Said this at game yesterday. Yes we had poor teams in the mid to late 80's but we were a club getting out of deep financial crisis and McLean and Chapman had us heading in the right direction.
We as a club at present have no leadership or direction, on or off the park.
Tells a story when at least 3 season ticket holders who sit near me haven't been seen at last few home games.
People are getting seriously fed up.
Definitely time for action. McCall has ran out of ideas and it's now becoming embarrassing.
No matter how good a job McCall has done, we are now in total freefall and cannot let it go on.
Personally I would appoint someone like Tommy McLean to try keep us in the league with a view to appointing a younger man long term.
For me he doesn't look fit. Looks heavier than he did last season, like a few other players, and was struggling in the ICT game second half.
Still I think when he gets his first goal he'll go on a wee run again. He'll still hit double figures easy.
Woeful display utterly woeful.
Where do you start with that. Absolutely no shape to the team whatsoever. No left sided midfielder leaving Ferguson exposed all first half.
Ainsworth total disgrace. Doesn't even look remotely interested. Sutton not much better. Both need dropped pronto.
We look so unfit its unbelievable. Caley players all looked so much bigger stronger and fitter.
Did the Caley keeper have a save to make all day? How many teams lead one nil in a game and have absolutely no pressure put on them at all even in last 10 minutes.
We should have been throwing everything at them late on. Replacing a midfielder with a midfielder with 10 minutes to go was pointless when we still had a striker on the bench.
A long season ahead.
Woods by far worse than any keeper I've seen in goals for us. Only reason he got away with it was because of the class defenders we had at the club around that time.
Just back from a weekend in northern Ireland and on ferry met a few young lads from the motherwell youth side. Apparently psycho took a heart attack a month ago and the lads were over from the club to pay him a visit. According to the lads he's on the mend which is good news.
A bit disappointed that it took a chance meeting with youth players to hear about it though as he is a real cult hero and legend.
Hope the club are planning to bring him over when he has fully recovered .
Do you read posts before you quote them?
I never said we should copy anyone. I said we should play more friendly's down south against decent opposition. Never mentioned whether it was while we were in Europe or not.
Yeah one game in years. Should be going down every year and playing decent size clubs. We need rid of this small club mentality. We were 2nd best team in whole of Scotland last year and we should have had some very decent friendlys lined up, Europe or not.
Back on topic regarding friendly games. Dundee down at Sheffield utd last week, Dundee utd down at Leeds yesterday and Inverness down at Birmingham.
Why the hell cant we get a decent away day against a big English club.
How the hell are they all injured. We've hardly played. Same happened last season after the January break we had. Came back worse off than we were before it.
Jeezo we hardly train and when we do we end up with injuries galore. Can't remember a pre season I've felt so pissed off about things for ages.
The young well lads beat county down 4-3 in the final today.
Disappointed but not surprised that the official site or Facebook page didn't keep the fans updated on how the lads were doing.
No offence but this is all an absolute joke. Clambering round trying to arrange a game with just over a week till the opening game.
This should have been sorted ages ago. Even if we were still in Europe, we should have had games on the weekends in between. Someone described us as amateurs earlier on in the thread. By fuck they where right.
