  1. Pleased with Gomis, a decent player. Now who drops out of the midfield for him? Would be a bit unfair on Cadden if it was him.
  2. China apparently. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/hearts-make-15million-osman-sow-7286680#sxLEQJsYbHVCKEjL.97 5 months left on his current contract.
  3. Oxford Utd apparently interested in Maguire.
  4. I was just pointing out the level of the players on a freebie... Not saying that I'd like us to see them signed... however in Maguire's case he has had at least had something about him in the past and he's still only 27, so he's got years on some of our current elder statemen....
  5. There probably are but likely to involve a fee, not sure if we'll see any money laid out for players this window unless we sell someone this afternoon.
  6. See Chris Maguire has been released from Rotherham, there's an abundance of freebies piling up for us.......
  7. This from the BBC: Ryan WIlliams previously linked with us. Going by last January's recruitment we like a player from York..... John McCombe 30 year old Centre Back.. Josh Laurent described as a midfielder and occassional defender, 20 years old has been through the QPR Accademy. Montell Moore another 20 year old midfielder came through Brentford's Academy. Aurelien Joachim striker that seems to have had his goals dried up recently. I am not saying that we are after any of these players but I'd imagine that this is a sample from the pool of players (i.e free transfers and\or players agreeing to cancel their current contracts with their clubs) that we are shopping in if we are signing permanently, rather than a loan.
  8. Was just going to post. http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Port-Vale-transfer-news-Valiants-sign-Derby/story-28599228-detail/story.html From Port Vale's site http://www.port-vale.co.uk/news/article/robinson-makes-vale-park-switch-2919844.aspx
  9. The following teams over the last month have had higher attendances than yesterday's at Killie. National League (Conference) Tranmere Rovers Wrexham Grimbsy Town Chester FC National League North Stockport County A lot of the other teams have had between 2000 and 2500. That is balanced by pothers only having 600.
  10. From the Herald, this is just going to keep rumbling on. http://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/13901724.Spiers_on_Sport__Rangers_and_Celtic_fans_deserve_chance_to_prove_that_legislation_is_the_problem/
  11. See Simo has guided SJK to the Finnish title. Well done to them. Hopefully he'll be interested in the job the next time it comes around.
  12. Been digesting this overnight and now the decision has been made by the club, no matter our feelings we have to get behind Mutley and hope he can turn this season around. If we start seeing players actually giving a toss over the next few weeks we may finish towards the top 6, however if they down tools again what do we do? Some of them are on long contracts so we can't release them without costing the club and with that attitude we won't be able to sell them either. One thing that seems to have got the teams performing over the last few years was the togetherness off the squad, not the in-fighting w're hearing about. Good luck Mutley, you're gonna need it, both in the dressing room and on matchday.
  13. Awaiting for an ink refill so he can sign the contract ..... Had another thought maybe has demanded that Bob Malcolm be brought back.....
  14. The good news is he won't be bringing Bob Malcolm back to be the midfield maestro. .
  15. How would that work? Which one would drop from a former manager to an assistant..... it's just so out there as an idea............... that it wouldn't surprise me if it was true....
  16. and subbed after 53 minutes. His replacement then scored.
  17. Question is, would Jackie Mac come into our thinking?? He has been sold short by the Utd board, selling their best players. He does seem to have a decent eye\knowledge of the younger lads down the Scottish League. Could tie in with the identify, sign and sell on for profit later on that Les Hutchison is looking to build the club on..

    Baraclough Out

I have heard that Luc Nijholt is only a call away and the Freddie Dindeleux has been seen in the shop. From Skybet's list http://www.skybet.com/football/specials/manager-specials Stephen Craigan 6/4 Danny Lennon 4/1 Mixu Paatelainen 8/1 Keith Lasley 8/1 James Fowler 8/1 Stuart McCall 8/1 Peter Houston 10/1 Jim McIntyre 16/1 Ray McKinnon 20/1 Martin Canning 20/1 Pat Fenlon 25/1 Jim Duffy 25/1 Paul Hartley 25/1 John Hughes 25/1 Stevie Aiken 33/1 Allan Johnstone 33/1 Mark McGhee 33/1 Terry Butcher 33/1 Craig Brown 50/1 If it was me, I'd happilly appoint Allan Johnstone, his Dunfermline team are the highest scorers in Scotland (at least prior to the League cup games midweek) and it would really let me annoy my sister as they are her team. Personal fantasies and wind ups aside, from that list apart from maybe McGhee I either don't like the names or don't enough about them to say he'll do.

Sun reporting 14 minutes ago, he's bracing himself for the sack. Board apparently deciding if he should get Saturday's game or let go now.
  21. If the clown is in charge on Saturday I wouldn't be surprised to see us line up with Lasley, McManus, Laing McDonald Samson, Twardzik, Moult Ainsworth Hammell Chalmers, Thomas Seriously though Ripley Watt\Law, Kennedy, Laing, Hammell Ainsworth, Lasley, Grimshaw, Thomas McDonald, Moult With Skippy being told he'll be fined if he crosses back into our half for anything other than defending a corner. I'd also be telling Ainsworth his pay packet will be halved if he doesn't want to help defend as well.

Lol, I ain't touting anyone, just trying to see what type of manager we should be going for.....

Sorry Leanne but he's had the time, this isn't a knee jerk reaction from fans. We can see he can't turn this around, why can't you? I like to think I am one of the last voices into the Barraclough out club. We have seen this team struggle twice now against lower league sides. We have seen this team not able to compete with sides in the Premier League, just look at Ross County and how they have improved this season. We're not even seeing signs that we're improving.

Looking at a replacement, do we go for someone that's been there and done it eg. Calderwood or should we be looking down the leagues and bringing in one of the managers that are proving themselves there. Maybe give Allan Johnston a shot at the top table again, he's doing well with Dunfermline just now. What's the thoughts?
