  1. I can see that side of the coin too....casagolda, charalambous, and so on.
  2. Aye I had feared that about Ojamaa too. I can see it now - just as we decide he looks the business, hearts, hibs, aberdeen etc etc do too!
  3. Cant agree with this at all. When Griffiths does it hes a wee bampot pr1ck, but its ok for Higdon to do it? I dont agree with the harsh criticism of him but he does have his poor games. In general though, we are a better team with him in it. On to the game, big higdon played well and deserved his goal despite missing one or two others. No doubt ojamaa changed things though and caused there defence problems every time he got on the ball. Would like to see him in for murphy and humphrey in for daley on tuesday. Any other ref and we get a penalty at the end.
  4. I would like to see Randolph, hateley, Clancy, hutch, hammell, Humphrey, las, Jenno, law, mchugh and daley in a 4-4-2. No chance of it happening though.
  5. For me, higdon can be a good player for us and no one can argue with his goal tally so far. BUT far to often he tries flick ons or a pass which simply aren't there, when it is, it's great when it comes off but there were times yesterday when it did and then he stood and ball watched instead of getting up in to the box. That's what I find frustrating. Crags did have a decent game yesterday but there were times against queens park when I couldn't believe what I was watching. He wasn't any better than page in that game.Murphy hasn't kicked a ball in the spl since August. Law too has been poor of late. It's surely time to give some others a chance. And totally agree with the post above saying McCall is guilty of always trying to field his best 11 and not the best team on the day.
  6. No chance, not if our recent showings are anything to go by
  7. Poor again today. as been said no plan b from mcall. Crags, higdon, murphy all need a boot up the arse and dropped. Have never been a Higdon fan but thats me had enough now - utter utter pish today. Yes he's top scorer etc etc but hes only good when it's put on a plate to him. He too often tries these flick ons which are great when they work but simply don't work 9/10. Daley could do his job only with more ability and mobility.
  8. While I agree with the majority on here that page was poor, am surprised no one has said...was he really any worse than craigan?
  9. 8.5/10. Can't fault much other than a few perfomance against the OF and the cup final was a disappointment. Something that has impressed me though is his signings. Law Higdon Jones Gunning Daley Hughes Clancy In my opinion, with the exception of hughes (since hes just signed - but we know what he's capable of), they've all made some sort of positive impact on the team . Not a penny wasted in that department. Hopefully he can begin to bring through some of the younger lads too, carswell, lawless, etc as its important for us to be doing this.
  10. Exactly, the ref was fucking horrendously inconsistent today. One set of rules for us and another for them.... He booked omar for kicking the ball away, mcgowan went on to do this twice and not even a word. He booked murphy for nothing. Must have been his first foul of the season never mind game. If the ref had been fair they would have finished with a lot worse than two bookings.
  11. Exactly. Thats something that has absolutely baffled me about this situation...that no one in the papers, on the news, journalists etc, has stopped for a minute and pointed out that it was the most ridiculous, pathetic excuse of a red card ever. Put the betting scandal aside...and think how can such an abysmal decision (and referee performance as a whole) get overlooked so easily?! because its not as good a news story??
  12. Lasley has been a great player for us over the years, a solid pro who is always committed to the cause. I actually think hes added to his game since the arrival of mccall. I noticed that as soon as mccall came in he seemed to have a bit more confidence in and around the box. Got his goal against gers in CIS semi then this season hes banged in a few.
  13. I'd like to see: Randolph Hateley Craggs Clancy Hammell Hump Lasley Forbes/Carswell Law Higdon Mchugh Think Page deserves a chance but hard to drop clancy on his last 2 performances. Think we'll get a point out of this game, could see either side edging it though.
  14. +1 That attitude pisses me off as well. Again other than that, a good email well put.
  15. No surprises there then. I wonder what it will take for mcall to change things up. I think we'll win tomorrow simply because aberdeen are pish. Can't see us not conceding though. 3-1
  16. Aye well not for long if we carry on losing 3 goals a game.
  17. Well they dont lose goals by passing it into the opposition strikers path. Obviously players will make mistakes, obviously, eg a midfielder giving the ball away leads to losing possession but the other team still has to do something with that possession (ie beat the midfield, defence and goalie, before you pick on that). Recently we have been giving goals away directly from shocking mistakes. Craigans poor control giving it straight to o'connor. Hammell passing it straight to Sandaza. Randolph fumbling it into a st.j players path. Jennings passing to griffiths(?) 18 yds out - let off there but a close one. To mention a few. Its these mistakes that are costly and need to be cut out. Everyone human etc etc, but the amount of these costly mistakes we are making is beyond a joke for a professional team. OK so i dont know if jennings is interested or not but he certainly doesnt look it.
  18. What pish is that? highlight the pish...
  19. Yes. There is no way mccall will drop either of them though. I'd even be surprised if he drops clancy for saturday. In fact im sure the line up will be exactly the same as sat/tue despite the fact Murphy is clearly knackered, jenno is clearly uninterested and our defence is clearly a joke. We have lost 14 in the last 5 games. Its all fine saying that most of these goals have been down to individual errors (as opposed to teams ripping us apart) but in the end of the day our players are making these errors and as long as they do we will continue to lose goals at the rate we have been and it needs to be addressed. Randolph Hateley --------- Page Hammell Humph Lasley Carswell/Forbes Law Higdon Mchugh Dont know whether to fill the gap with craggs or clancy. A pairing of page and clancy doesnt fill me with confidence but neither does craigan just now!
  20. Am I the only one who thought craggs was fucking dire last night? Griffiths should never ever have been given that much space to cross for the first goal. And when the ball approached craigan even he knew what was going to happen...one up in a cup tie, 87th minute - he should have done what he does best and stuck his boot through it but no, he tried to control it with his bollocks and made an arse of it. Dont get me wrong I like craigan, he has been a great player and ambassador for the club but the fact we are quite heavily relying on him gives me the fear.
  21. Interested to know what you are basing this on? Clyde game? I wasnt there, but I actually thought that under gannon mchugh looked like he could be a player for us - since I have seen him on about 10 occasions for 5 mins at a time since I cant really comment. When I have seen page he looks competent enough but lacking the confidence to get involved and get stuck in, but is it any wonder since he has been on the bench for about 3 years?
  22. Hollis Hateley Craigan Page Hammell Lawless Forbes Lasley Law Mchugh Daley/Higdon Reason I'd go for this is because IMO randolph, humph, jenno and murphy NEED time out the side for their own good. One of crags/clancy needed dropping - clancy being the obvious choice but it would be both if we had the resources. Having said that, i think we all know what the lineup will actually be.
  23. As has been said, utter pish today. What has happened? Randolph made a good save but in general looks a shadow of last seasons self. The two centre halves were a bombscare. Jennings looked like he had just got out of bed. Didnt notice murphy was playing until the second half. Higdons had his worst game for us...yet still not the worst player. We have a very strong starting 11 and our early season form shows that but they have become unbelieveably complacent. We need to drop a few and bleed in the youngsters to give them a wake up call. Folk will say that we cant rely on youth but one way or another we have to i'm afraid. Its part of our club to bring through youth and sell on so that we can compete at the top end of the spl. For the hibs game we should be dropping clancy for page, humph for daley, murphy for lawless, jennings for forbes, higdon for mchugh and call me mental but hollis for randy. I'm actually looking forward to the tuesday to see how we react. But I for one will not be a happy chappy if its the same, predictable starting 11 again.

    Big Hutchie

It might just be me being a bitter, paranoid well fan but from the highlightds on sunday night did it look a bit like stokes left the boot in? I remember thinking that when watching the tv highlights but its not showing it on the online highlights. Real shame for Hutchie, doesnt seem to be getting much luck in the injury dept - just hope theres some silver lining from this.
