It's not difficult to log online to motherwellfc.co.uk and look at the squad list. In fact, you would think it is the sort of thing that a journalist would have to hand, deadline or no deadline. It's lazy and it's shoddy and there is no excuse for it - journalists, after all, are supposed to deal in facts.

I don't mind all these initiatives at letting new punters in on teh cheap but the flipside of that coin is that the die-hards who are there week in and week out never seem to catch a break like that. Howzabout reduced season ticket prices (a %age off) if you have a season book for 5 years? A further reduction after 10 years 'service' etc etc? Would just be nice to look after the everyday guys a bit.

These baseball-style 'option' contracts that Coke and Hateley are on, does anyone know who holds the option? Is it a club option, a player option or is it some sorta mutual thing?

Think that's a good idea. We have seen Boyle and, to a lesser extent, other chairmen try it for the occasional game but it might be a bit more successful if they ALL did it for, say, a month and at the same time. Give it a big push in the media and see what happens. Of course, the OF will baulk at the idea due to them loving the sheep-herd mentaility of their fans - they love the extra $$$ they can easily swindle out of them each week without complaint.

The cost is a disgrace - sadly i is the cost of 'progress'. Players have more power and they all have angents taking a cut and that is where most of the moeny is going instead of back into football's infrastructure. Something that needs sorting but the powers-that-be are getting rather a large whack of cash too so are unliley to do the right thing.

A wee word of praise for Tom Hateley who must have been thrown right in there. Didn't sound like he was TOO bad - wonder what the opinion of those at the match will be.
