Who do you drop, Higdon or Murphy? No way Clarky comes to sit on our bench and I don't think Clarky/Murphy would be a good combo and no way we bench Murphy in a Higdon/Clarky combo. All very well saying let's get this guy or that guy but they have to fit into our squad. Clarky might be a decent pick up were we to sell Murphy on, however....
We were gonna sign that French/African trialist last week until the transfer fee scuppered things so doubt that the budget has been cut. Saunders wage now available also as SFA I presume will pick it up
That's simply eye-popping especially when you factor in that the h**s haven't had a frightening team for quite a few years now. I'm talking about when they had guys like Laudrup, Gazza and Hateley snr. The Whittaker's, Edu's, and McCulloch's don't exactly give you brown knickers so that stat is appalling. Time to change it. Not to say it will be easy but still we have to step up and do something
I fear the worst for those daredevil at the back there who are standing up with seemingly no thought to their own safety. The one in white is even LEANING FORWARD SLIGHTLY oblivious to the fact that gravity could kick in at any moment. God only knows what would happen if he had fallen over. He might have had the pish ripped right out him by his mates. In fact, I bet this foolhardy mob were probably involved earlier in that dangerous pastime of walking and could even have crossed a road - all the while the Nanny State blithely stands buy and allows this sort of behavior to go unpunished and, indeed, unsupervised. Shocking.
Certainly seems to favour teams with the money, as usual. Smaller teams like us who can bring boys on get the shaft while teams with spending power can just accumulate players and have them rot.
Anathema to many I am sure but I'd be fine with seeing how Forbes gets on in there in place of Lasley. I reckon the easiest option for McCall however would be to slot Hateley in there and move Saunders to right back presuming Hutch's balls aren't still swollen.
Sounds like McCall doesn't have too much trust in his bench. I am sure we will be stronger, though, when we get another couple in before the window closes
