I said that on a thread a few months back - while all the initiatives seem aimed to get new punters through the door nothing seems to be done to win back those who have stopped. Nothing seems to be done to find out WHY they stopped either?

I agree. But even Brown and Know have said repeatedly they don't know how long they are here for - that's the concerning bit. Personally, I'd like them to have the job permanently.

Exactly - and as chairman it woulda been nice for him to be around during a critical period for the club. Glad he's back now. This period right here is gonna pretty much decide our season for us - and perhaps the way we are headed over the next few seasons.

Plus, I think potential signings would want to know who they are playing for/being coached by - is it Brown/Know or is that just for the rest of the season (if even that long) and some new boy comes in that maybe doesn't fancy these players and dumps them. This short-term outlook will affect our long-term ambitions, and at a time when money is tight.

Where is John Boyle? Time is marching on now and the chairman is nowhere to be seen. For all the good work he has done the past few seasons I've been disappointed he hasn't cut short his (rather long) holiday and steadied the rudder of the Good Ship Motherwell. We're a wee bit adrift and directionless right now and, at a hectic and important time like this, I must admit to being a bit scunnered he's not here to provide some direction. He can always resume his holiday later, after all.

What about a forum on this site (and others) where suggestions can be put and we can then get official answers straight from the club about them - anything from money-making ideas to hey, why are the pies minging and the bovril like watery you-know-what. When is teh catering contract up? That kinda thing? (Although, I daresay we'd end up with questions about paint drips on the stairs... ) Plus, it would be a way of fans letting the club know of wee things that are wrong with the stadium that they mighta missed - ya know, like the tap in the men's bogs in the East stand is leaking etc etc. Or is that a bit too nit-picky? Also, some sort of committee to let the manager know who to pick and what tactics/formation to play... You can choose from a different 'lucky forum member' every week.

Think we got lucky by missing out on Moore. That lad was a big haddie who liked getting himself sent off. Plus, big man, who is in charge of your career? You or the wife? Football is a short enough career and you'll be retired soon enough anyway so why let the wife dictate who you play for?
