    Canterbury

I like the extra sciency stuff which the Canterbury brand will bring but I think their recent strip designs are horrid wi too much wavy lines, curves and stuff. I hope they keep it simple a la Buktas designs.
  2. Mair pish from Keevins because his beloved Celtic lost points and he's making pathetic excuses when the truth is they are not good enough. Its only a matter of time before he highlights how many points we've won since the pitch has got worse and claims that we're gaining an unfair advantage because of it.
  3. I think the name of the group also prohibits some older members joining the group as how many folk would want to be known as being in a "baby crew" and I think the word boys didn't help the Well Boys as both a section of the fans and the club didn't give enough of their members enough respect as a number of them were more mature than the "boys" tag suggested. I also wanna say how disappointed I am in hearing the Well Boys have folded. Whilst they didn't appeal to everyone at no point could anyone question their loyalty to supporting the club. I had hoped the meeting with the club officials would've led to a bit of come and go from both sides and would've been beneficial for both sides in the long run.
  4. Sounds like a good night but I'll not be there as I think its a tad expensive and could surely have been done much cheaper to both club and fans and more lucrative for the club had they done this in house.
  5. I've seen us play better against either side of the Old Firm and not get anything so I'm delighted with the point. Over the course Celtic looked slightly the better team but I thought the draw was a fair result with players on both sides getting rewarded for their effort. The fact Celtic rolled into town with their usual arrogance and were sent home without getting things enitrely their own way and are now making feeble excuses about our pitch makes me all the more happier.
  6. Whilst I think Dave's suggestion is a good idea, the club will have to remember that they could be in for a very hard time from supporters if they go ahead with this idea and we still have a poor pitch this time next season. Pitches like Hampden and Easter Road have functioning USH systems and are still in poor nick. By creating a scheme where fans pay X amount of pounds will lead to many taking even more interest in the parks state than they currently do. A fundraiser of this nature isn't guaranteed to be a one off venture. I'm also surprised no one from the Trust has mentioned thier aptly named "Pitch In" fund. Is this still on the go? Wouldn't this be an ideal opportunity for the Trust to organise a workable option of Dave's suggestion and show that they really can deliver something of huge value to the club and win a few new members as well?
  7. Agreed, sadly its indicative after every defeat. It seems like more folk have more to say when we get beat and sadly its the same old targets. Yawn! Roll on Sunday - nothing like a visit from either of the gruesome twosome to get you back in the mood!
  8. I think folk are letting the fact he scored the winner last night cloud there judgement on Mehmet. He's another big burly striker who likes to dish out the fouls and can't take it back. Given the choice of an on-form Sutton, Clarky and Sheridan over an in form Mehmet, Mehmet would rate last in my opinion.
  9. Not if he got the same shite service from midfield that we were dishing out last night. Like many folk on here, I'd like to see more of Murphy but we should take care not to pin to much hopes on him being the answer to our poor link up play or as the next big thing. Let Murphy develop in his own time and we'll see just how good he can be.
  10. Getting put out of the Scottish Cup is always a sore one to take. The most frustrating thing is last nights performance pretty much summed up our season so far - to many games we've had plenty of possesion yet have failed to capitalise by not creating enough good enough chances that our strikers can score from. We're not that far away from 3rd or 4th points wise but anyone having those dreams this season is a little deluded as we're a long way off last seasons performances in which we quite rightly deserved European football.
  11. I love how we've all turned into amatuer gardeners on here. Yes there is a difference to replacing turf and re-seeding but the end result is still the same - grass. The only issue I have with the replacing/re-seeding is that Boyle should live up to what he promised. I very much doubt that an USH pipe burst. If I remember correct the club had to burst a layer of hardened clay which had been cooked by the USH heating and had moulded its way round the pipes. If there was a burst pipe then the pitch would be continually waterlogged with the USH bleeding water all the time. I think the issue is more along the lines that the USH isn't working to full capacity. By the time the club sorted it out last winter, we'd already experienced the worst of the winter weather. The club have promised to sort this issue out in the summer and the threat of future fines, not to mention the damage its done to our playing stlye has to be reason enough for them to finally act.
  12. U19s can consider themselves very unlucky. Never seen any of the first half but the Well totally dominated the second half and had a stonewall penalty claim denied when they were 2-0 down. The Well had a man sent off which allowed Rangers into the game and tired legs cost us at the end when the Well defence were caught out after pushing up when they were looking for the winner.
  13. I think the problem is the bubble itself blowing hot air over the park which is making the park very soft hence the reason it cuts up so easy. Given the conditions over the last week, the ground staff done very well to get the game on at all but it just makes their job harder each week.
  14. Given the amount of ignorant arseholes who park in there failing to let folk out, I'm seriously considering parking elsewhere. Its an absolute joke how many drivers aren't a little courteous. Its only a matter of time before theres a crash in that car park due to the amount of people having to force their way in.
  15. I don't think thats gonna work. If the club refund the tickets then the money should come from a mixture of both Inverurie and Motherwell else Motherwell will be refunding the entire total themselves and would still have to pay St Mirren as they are entitled to half the potential income from this Saturdays game.
  16. If Semi is any good will he become a Stauner!

    Tam Mcmanus?

Did he not get the winner in this game anaw? I'm not excusing his actions but given the abuse he was taking from a section of our support (including the web-site admin guy formerly known as Evenflow) he was more than entitled to reply.

    Bid For Lasley

I hope Lasley stays - nothing to do wi him being a good footballer, I just couldn't handle the multiple suicide threads on here were he to leave.
  19. Why would we wanna sign Yantorno? He's a luxury player who is good at taking corners and free kicks and nothing more.
  20. I don't think thats the case in the South Stand or indeed in any of the other stands as I can't see the club paying out for 2 seperate systems. The music down the bottom area of the South Stand where the turnstyles are located is to loud and when I asked why this is the same in every game, the reason I got was that the police turn the speakers up to full volume when making their announcements. I also can't see Motherwell asking Falkirk which tier they would want. What would happen if Falkirk requested the bottom tier yet it was soaked on the day of the game and their fans were moved to the top tier. As far as I know the decision on which tier is made on the day of the game but the match commander and whoevers got Uncle Ken's job. Falkirk fans are seriously deluding themselves if they think they can have any impact on a game no matter what position they are in the South until they can fill either tier. The points about the state of the pitch are valid as are the points on the cleanliness of the South Stand. For a stand which is still fairly new, its in shocking condition and is far dirtier than the Main Stand and its 40+ year older!

Fair enough that you should be recognised for an investment this "large" but does the equipment itself really have to carry the Trust badge? Is a bit in the programme and/or the website not enough recognition? Will the folk using the equipment really care who provided it?

I know this argument is fuck all to do wi me but that statement pretty much summed up my feelings on my membership fee for the Trust!
  23. If the money was part of the creditors agreement then surely he'll see nothing from it?
  24. Given our record on Setanta we should be turning down requests from them. We should only play exclusively for BBC Alba!
  25. It was mentioned when the club came out of administration so I'm pretty sure it was in which case McGhee won't be able to use it.
