I was speaking to someone who knows the situation at Kilmarnock well and he has suggested the whole club is in absolute turmoil. A agents of the players who they've signed were even surprised they ended up at the top division of Scottish football. It is a real scattergun approach to recruitment that makes us look like a stable club when we were under Jim Gannon.

The thing is, he could well step up a level and progress the way Stewart has done at Dundee.

Dundee can probably take a punt, they'll have cash to spend, even just by freeing up wages with the sale of Hemmings. I'd also expect them to sell Stewart as well, so the signing would make sense.

Seems to me to be a number of issues here. Hemmings was linked with some bog Championship clubs, yet got sold to Oxford. Johnson has been linked to Sheffield Wednesday, who last season took McGeady on loan to help them push for a promotion spot. If they were looking for a wide player to buy for this campaign, I'm sure a seven figure budget would be allocated. £12 million plus add ons has been quoted for a 29 year old Ross McCormack, I'm just hoping we hold out for £1 million plus for Johnson. Would be nice to get a few clubs in the hook for a bidding war.
