Well going by what he says on the official site and in the Daily Express this morning he is preparing for being here next season. In the Daily Express he is quoted as saying that he is trying to get things moving quickly in terms of signings for the new season and will also look at getting players in on loan from bigger clubs as a possibility to help us progress in the Europa League. None of that to me says that he has made his mind up to leave. (However I have been wrong in the past)

Looking at the Aberdeen boards, somebody has posted that Yogi will be their new boss while others have posted Craig Robertson who will be mentored by Willie Miller.

Just taken a look at the some of the Celtic Forums. A lot don't want McGhee or anoter name mentioned is Levien anywhere near the place as it lacks of ambition. They are happy with Owen Coyle (going as far to say that the Messiah is coming) but a lot spouting for Mowbray or Moyes as well. Some bigger names being mentiond as well. Looks like it could be an interesting few days.

Is Owen Coyle going to turn down the chance to manage in the EPL though?

I've seen posts in a few different places suggesting that Jim Jeffries and Billy Brown have already spoke to Willie Miller. So it may not be as clear cut as it suggests. However to temper that, another post elsewhere suggests that MM and WM met in a bar in Aberdeen last night.

At this minute in time I dread to think what our squad will be like. If McGhee stays then hopefully we'll see some of these players he has been looking at signing up. If he goes then the new manager has to start all over again and if he only has a couple of weeks to identify and sign plays for the Europa League qualifiers then we could be in serious trouble next season. Lets take Lee Beevers which was supposedly just about a done deal. What happens if he signs and the new manager doesn't rate him ie Simon Mensing OR the deal isn't done and MM wants him for Aberdeen? Or he was only moving to us because of McGhee? Too many scenarios at the minute that would need to be looked at. I will garauntee though that Hughes and possibly Buzz will follow him to Aberdeen if that's where he ends up. Stay Mark and show us what you have been working on for next season. For the last couple of months we have seen you commiting yourself to us next season and how you have been focussing on getting players in. With our new picth we can get back to playing football the way it should be played and the way McGhee likes to play it. I dread to think what sort of football we'd see if it was Bobby Williamson or any of the other usual suspects that we could be linked with.

It was a needless yellow card, especially when he had only had a talking to minutes before it but it could've been a lot worse. Not long after his booking he almost hauled a guy down outside the box with his arms around him. I think if the ref had to call for a free kick he may well have been off but the ball broke to a Killie player and play went on. That gave the ref a way out of not having to reach for his pocket. I think any other game during the season he may well have walked for two silly and needless bookings. Then everybody on here would've been on criticising him for his stupidness. I don't think yesterday was just down to the defence, alot of our players looked like they had their suitcases packed and sitting in the changing room. If yesterdays game had been away from Fir Park I wonder how many of them would've took McGhee's offer to finish up last week.

You do realise the irony is that we'll be accussed of cheating if we do pip St Mirren to the Fair Play spot.

I had 3 tickets on me that day as I'd arranged to get them for a couple of our Canadian exiles. I got offered £500 for one and then got a shout from a guy in a car asking to buy my ticket. When I replied he couldn't afford it, he offered me his car plus what was in his pocket. I replied that his rust bucket and the bru cheque still wasn't enough. He drove off with a right sulk. Wonder what he was like at the end of the day.

Funny enough neither do I. On a coincidental note my throat is as sore today as it was the day I took them.

Express yesterday reported he's been offered a 12 month deal.

Express reports that McLean has been offered a 12 month deal. Also goes on to say that McGhee expects the following to leave despite still being in talks: Buzz - Hibs Hughes - Rangers, Hearts, Forest & Derby Klimpl - Plymouth All clubs mentioned are reported to be interested in the individual players. Malcolm is set to move to Queensland Roar as has been said here before.

One last game at lower prices isn't going to affect the ticket difference too much at this stage of the season. However, we don't want just any old Tom, Dick or Hairy turning up as they may just take it in their hands to invade the park and lose us the Fair Play Spot. So yeah, reduce the prices but not to low.

Everyone is going on about Fraser being here next season. That may not be the case. Apparently Tel is trying to get him to change his mind as pre contract agreements aren't legally binding. We could be yet on the lookout for 2 keepers. If that's the case Brown should definitely get a shout.

Game of the Season: for the unexpected result, it has to be Dundee Utd. Wasn't at the game but like above was probably the most engrossed I have been listening to any of our games this season. Goal of the Season: We should probably have more to chose from but Suttons stands out a mile. Player of the Year: No competition for this one but for me it's Clarky. He has been a rock for the club and has done Phil proud this season. His work rate and effort has been first class. Well Done on the goal count as well. Worst Player: I could say Malcolm but the fact he managed to score with his nads' just inches him above .......... like hell it does. For the money he'll be on, it's been a pure waste. Should've been one of the players that stood out this season, especially in Europe with experience from the Old Firm and EPL but looked lost all the time, especially the return leg. Young Player: Agree that Jim O'Brien has matured and done better since his debut and just wish that we'd seen more of Murphy this season. Reynolds hasn't had the best of seasons but most of his "glaring" errors have come when Crags wasn't beside him. He's still a young lad and needing guidance. On the basis that no-one else from the youngsters has made it through this season then Jim takes it. Best Moment: Walking into Fir Park for the return leg with my oldest to watch the 'Well play European Football. Hopefully next season I'll have both of them with me. Worst Moment: Hamilton winning at Fir Park in the League Cup. Memhet scoring St Mirrens winner in the Cup. Watching Bob Malcolm make two crazy decisions which led to the 2 goals Nancy scored at Fir Park. Sorry couldn't decide which one was worse. Surprise of the Year: Was down to Mark McGhee not getting on that plane to meet Romanov. The stick he took from our support at times last season was laughable. This season he has taken some as well but a little of it may be deserved but if those team line ups\formations had worked he'd be a genius in our eyes now. Overall: Failed to meet my expectations of the top 6 with a sloppy display against St Mirren. This game summed up our season, we cracked at the big games. Getting ourselves into that position from bottom of the table at Christmas though goes along way to show we still have the players there to do well next season. 6/10 (An extra point given for the Euro Nights) Expectations for Next Season: Looking forward to seeing us play on a new pitch with new USH installed. European Football again (fingers crossed). Klimpl signed and no Big Bad Boab in sight.

Going by the paper reports last week, the lads were giving that option but all of them want to see the season out. As I said though, newspaper reports!!

I think the main concern here is the injuries Stretch has had since arriving at 'Well. We could offer him a deal and he could be outstanding or he could just as easily pick up another long term injury. McGhee is the one here that has to take the gamble and if he chooses to re-sign him and he does get injured there'll be folk on here complaining about the waste of a wage. If we don't re-sign him and he helps Inverness to the top 6 next season in the final minute against us there'll be folk that will be on his back for letting him go. Personal I'd offer him a fairly basic wage, topped up with appearance fee, but he's a young lad and may not see that as being a viable option.
