  1. Michael Wimmer is a German football coach and former player. Born on June 18, 1980, in Dingolfing, West Germany, he played as a midfielder during his career. After transitioning to coaching, he has held various roles, including assistant and head coach positions at clubs like 1. FC Nürnberg, FC Augsburg, VfB Stuttgart, and Austria Wien1. Recently, he was appointed as the new manager of Motherwell Football Club Coaching Experience: Held various roles at clubs like 1. FC Nürnberg, FC Augsburg, VfB Stuttgart, and Austria Wien. Recently appointed as the manager of Motherwell Football Club. Comparative Analysis: Experience: Similar to many seasoned managers in the league. Success Rate: Competitive, with notable performances during his interim stints. Tactical Approach: Prefers a 3-4-1-2 formation. Development Focus: Strong background in youth development. Formation: Favors a 3-4-1-2 setup with three central defenders, four midfielders (including wing-backs), one attacking midfielder, and two forwards. This formation provides a solid defensive base and attacking flexibility. (from CoPilot) Looks like no change in formation folks. Hopefully he can add something different to this, Oh and Welcome to the Club
  2. The story for Wimmer says that a work application from Bristol Rovers was rejected at the end of last uear b the FA. Do we have different criteria?
  3. Jack McMillan involved for Exter tonight against Forest, with Jack Aitchison on the bench. Been a good game, Exeter down to 10 men going into extra-time. So still time for AItchison to come on as Forest needed to use a concussion sub on 90 minutes. They had just announced 10 minutes injury time, the game was held up for 10 minutes before that was played.
  4. Time for him to go. He's on about injuries but even with 3 defenders out we still put out a back 5 that have had enough game time this season. Its not as if he needed to use youngsters to fill the void. The formation was still the same as most of his games in charge and this sitting back and allow teams to have possession is killing us. I can understand it if it's against the Glasgow pair but the rest of the teams in the league we shouldn't be allowing it. So, none of the above was affected by the 9 players being out, we'd have still played the same way I see he is after another striker (despite needing a replacement for McGinn or some steel in the midfield.) The issue doesn't lie with the strikers not getting gaols, it lies with them not getting the service to at least get attempts in to start with. Its always the same excuses after the game but nothing changes. So, yea time to go. The question is who replaces him, on that I am still not sure but one thing I do know is, whoever it is, we don't offer them a new contract after 6 months just because they won a couple of games.
  5. Next door neighbour is a Utd fan, Moult is fit but they have brought in a couple of new strikers and Moult is now seen as a bench player to bring on without disturbing the team too much and keep quality on the park. He did wonder if we'd see him back at Fir Park for regular football but he's delighted he's stayed.
  6. Makes you wonder why he didn't get more game time when Kelly was off the boil
  7. There were a couple of late additions, Iona Boyle and Jim Wright
  8. If Clyde win against Montrose, they will be on the same points (if we draw and lose the penalties) and potentially better GD, does head to head count, or do we realistically need the draw and bonus point as a minimum?
  9. Nah, I cannae blame them for the way things happened, suppose most of us would've felt the same way when the redundancies were announced. Those two I can forgive. Boyd however, that's a different story. Wonder what Chelsea fans make of the "my career only started when I signed for the Green Uglies"
  10. Don't win next week and there's no guarantee we' finish one of the 3 best 2nd place. We may have a better idea midweek, but for my money we need to win. With Thistle got a game in hand a better goal difference after their massive 6-0 win today, its gonna be tough next week.
  11. Email in and after much deliberation and back and fro (not really), I decided to accept to reject the offer.
  12. After reading that through twice, it is well put together and the combination of the Podcast with Jay at least lets us see there is a plan in place from the Society and I look forward to see how much of it comes to fruition for them. Seems to be a lot of work done around the whole proposal and good to see it doesn't just focus on the club but the community, Womens team, the towns and villages around Motherwell. I hope that includes the likes of Cumbernauld. Its only 20 minutes drive away, so well within travelling distance by car and easily accessible now by train.
  13. Looks like they have at least listened to views. The WS still has to write off half the loan from the club but guaranteed ownership at the end of the 6years for that, some will agree that is a reasonable deal, others will still be against it. £30K less for the buyout, is just a little sugar on top of that... or not enough depending which side you are on. Revising this, they have given what most folk wanted, to retain fan ownership. Now its just down to what the Society Members decide, after an updated statement from the WS Board.
  14. Rock and hard place, can you imagine if the voting went the same way as the Exec Board or even just the reverse result, so was accepted and then us the paying punters found out. They may have decided to just give us the best of the deals to vote on, hence rejecting the rest. Easier with a Yes or No, than voting for 6 choices and one with only 30% agreeing to it, being passed.
