  1. If it is on those grounds then we could be out the picture, as we're not really seen as darlings I don't think.
  2. I'd prefer to go to a country with proper lavvies.
  3. Beautiful bit of internationalism/geography there. Nancy was a gas. It was us in Europe after bad things had hurt us. And we enjoyed it, score irrelevant. I've been away to airts and pairts with Scotland and I'd say for me, being away with the Well, the only time I've had that privilege, was even better.
  4. If this does happen, I'm well up for it. Kazakhstan might be a bit hairy though. Not just the birds top lips either.
  5. Stepping over a pile of sick into one of the posh cafe bars in Place Stanislas.
  6. Excellent news and congratulations to them both. Mon The Wee Scots (lassies).
  7. "Hoors", "Poofs" and "Junkies" are three good words.
  8. Great incentive to get along. Not sure if I can, prior engagement, although I'm considering sneaking out...

"And the same with the Nancy game, having their logo pulled off the shirt for French legal reasons caused their noses to be put out." To be frank though, if their marketing people didn't realise that they wouldn't be able to advertise in UEFA, then they probably aren't the sharpest. It isn't anything new.

Can I buy Y-Fronts with a claret hoop from any high street retailers? What is the club stance on that?

So just to sum up for all the latecomers: Tits and Arses = Okay Sports Logos = Nasty Copyight not Okayness
  12. I can get more of a laugh for 18 notes. I'm there out of support and the fact is that is milked.

Surely just do the mock ups without the logos then? Or use some other text where the logo would be. That way they can't later end up on some other site or in emails as being the new kit. Get the fan artwork up there. Been a 'tradition' of that on this forum.
  14. Just not true man, sorry. Know this because the last company I worked for had a division which hoped to sell Digital Projectors to cinemas - basically because the monopoly on actual film reels (yes, they still use analogue film, mostly, except iMax) means that they have great big overheads. Also you've got all the power to keep the place running, heated, wage bill (admittedly not like a fitba team). The clubs are pretending to be in the entertainment game, you see it in quotes before/after matches - "promises to be a great afternoon of entertainment" etc. If you are in that game, look around. Folks with kids can do more involved, family activities for less. I could write you a list of them. I personally like going, although a some of the time it is only because it means I get to catch up with pals. I'm not bothered by the actual quality of game (although, obviously a dire game is not good) but the price just doesn't make sense to me, as a paying punter. I see a cabal of clubs saying - this is the gate price this season for home, this it for away. No budging, no listening to the economics of the paying public. £18 for a stand with water pishing through the roof into buckets? H&S about the lads standing up, but the best part of twenty notes to sit in a byre?
  15. The cinema, or other leisure activity argument does hold water. Wrote a piece some time ago about it for MJ. Basically, you've got the highheidyins selling football to 'customers', like it is an entertainment and they aren't remotely providing anything like the service. Two for crazy golf, game of ten pin still came in at less than a single admission to the East Stand.
  16. Sorry Pie, but I was there and although we enjoyed the game, I do have a gripe. A general one; the price. £18 to get in? Football is just too expensive for what you get.

Voted for Buzz. Didn't think he could do a lot about what was an outstanding strike from Maguire. Thought apart from that he was having a decent game. (Granted he wasn't really all that busy though...)
  18. Pitch was so waterlogged I half-expected to see a couple of Black Hawk helicopters fly in close formation over it, with explosions and either "Ride of the Valkyries" or "Paint it Black" blasting out the tannoy.

  20. I have many wise predictions so fear not. In fact, I'm still waiting for the royalties for Velcro.
  21. They shag sheep. We play fitba. Here endeth the lesson.

I also think we should get cudgels when playing the OF, but I don't know what colour they should be.

there have been times in the past I\'ve seen the idea of the petrol blue kit as an away kit discussed on here, with mockups. Would be smashing. Personally I\'d like it with a C&A two striped sash going right round the back too, with badge in the sash, something like the old Roma tops. Maybe a wee Saltire on the other side. Can anyone mock that up? edit - I\'ll try Skydrive and Paint. My Pic on Skydrive, because linking to it as an image doesn't work.
