrie's dump. Let's have our home leg at our opponent's ground as well.
  8. Now though, do I sacrifice the season ticket and hope we are away for the 2nd led so I can go, or do I chance it and try for both. Wish I didnae book Alton Towers now.
  9. Brilliant. Hopefully a second leg away trip to Ireland or Wales on the cards.
  10. The last few times the post has opened up was it not reported that Walter Zenga had applied, on more than 1 occasion. Think he ended up at Dinamo Bucharest, before quitting. Not sure of his record though. Gary McAllister and Luc are about the only other names I could think of. No...one more, Micky Adams

    Dougie Returns!

Brilliant man, cheers. I shall be there on Tuesday then.

    Dougie Returns!

Flow. Is the ticket office open tomorrow for me to go and get a season ticket? Also do you know how much it is per month to pay up a ST for the East Stand? Cheers
  13. Only player in their team I'd consider having is Mihajdks or whatever his name is. Would hate to see Imrie in our shirt. Foran Wouldn't really fit into our team now, we really need an actual let winger on that side now. Kerr has proven yet again he is a waste of a jersey and seems to be even less interested now than before. Don't really think anyone else in their team is worth mentioning.
  14. Read on the BBC that our on loan keeper Krysiak is bei released by Birmingham when his loan deal expires. Perhaps if Buzz goes a deal has been agreed to sign him permanently. Two other out of contract players mentioned were Aberdeen's Jamie Smith and Watford's Steve Kabba. Smith has been mentioned before and if we could keep him fit would be a good signing. Kabba seemed to do well at Sheffield United and moved to Watford for £1 million plus, I think. Probably like most Championship players we couldn't afford his wages, and I might be wrong here but I think he has had some injury problems too. Again if he could be kept fit he could fill one of the gaps in our forward line.
  15. Yeah, I think he's earned it. He was in great form at the end of last season at right back too. Hopefully the big man has used up all his bad luck with injuries and wont have to sit out again for weeks or months at a time after working his way back into the side.
  16. I noticed a few papers carrying the story about McLean being out of contract in the summer. In one McGhee said he has asked to be given a shot at centre half to prove his worth. In one of them McLean also said he hadn't talked about a new deal yet. Given that McGhee said that he has already talked to the players he wanted to keep on, does this suggest that McLean could be let go in the summer? Would be harsh on him I'd say.
  17. Don't know if it's much help, but when I was in this situation a few years ago all I needed was a letter from the Deputy Head Teacher at the school stating I was staying on. Take it in when your renewing and you should get the discount. Worked no problem for me.
  18. Agreed. Bit of a long winded way to get to that. I don't doubt he'll get his move, just a bit earl for him. And like you say, yo can't help but feel we've been done over with regards to transfer fee's yet again.
  19. Beattie has a proven record in the Premiership already with Southampton. As for Chopra, he had 1 good season i the Championship as well, but he was only wortthat amount because Roy Keane was throwing about silly money on players at the time. He may well go for £5 million plus in the future, but he doesn't have enough experience at that level so far. A fair whack of his goals have been penalties and most of the hype surrounding him has come form the press rather than out of Cardiff. Teams would hold off until at least January I'd think to see how he performs for the first half of the season.
  20. He'll never go for £5 million this summer.
  21. I think that was it. A supply of malt and the virgins. No wages required.
  22. I was talking about that the other day. What was the story again? Something like 3 virgins and a supply of vodka or something.
  23. Always thought during his time at Airdrie and St Johnstone that he would get his shot in the SPL. Even during his time at Airdrie I think he was thought of more highly tha Alan Gow. Might still fulfill his early potential, though he had an interview earlier in the season where he admitted that his own attitude towards the game wasn't right and was why he hadn't taken that step up.
