That game was a Sunday night with kick off at back of 6pm. I think it was part of a pilot to give Sky something to make "Super Sunday" last a little longer. As the match was on Sky, I'm sure Boyle either dropped the prices or used one of his season ticket holders can bring 2 friends scheme to boost the crowd. The times you mention in the South, it was segregated with very small away support and no animosity between both sets of supporters.

The Stand cannot be segregated with both sets of supporters sharing turnstiles, pie stalls and toilets so thats a no.

What extra cost? How many police do you see in pubs so why should they need to be at a football stadium just cause they sell drink? The clubs already hire stewards who require to be licenced and there are already stewards who look after pie stalls. These same stewards go and work in pubs and nightclubs after a shift at football so are already used to dealing with inebriated supporters. At most, an extra couple of stewards would be required, not a return of large police presence.

Pretty sure that wasn't the last game of the season. If my memory serves me correct that was a Scottish Cup tie which Durie equalised to send the tie to a replay which we lost. Something also comes into my head that this was Andy Watsons game in charge after McLeish left us. Don't think Woods was that bad a keeper, again I think he was unfortunate in that we had been spoiled with Seib for a bit. The Twardzik comments on stature and shot-stopping ability are similar to comments from Man Utd fans about De Gea. I'm not saying Twardzik can be as good as De Gea but it shows that fan opinion can quickly change once a keeper gains some confidence in his own ability and in his defence and to a certain extent is part of a winning team.

The South Stand was ready to accommodate Well fans should the East/Cooper stand sell out. It was nothing to do with away fans having to be in a separate stand.

Because the minimum place that each team can finish in the top 6 is 6th. In terms of cashflow and planning for next season, the advance payment could be vital to some teams.

The County fan who collapsed outside the Cooper came to with the help of an ambulance shortly after the game started and the last I seen of him, he and his mate were walkin towards turnstyles. Have no idea if he got in but I did see his mate outside the exit doors of the POD at the end of the game

There is no guarantee that changing manager will help though so the argument is perfectly sound. We are in the same position Aberdeen were in with Jimmy Calderwood where they were acheiving decent league results (including getting through to Europa League) and yet he lost his job over a couple of poor cup results. Since then their league position slumped and they still got knocked out of the Cup early and its only in the last few seasons that they have started to become a credible threat in the league again. As for your suggestion of Paul Hartley, our board when we do look for a manager will seek someone with a good knowledge of English leagues (lower leagues in particular) as that is a market which has continued to prove fruitful for us in the past. I think this will knock suggestions like Hartley, Shiels or any of the other names commonly banded about in Scottish Football on the head. Were we to change manager, I think we could possibly look for someone like Owen Coyle who will have to work hard to rebuild his career given the allegations of unrest at Wigan and also meets the criteria of decent knowledge of english leagues.

They have to agree with Motherwell whatever price they choose. If both teams fail to agree then the pricing is the same as a regular Rovers League game.

I see a few folk have mentioned the Cup game versus Livi earlier this season as a marker for the support we'll take. I think many are forgetting that its the League Cup and we normally have a larger crowd for Scottish Cup games especially given the Scottish Cup is generally played on a Saturday and is probably the more romantic of the 2. If the prices for the game are the same as Saturdays game v Devronvale (Tenner and a Fiver) I think we could have a decent support. Whilst Cliftonhill might indeed be a shitehole, at least it has a character and history that the Broomfields, St Mirren Parks and Almondvales don't.
