  1. I think its a definitethat they would play it away from Cliftonhill given it can only handle 1200 given their covered terracing doesn't have a safety certificate.
  2. Myself, Peter Elder and ScottW1886 were at the Rovers game against Devronvale at the weekend. The Rovers board don't get on well with Jim Ballantyne at Airdrie so can see it being held at Almondvale after Livingston made it easy for the Rovers to play Sevco their early this season.
  3. Exactly Andy - their victories against us apart, Aberdeen have been prone to poor Cup displays themselves. Its the beauty of the Cup, form goes out the window and the best team on the night will progress. Was chatting to a colleague who is an Aberdeen fan and fears the worst for them tomorrow night. Should be a cracking Cup tie and I hope the players are as up for it as I am.

He came from Bathgate hence why I asked. We played our U20 games at Bathgate a few years and I'm sure if we had any problems injury wise then we wouldn't be going back. I'm also sure the last time our U20's played at the Creamery that some of our groundstaff helped out on a part time basis.

How do you know its a third rate surface? Have you forgotten where we recruited our current groundsman from?
  6. Fans do need solidarity but I don't think standing beside GB will help. They have caused lots of damage to stadiums up and down the SPL including our own
  7. Last Away win was, as you thought, the game Hately scored the free kick. Last Home win was 2nd October 2010 when we beat them 3-1 with Chris Humphrey scoring early on and Tom Hately (pen) and Jamie Murphy getting 2 late goals to seal the win. Match Report

    Jim Gannon

I stand corrected - I wasn't at the Hamilton game as I had the poor excuse of getting married that day. How did Hutchy get on at right back? I know we won 3-0 that day but can't imagine him as a full back.

    Jim Gannon

Hutch was already at the club but Gannon gave him his debut. The others you listed were all Gannon signings.
  10. I think we made a profit 2 seasons ago and a loss last year.
  11. As were are under 10 years since we came out of administration, the club does not have any overdraft facility from the bank.
  12. That is what we all should be doing but it seems Motherwell fans have the Chicken Licken complex of always looking for the sky to fall in. God forbid we ever actually take some enjoyment over what has been a relatively successful spell for the club albeit a spell where we have no trophies to show for it but a lot of happy memories.
  13. There are often still spare seats even when its registered as a sell out as folk could be sick or held up at work or whatever and not attend.
  14. Because someone could pay for a ticket, say they lost it and claim another whilst giving the other ticket to a friend and 2 folk entering for the price of 1.
  15. I don't think UEFA rules allow pay at the gate for European games.
  16. Whilst I agree with the rest of your post the comparison with Hearts doesn't stand up. They already had someone who wanted to lead them down a prudent path to financial stability - albeit one which involved selling their stadium and move elsewhere. Instead they replaced the man behind the curtain for some foreign nomad who they hadn't heard of but who promised them the world. The situation at Hearts is a lot more than Romanov's fault - all the Hearts fans who welcomed this madman and forced Chris Robinson to stand aside have to take a share of the blame but they are all to busy keeping a low profile these days (has anyone seen George Foulkes near Tynecastle).
  17. Yesterday wasn't a bank holiday
  18. Would rate Bob Malcolm much, much lower than Dougie Imrie.
  19. Could be across the North Lanarkshire border to Hamilton
  20. Match-fixing in their domestic league games.
  21. Last week I thought we should change the club name to 2-years-contracts-R-us FC but perhaps we should change it to Will-ye-know-come-back-again? FC given the chat on here in recent days
  22. That was what I thought but I didn't wanna pee on the guys chips.
  23. McGhee trusted Meldrum to make decisions on goalkeepers back then. Meldrum made a mistake with Krysiak by offering him a loan spell on the recommendation of folk supposedly in the know (one of which was Roy Aitken) and had major doubts in Krysiak's ability if he were to be called on for a long spell should Buzz have got injured.
