  1. Yes, it was like trying to eat a stale yum-yum from Greggs. PS. It's "disappointment" (should have gone to Braidhurst).
  2. I can assure you Stuart hasn't been able to muster a hard-on since 1963.
  3. There's no need to bring my missus into it, but thanks for your kind wishes anyway...
  4. After all the post-match hype that surrounded the 6-6, only a fool would bet against Sunday's game finishing 0-0. You know it makes sense...
  5. So where did your dad go on holiday...?

Podcasts not my forte, but the full show is on iPlayer. Although why waste time at the computer if trains get you all excited? Pop down to Motherwell station - there's a big choo-choo leaving Platform 1 in about ten minutes time. Don't forget your Kleenex.

Don't worry, I can assure you that will be broadcast on the show next week...

A bad workman always blames the tools! (But don't tell them I said that) Typos happen all the time. My favourite was in the Motherwell Times years ago before a charity game in Bellshill featuring a few ex-Motherwell players. They meant to say it was an "Old Crocks" game - but missed out the all-important 'r'...!
  9. Wasn't that an artificial pitch we had last night? Iceland then Norway? Should all start bevvying at Glasgow Airport to acclimitise ourselves to the price of drink...
  10. Willie, get yourself into The Grand. Syd
  11. Main point he made was that there has apparently been two "solid" bids for Reynolds. Also, when asked to describe the pitch in one word he said: "Excellent." Had to bin all questions about his age as, after congratulating him on his 70th just before the show started, it became crystal clear he didn't want us to labour the point during the programme. Fair enough. Syd
  12. To celebrate the 70th birthday today of Craig Brown, the BBC is rolling out the red carpet and inviting him as a special guest on Off The Ball on Radio Scotland this Saturday between 1pm and 3pm. All birthday messages and, more importantly, questions about the forthcoming season greatly appreciated and the best ones will be put to CB live on air. Sydney
  13. It's advisable to wear sunscreen in this weather...
  14. Late consolation goal... 40-1. Only for the fact Billy Broon is an ex-Motherwell man who still has a wee soft spot for the club.

Okay, might have been a tosser (think I was actually masturbating from about second year) but was always built like an anorexic rake at school, so gie's peace ya sad bawbag. Was going to say "get a life" but considering you were bashing that pish into your keyboard at FOUR O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING, I'm afraid it's far too late. Say hello to yer maw...

On a serious note, I've wondered for some time now why there's not a Greggs franchise inside every football ground. They know how to delivery flaky pastry to the masses and their grub is 1000 times better than anything you'll get at any stadium in Scotland. Punters would be delighted and the club would get an extra £350 courtesy of new season-ticket holder Michelle McManus...

A girl in the main stand kiosk heats up the burgers by holding them under her oxsters. You really don't want to know how she keeps the hot dogs warm...
  19. Just check the website given earlier and grab a sponsor sheet - the fact it's leaving from the Phil O'Donnell Stand will hopefully make as many Motherwell fans turn out as possible. Obviously a Tuesday but Eileen really wanted it on the anniversary and it is the week between Christmas and New Year, so good for traffic, roads, schools, etc. Hopefully a good turn out and, dare I say it, shades of the march in Nancy if enough Well fans turn out... Come if you can. Syd.
  20. Spoke to Eileen tonight and I know she's desperate for a right good turn-out from the Well fans, so please give your time (and your sponsor forms) if you can manage it. Cheers, Syd
  21. Thanks SuperSteelman, my gas-powered Atari is rubbish with the technical stuff.
  22. On Tuesday, December 29 - the second anniversary of Phil O’Donnell’s tragic death - a special fundraising walk is taking place between Fir Park, Motherwell and Celtic Park, Glasgow. (Incidentally, thanks to the constant roadworks on the M74, walking is probably the quickest way to make this particular journey...) It’s the brainchild of Phil’s widow Eileen who, along with her four kids, will be leading the 10-mile hike to raise money for The British Heart Foundation and Mary’s Meals. As well as persuading many of Phil’s former Motherwell and Celtic team-mates to take part, Eileen is hoping loads of fans from all across Scotland - particularly the Well punters - will pull on the walking boots to pay tribute to the legendary No10. So, if you fancy a wee stroll to help work off the festive fayre and want to lose a few pounds while gaining a few pounds for two great charities, check out the website (www.walk10for10.com) for full details and the chance to download a sponsorship form. The last time Phil made the journey from Motherwell to Parkhead, back in 1994, the sum involved was £1.75m. Please help Eileen raise another huge amount on December 29. Right... who's up for it???
  23. A wee question came up during last night's game and I was wondering if anyone knows the right answer - Who was Motherwell's first black player? Benito Kemble and Eliphas Shivute were both mentioned. As, of course, were Paul Wilson and Kenny Black. Well...?
  24. Wee bit unfair on Mark McGhee, Finlay, as he attended last year's sponsor night at The Shawlands Hotel, the game show night at the Mega Bar and took part in the Q&A at the night for Phil O'Donnell.
