  1. I think the fact that the ref was taking some names and their goalkeeper had pissed off might have delayed the taking of the pen. I am not a huge fan of Craigans but to blame him for Murphy's miss is ridiculous. Did you miss him stopping Saunders getting a booking for dissent when we should have had a pen?
  2. Reading this thread I think this bit is all that is missing "I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend our goal, to ride out the storm of attacks, and to outlive the menace of defeat, if necessary for years, if necessary alone. We shall go on to the end, we shall play in France, we shall play on the seas and oceans, we shall play with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our goal, whatever the cost may be, we shall play on the beaches, we shall play on the landing grounds, we shall play in the fields and in the streets, we shall play in the hills; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this team or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our fans beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the their belief, would carry on the struggle, until, in God's good time, the New World order, with all its power and might, steps forth and Motherwell will be eventually victorius." Apologies to Winston "AWAY THE WELL"
  3. No it doesn't make it right but does bleating about it years on make it any better. I have seen my father lose a perfectly good business because some arsehole went awol with his companies money and sold all his subbies down the river. Got picked up by the old bill, did time for fraud and was decleared bankrupt with no assets other than those taken by the tax man nothing for the little man. Did my old man bleat about it for years.............. you bet he did but as he said recently it was a waste of time because no bastard listened. If Forrest or Strong had played for a bigger club you would never have of them again.
  4. Listen there are hundreds of people who attend Fir Park on a regular basis who have had their contracts of employment ripped up because of mismanagement of some form but they have not had the privelidge of a dividend paid from their former employer for almost 8 years after their employment was terminated. It is hard but...................tough get on with it.
  5. Damn internet went down for 40 minutes but got it up with 3 minutes too go, perfect timing. Game on
  6. Somebody should tell the wee bastard that we are trying to make sure that we don't have to make people redundant again whilst some welsh sheeping shagging bastard, who rejected Smellic, can get paid £45K to play for second class team in Wales
  7. That is what made my mind up. I thought the defence was immense last night, big Randolph looks the business, (BTW who was the last Motherwell keeper to have 3 clean sheets in his first 4 competitive games? ) The midfield did a decent job although second half you could see that they were well into their season whilst we haven't started yet. Humphrey looked really dangerous first half but worringly he tired quickly in the second. But as I said the star of the show was the "white-hot" number 9. Murphy led the line well and always looked to be a danger to them, his layoff to Page was a perfect example of a team player.
  8. Yes please Ruddy is history, just like O'Brien, the Duke and many more.
  9. Oh I think they might just make the trip this time. Personally I would prefer Man Shitty but agree that Odense probably give us the best chance of going through.
  10. You could blow that theory apart reading some of the pish on this forum though

Oofft that was very soft although reverse the roles and I would have been shouting for a pen too. No doubts that we can beat this team next week though.
  12. Just another money grabber on the Ibrox gravy train, good luck to him.
  13. Yeah but at least they have a journo in Norway and a TV crew which is more than they had in Flamurtari.
  14. Aye, Alistair Lamont is actually not a bad journo. No reason for the smiley other than the fact that I liked it
  15. I would say that is a fair summary but you missed out that it is hilarious
  16. This is definately the best thread ever. I actually hope this guy signs because more of this will be wonderful
  17. I would have him in an instant too but I don't think we could afford him. Motherwell 89 keep the faith kid, you are the best comedian on this site and that is saying something. However, forget the ageist pish being old does not signal your decrepit or past it. Keep this thread going it is brilliant, Gloria Esteban, if CB thinks signs him will become a legend.
  18. Thought that most of the guys were good but Jennings was superb
  19. I bet the guys who paid for it are pissed off that some of us got it for free
  20. I had to cross a river to get to Wales does that count as oversees? I think Toastie scored the last goal against Mypa
  21. Top with 5 Kirky and Forbes scored 4 I think.
  22. Top scorer with 5 Kirky and Forbes have 4
  23. I totally agree I thought his performance against "Ready Brek" was at times the best we have seen from him. I can't remember when he ever got so many crosses into the box, he linked well with Hately although there were a few mistakes and he looked to have their left back shitting himself whenever he had the ball. Keep the faith with Humph Mr Broon keep the faith.
