Summer football is probably a good idea until you imagine that we do indeed improve our performances in Europe, so much so that we have teams in after Xmas, then a season starting in March to November would be asked to look at again, as the teams involved would be on preseason\early season so no chance of making it to the Finals. Think it's a bit of a catch 22, really and although I am for more games being played in better weather, there is no garauntee that May or June will provide this.

Last 4 games pre split..... Dons (H) Accies (A) Rangers (H) Celtic (H) I hope we are either all ready in the top 6 prior to that run or at least clear of the play off spot... Those 4 games of the season could make or break our campaign, with what you'd expect to be only 1 winnable game. It's going to be interesting, get the seat belts tightened the rollercoaster will be departing shortly.....

My oldest lad used to play with him at boys club level. One of only two times I seen a Motherwell Scout out and about as well. His club Garnkirk were playing at a tournament at Rossvale and Stephen was approached and asked to consider a trial at Motherwell. Last was end of season and last I heard of him until he appeared at Accies, was so disappointed he hadn't come to our side of the motorway. If he is available, he has to be worth a look at.Hopefully he sees sense this time if a contract is offered

No worries Busta. Just gets up my goat looking at the way the BBC is gushing over the fixtures for next season in the EPL and I know that come next week with the Football Leagues fixtures out today's before ours, we'll be left fighting for any sort of acknowledgement.

I'll give you that...

Disappointed yet again in the SPFL getting the fixtures out. The EPL released their fixtures today and start a week after we do. The Football League will announce their Fixtures next Wednesday The SPFL won't release them until the 23rd June, just 6 weeks before the League starts. We have less teams than the above two combined, so the only reasons I can see for this is to make sure that the fixtures for Sevco and Celtic are okay with them and that giving the TV companies to sort out the English fixtures to be shown live, so they can squeeze the SPFL games in around them. However we all know that TV will only select a few games at a time so shouldn't really make much difference. We also know from past experience that at least Celtic will postpone an away game for a "glamour" friendly within the first couple of weeks. Sevco may as well if they are already out of Europe by then as well.

Seeing as he is a utility player that can play in defence or midfield, we should sign.... may need cover for the midfield...... If Hibs are in for him, I'd imagine the better wages on offer there, may put us out of the running,
