This wasn't aimed at a dig at the club and I wasn't trying to compare finances, as I pointed out I am aware of the money going in there. I was more surprised at the season ticket prices of those leagues and the fact that there were 13 clubs in the EPL that offer a better value (on the field) on their cheapest season tickets than our dearest. I was equally surprised at the fact only 2 Championship Clubs season tickets were above our dearest. I think with the amount of complaining that you hear from the English media about price of tickets at an EPL or Championship game as being extortionate. On a game by game basis maybe but there are some good deals to be had, if you are willing to pay for a ST. at West Ham for instance at £289,you are getting some deal, I'd imagine after about 11 home games you'd be quids in and getting entry to the rest for free and that's Premier League games against the likes of Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea etc.

The prices released by the footballing authorities make for some interesting reading, especially when we hear how dear football is in England. Granted some of these figures maybe due to the money being thrown into English football but has to beg the question, are we still trying to keep up with our neighbours down South. Personally, sadly for me work and personal issues have been consuming my life for the last year plus. I made the game on Saturday but only because I got a call from the Well Society to say I had won hospitality in the centenary, made it an easy call to say yes or no to the overtime I was asked if I could do. Although the overtime I will be doing between now and Xmas is financially good for me but I can feel the claret and amber drain from my blood........ hence why days like Saturday become mportant to me. While I am working during game time, I tend to have Twitter, Mixlr and the bbc websites open continuosly checking in on our game and what is happening around, This site very rarely gets looked at during the game these days as the users on the site use other social media to talk about the game as it's going on. That's fine, time has moved on since this site was founded and the same as everything else we all grow in different ways and things that were once important get replaced. However the site does still have it's purpose and if that's to let of steam after the game or to praise Moulty for playing like Suarez then so be it. If you look you can still find snippets in advance of what's happening in the club.

Just seen the highlights of the Birmingham/Sheffield Wednesday game with Juke scoring a late winner. All 3 goals scored by players who not too long ago were playin in the SPL. Hooper for Wednesday, Donaldson and Juke for Birmingham. Chris Humphrey with an own goal as well.

That's got to be the weirdest signing yet, been available from the bench and not brought on, despite McGhee saying he looked at the bench in the certain games and couldn't see anyone to bring on. Surely have someone that's a better passer than Las etc, is what's needed when we're trying to keep the ball or break a team down.
