  1. Leaving the game yesterday, I was still trying to think of next Saturday as being the bigger game of the three left to play.... then I heard someone say that the ICT game could be to decide who goes down and who gets the playoff. That in itself is a scary thought. I had always thought all we may really need to do is to match accies results and make sure we beat them to be safe.... So when we were heading for a point yesterday, I was happy with that. Then Jules comes on.. his first touch of the ball he has a short pass to McHugh to make but is heavy on it and it ends up heading back to Griffiths and he was lucky that RC didn't chse after it. Then to do what he does as the ball is heading out is suicidal. The first thing any defender is taught... if in doubt, boot it out... no he tries to play football in out own area, another no no. If as true, Robinson has said to the board to sign him in the Summer, then Robinson has to go as well, as I am worried about what he classes as a player. Lets hope Hamilton have a bad day next week or we are totally screwed. Sums it up when my sister, a Dunfermline fan, tells me she came off the M74 yesterday on her way back from Dumfries to remind herself where our stadium was,
  2. Robinson saying in his interview that McMillan has broken his wrist during the week.
  3. Just seen this on the Scotsman who are claiming 4 clubs need a rebuild this Summer. Skippy maybe but really do they actually do their research on what the fans think.
  4. I am starting to feel like a Celtic fan and thinking there's a conspiracy afoot to see ICT and Motherwell relegated this season... 2 goals not given against Dundee, one against Hamilton, both our nearest rivals and all 3 would've given us extra points on the board. On top of that you have the red card binge we went on earlier this season and how none of them were successfully appealed, despite seeing other worst tackles not even having the ref talking to the player..... even better Brown's tackle was a red. Then Halliday gets away with a challenge in the semi final game, the next day a Celtic player says the fact that tackle wasn't punished should be vindication for over turning Brown's red..... shockarooni.. days later it's reduced to a yellow.... However I then start thinking ICT game, we got a goal that may or may not have been but I can't think of anything else that's went in our favour, so the paranoia starts again... did we get that goal to ensure ICT struggle to stay up.. plenty of time to down us.... Schalk gets a penalty that never was against Celtic to give them an extra point.. Then I slap myself on the face and look a little wider at the some of the refereeing decisions around the country and see the likes of Falkirk getting a penalty for one of the most blatant dives ever and you start to realise that the referees and assistants this season, no matter what the level are worse than they have probably ever been but you can garauntee over the Summer that they will be looking for more money for next season.... I have been against goal line tech and video reviews but I am now wondering if we should be doing something down these lines. I know clubs in Scotland can't afford goal line tech so it leaves video reviews, I know we could use two other officials like they do in some other competitions, but I have seen them not give goals or advise the ref of incidents in the penalty box, So to video reviews, you'd have to have cameras looking along the goal line and possible ones just behinf the goal line or around the goals, then you'd be looking at ones to cover the penalty area.... feasible? Possibly not... so once again leaves us with the human element so do we have to accept the standard we are currently seeing and jut say get on with it or should we be pushing clubs and the relevant bodies to make the training of the refs better and responsible for their decisions.... If a red card can be rescinded, why can't a goal be given or struck off on review and the points adjusted accordingly? I have went on a rant here and I'll apologise for that but would be interested to hear others thoughts on the best way forward,,,,, or even if anyone else is feeling a little paranoid....
  5. Just looking at some Gillingham forums, this page has one post about his missus apparently saying they were moving on Twitter as well as possible reasons for suspension. http://www.gillingham.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=6610&posts=9#M47581 Others are forums are suggesting the club is being ran like a non league outfit, not happy with the board. Saw another post suggesting he wouldn't be a big loss. However there game tomorrow is the last game of their season, so seems daft suspending him unless they are peeved that he won't be there next season and don't want the manager to select him for the final game.
  6. I noticed from the Well Society newsletter link to the board meeting that the club needed to indicate if it was bidding for a place in the Elite League by March 31st. So far I haven't seen anything to confirm if this was done or not, anyone have any knowledge of this?
  7. Happy with the point, considering what has happened previously this season.
  8. Also the Herald carrying a story yesterday on Lasley, http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/15169701.__39_I__39_ll_not_hang_around_Motherwell_team_if_I__39_m_not_contributing___39__says_captain_Keith_Lasley/

    Injuries

As far as I am aware he s still at the club but is injured. He was down South to see, I presume a specialist, a few weeks ago.
  11. I would think if we won those 4 games, it'd be enough. Accies don't look like winning anytime soon either. Inverness will be the team to look out for.
  12. Definitely did come off the inside of the post before teasing us. Shame no-one had the gumption to go after the ball instead of watching it.... but to be fair it looked in all the way.
  13. McGhee has been given a 6 game touchline ban for the carry on here. 5 for the incident and 1 that had been suspended earlier in the season. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39292866 Wonder if that includes Internationals.
  14. Robinson says it was McGhee that wanted him back to help with the coaching, got to take him at his word.
  15. Not seeing it confirmed anywhere. so hopefully just fishing...... please be fishing....
  16. I know I have my nappies on Jim..
  17. It might not even be from our side. A new manager might be worried about having a relegation on his CV and would rather wait until the Summer to decide. Or we may have decided to go for someone already in a job but under contract until the Summer. However if we had 50 applicants and only 1 of them have been interviewed then who actually applied?
  18. If Heneghan, Jules and McHugh ll make it for tomorrow, it may be an idea to never play poker with Robinson.
  19. As much as I like to behind Robinson for the job, he knows the majority of the players, he is respected around the club and with Northern Ireland. I can understand why some people say to forget about Oldham as he had to bring in 23 players..... in a few weeks time though he is going to have start looking at replacing those we lose.... my head keeps thinking........... Ian Cathro His name kept coming up for various jobs but he didn't jump until Hearts came along..... did he underestimate the job or is he better to have on the coaching team, rather than in charge... So at the minute I feel the same way about Robinson.. definitely want him involved with the coaching team but man in charge..... not so sure..... that doesn't however mean I will be pissed off if he does get it.
  20. So the team could be Samson McMillan, McGuire, Ferguson, Hammell Cadden, Lasley, Clay, Pearson McDonald, and either Bowman or Ainsworth up front. The other on the bench with Griigiths, Lucas, Frear, Campbell, Hastie, Blyth Gives me the fear that we could lose more than 7 goals.....
  21. I know wee yin, I am just using to justify hoping we rip him in the next ICT game.
  22. I want McCulloch as manager...... of Kilmarnock... At this minute in time, not the person we need. As well as being a novice manager, he'd have to get know the players and prove to them that he was the gaffer, too many old pals in the team at present. I still haven't decided who I'd like Coyle or Davies would do but would they take it? I don't think so. Simo, not this time around. I am not even sure Robinson would be a decent fit. Hughes, just don't see him fitting our club. Peter Houston? Without a doubt but would he leave Falkirk. As long as it isn't Craig Brown, Terry Butcher (no disrespect intended) or Malpish.
