I think it was maybe the agression he was showing while saying it - there was one point in his tirade where it actuall looked like her spat - not saying AT anyone or anything, just saying it looked like he spat - so I imagine the red was for his aggressiveness. The moron has no-one to blame but himslef, to be honest - an experienced player should know better than that. It's the behaviour you expect from youngsters, to be honest. As for the penalty, he caught the boy (who was already losing balance). A stupid, stupid challenge in the box on a player heading away from goal and looking unlikely to retain posession. Rangers/Bougherra can have no complaints about the whole situation.

Yep, was really impressed with Reynolds, and Saunders certainly didn't look like the weakest link back there at all. As for Jennings - think he just played himself into a start in the next game.

Pretty impressed with us, I have to say. Usually playing the OF we harry them and try and force them into mistakes, nip away at them and give them no room etc etc but today we are actually nice and calm, playing within ourselves and with great discipline. Loving this. Also, loved Jim O'Brien turning their boy into a pretzel over on the East Stand side. Marvellous!

Whit, I don't have friends that go to the games that I speak to weekly, hell DAILY even, about Motherwell and whose judgement I trust? That there's some astute observers on here (not you by the way) who don't succumb to the usual We Lost Therefore We are Pish or We Won Therefore We Are Juventus mantra whose opnion I value? Or do you think that after years of watching Hammell play from when he first broke into the team that he suddenly became a different player with different habits overnight? Or that I don't get occasional video access to games? Or that I don't listen to the radio whenever possible when Motherwell are playing? That's plain silly.

It's a fair point but we a more even spread throughout the team now so we don't have to rely on the strikers quite as much as before.

Honestly, I think he'd skoosh it in an OF team. I think Reynolds is the type of player who is going to get even better with better quality players around. Sure, he's not the sturdiest centre-half out there but you don't HAVE to be a 6 foot 5 clodhopper to play that position well - look at Cannavaro as an often-cited example. What Reynolds has that sets him apart from 99% of the other players in Scotland is a brain and that allied to his pace and athleticism will take him far in a top team.

Whose to say what we are paying Lukas is what Aberdeen would have been paying. If Aberdeen were in for him 4 weeks ago perhaps at that stage Everton were looking to have x% of his wages paid for but by the time we hooked up with him they had dropped it to y%.
