I was really hoping the Blyth would actually make an impact, but he is actually worse than Wes Fletcher. I think we'd be better with Mackin coming off the bench, but is he still loaned out?

We've got a player in Blyth, contracted for another year, who has failed to make any impression in the development league. Lucas is off the radar and I've got to say, if Clay is an improvement over an aging Lasley or Pearson I'm at a loss to understand. All of a sudden I'm very concerned that we are in a total battle to avoid the bottom two places.

Really disappointed. This was a real chance for Blyth to make an impression.

If I was Laing I'd be pretty pissed off about Motherwell too. McGees's comments about him on his release were not required.

I'm most concerned with Partick and Kilmarnock. Both played extremely well and they'd cut right through us. Although Jules is culpable for a lot of goals in recent games, I hope this experience doesn't destroy his confidence and career.

We watched Laing being freed and getting a move to our relegation rivals, a centre back with no senior football experience being brought in to replace him. Sums up our recruitment under McGee. That is the main concern I have about yesterday, aside from the the performance.

I couldn't put it any better. Right up until this morning I was supportive of McGee, but when I looked at the team sheet I was wondering when the hammering would come. If Laing, Kennedy, Watt, McMillan, Ferguson or, the young McGuire, is it? - well, if none of them are better than Jules and Chalmers in McGee's opinion then it is game over. Chalmers is the worst player I've ever seen in a Motherwell jersey. Makes Kevin Christie look like Cafu.

I'm more concerned by the fact that we pursued Bowman, paid a fee for him and then he's been pushed to the sidelines.
