Have to say that for all the press that other Jim Gannon signings have had this season I think Tom Hateley might be the best bit of business he has done for the club. What a player! Exactly the sort of guy the midfield has been crying out for for YEARS. To think he was languishing and that Reading had pretty much dumped him and even the Accies wouldn't give him a chance.... Magic player. Think he gave the ball away TWICE today - remarkable for a player in that position and for a guy that makes so many passes. Well played Tom - long may it continue.

Thought that was a fine jersey, spoiled only by the ridiculous shorts. Would have been much better with solid shorts in either white, claret or amber. Like that big 'shield' badge on it too. The hooped Pony jersey from the Coyne era was my fave though.

He's Charlton's player, not ours. If he'd just signed a 3-yr deal for us then, aye, those answers to the loaded question wouyldn't be going down particularly well but he's here for 6 months, says he will give us his all and then, most likely, is offski to a team that can actually afford him. I think his comments are fair enough - and, as was pointed out, no different to Porter's when he first joined us.
