  1. Thistle forum says he took a knock on his knee in training
  2. But. but.. but... what about Shankland?? Lol, I get your point though, I think it's fairly easy to see where that stopped though. If they can't play for one of the big sides in Glasgow (and I don't mean Partick) then they can't bet good enough for Scotland.
  3. A weird one this, why not do that before the window shut? Will we bring another forward in? I thought Shaw was brought in as an addition to our front line, not a replacement. Other players I would've happily seen leave ahead of Efford
  4. So do they fall under the "flaw" and "under performed" Stuart Kettlewell aims to transform flaws into success in Motherwell revamp
  5. win 5-4 on pens, not good enough, need to keep shipping players out. Anymore Indian clubs looking?
  6. Brian McLean the new manager.... Motherwell Colts?
  7. Possible big payday Curtis Main linked with Wrexham
  8. Stuart McKinstry set for release. I know he hasn't got a lot of game time since SK took charge, but I was wondering if he could play the Spittal Role in the team? Would it be worth looking to see if we could keep? Thoughts?
  9. https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2023/03/01/richard-foster-named-head-of-coaching/ RICHARD FOSTER NAMED HEAD OF COACHING 18:37 Richard Foster has been appointed head of coaching. Joining the club and starting immediately, Foster will oversee coaches within our academy at all youth levels. Alongside this, he will be coaching our Under 16s team and will be involved at Under 18s level. With Stuart Kettlewell’s role of lead development coach vacant, since he became first-team manager, Foster will be coaching the Under 18s until a replacement has been appointed. Foster began his career at Aberdeen where went on to make over 200 appearances for the Dons. In his time, he turned out for Rangers, Ross County, St Johnstone, Bristol City and Partick Thistle while also being selected for Scotland duty in 2012. He was assistant manager with USL Championship side Detroit City for the 2022 season before returning to Scotland earlier this month. “This is a really exciting opportunity for me at the perfect time,” Foster said. “Motherwell is renowned for developing young players that go on to have sustained careers within the game and they have some great, young talent coming through with excellent people working here. “This all makes me feel very fortunate to be given this role and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
  10. That's what I heard but Ross has pulled out
  11. and a decent save in the 1st half. Probably more saves in 1 game than |Kelly has made in the last 4 or 5..
  12. You also forgot one of those saved us from relegation through the playoffs the last time as well.......
  13. The confusion arose though because there was no confirmation of a concussion sub being used, even BBC text only had it down as an injury when Hayes was subbed. So unless we had access to the game, there was no way to tell. Then you add the ability of our club to muck things up, anything is possible.
  14. Yea, just checked on that, looks to be correct. Phew!!
  15. BBC showing 6, Lamie does show as subbed due to an injury but doesn't say a head knock
  16. Please say you mistyped, only allowed 5, unless there's been a head knock
  17. Raith have come back from a goal down to lead Arbroath 2-1... think we'll struggle next week
  18. No faith in that lineup, I am hoping it's injuries that have dictated the defence line up and not the tombola machine. Would still have had McKinstry and Crankshaw starting though
  19. Alan Burrows @Alan_Burrows · 1m Announcements for tonight are done folks (so you can head to bed), but we’ve got a bit more to do, which, all going well, will come tomorrow.
  20. Apparently we are even thinking about swapsies for the keeper position
  21. Confirmed on a permanent deal for the rest of the season, this was a free transfer https://www.motherwellfc.co.uk/2023/01/31/jack-aitchison-joins-from-barnsley/
  22. He was the next big thing to come through Celtic's academy when he scored against us on his debut and first touch against us in 2016 in some heavy rout we took. He was 16 at the time Currently at Barnsley but been loaned out to Stevenage abd Forest Green the last couple of seasons
