Aye well there’s a funny(ish) story there. Do you want me to add you to all my friends?” “Erm, ah’m no sae sure that’s such a good idea…” “Too late da, ah’ve clicked it noo.” So added to the wee man’s friends he was and over the next week got email after email from 14 year old girls demanding to know who he was and how he had their email address and they were gaunny tell their da they were getting groomed off a paedo. I'm not sure that it does tbh. I always think that the size of a club's home crowd is a decent indicator of the level of success it can expect. It's not an absolute measure but is close enough as, loosely, the more paying customers you have the bigger your income and the more money you have then theoretically you can invest more in a better quality team (doesn't always work as Torre Andre Flo went out of his way to prove). In this respect we're probably a bottom 6 team given that we usually have around 5k punters - much less than at least 5 other SPL teams and around a tenth of each of the OF. By rights we should be nowhere near European qualification. So when you say "performing at a higher than your talent should allow", you could easily replace the word talent with budget and I think the statement becomes a fair one.

I agree with this. If we play good, attractive football then we will get results. We will ship goals but we'll score loads too. Saturday's game was gripping listening (well the second half was) and the commentators were raving about it. I'll take that.

And that's as it should be. I've never booed my team and don't really understand those who do.

Didn’t get into the lounge despite being probably the only person with a genuine lounge membership card! Just wasn’t for the right airline. Thought I could blag it but they were having none of it. Went out on the Friday night with some of the dudes in the pic and spent half the night searching for a specific nightclub (El Grande Presidente – won’t forget that in a hurry). Got in and were chatting to some Dinamo fans who were teaching us to chant “Muie Steaua” (fuck Steaua). Then this guy says “we are Nazis”. I thought I’d misheard him but he gets his phone out and he’s got all these pictures of Hitler and other assorted Nazi imagery. Cue another arse collapse! He’s going “you are my friend, no?” and I’m going “Aye, nae bother mate, anything you say.” There wasn’t any hassle though and it was a top night.

Got all the way back to Sciphol with no-one noticing then when we were boarding the last flight the guy was checking the passports then did a double take when he noticed the date. "Thish hash exshpired". Oor arses collapsed a bit but they were cool about it and it wasn't really a problem. Whit a night out we had on Saturday. I've never seen so much awesome clunge in ma puff. Wall to wall perfect 10's.

Just got back, what an awesome, awesome trip. I'll be back in Romania next year for ma holidays. Just amazing.

I've not booked yet, need to wait until tomorrow to make sure I can get the time off. Some questions though. Anyone got a spare accommodation berth they want filled? Anyone staying until the Saturday? Anyone made any plans to meet up on the Wednesday night for 50p pints and 20p vodkas? Most of the hotels I've checked out online seem to be reasonably close so it shouldn't be too hard to find a pub that's handy for everyone. Also, standard stuff for Eastern Europe but a pen + paper is handy for negotiating with taxi drivers at the airport. Don't get into a taxi without agreeing a price first.

I'm trying to get sorted at the moment. I'll be flying from Newcastle but connecting in Amsterdam like everyone else. Is anyone staying till the Saturday? Might as well make a decent night oot of it.
