That was MUCH better!
-
Anyone else worried that Pa and Erchie might get poached - I thought they were signed up for us?
-
Jenno playing well I think
-
His Feet were onside if that makes a difference!
-
AT LEAST 2 Centre halfs and a RB needed in the summer.
-
We are going to get ripped a new arsehole here. 5-0 Rangers. Easy.
-
We speculated at the time that those points that were CHEATED off us may cost us. I can't believe they actually will!!
-
I wouldn't rule it out...
-
This could be another cricket score - for one team only mind you. What's the mental mathematical swing that could put us 6th...?
-
too easy. FAR too easy
-
shite!! Not all over, although you might start question United's willingness...
-
We cannae win. A Scottish fitba match that is 0-0 is boring to watch with inept Strikers and clack of creative flair. 12 goals, unbelievable drama and one of the best goals in EUROPE this season and we are pub league? Hibbee Journo
-
Signed. Always wanted him to do well - seems an honest big bloke (plus we signed him for 3 years...) Tell you what - he fair land a backpost heeeeeder!! Surely most of his goals have been with his coupon? Better than Ports was in the air.... Dunno - controversial perhaps. All the more need to replace JOB and get a winger in to feed big Sutts all game long!
-
Aye but we can't use the 'official' badge on here mate on mock strips - sure the club (and the site) get shit for it.
-
Seriously? Bands don't ask you to go every two weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also how can you compare the two when you pay for a football match and are told to sit down on a plastic seat whereas: You can drink alcohol at a gig. You can go out for a smoke. You can stand up. It lasts more than 90 minutes You are GUARENTEED to hear your heroes perform well. And you are justifying SPL pricing because 'bands do it'

I actually think that quote is more profound than he meant it to be! A huge part of the madness celebrations was dwon to the fact that we were so utterly ashamed of ourselves on live TV - got humped rotten - beat - battered and then made up for it by being utterly brilliant in the same game!! This was miracle stuff - the stuff you dream about in yer head when we are getting beat like that and don't even tell yer pals next to you what you are thinking!! This game - more than any other, Cup Finals, Euro games EVEN 'Skippy Sunday' has put Motherwell F.C. on the map. The You Tube videos will go viral - if 200,000 (for a Motherwell FC Video) isn't already. This is world-wide stuff. Sports fans from EVERYWHERE love a story like this - 6-6 in a game of football would be enough, Any 4-goal comeback would be enough, coming back from 6-2 down would be enough - to do it with the best goal in Britain this year would be enough - and to to that in 93 minutes - WTF!!!! This is mental!! Motherwell F.C. - I can't get enough!!!
-
Eh why? Show me another 'Well player that will have the balls (and skill) to run at a Rangers defence at Ibrox. It may be his last ever game at Ibrox and seeing as we all know where Jim's 'allegiencies' lie in that regard he will be all over it! Seriously, some people need to see the bigger picture when players WHO HAVE HONOURED their contract decide to leave. Most creative/skillful midfielder BY A MILE and you don't want him to play in a game that could get us European football - and hundreds of thousands of pounds!!
-
Which is the complete reverse of how our night went. An utter embarrassment of a shambles - redfaced that we were on SKY and had a big crowd in to gaga dreamland, sheer off wur tits ecstacy and wanting the whole world to see us!! Motherwell F.C. The quip 'Rollercoaster' couldn't be more true!!
-
I was getting auld wummen that haven't even heard of the SPL to watch the highlights on BBC website, with me jumping around my desk going - 'watch this, watch this.......'
-
The big man is quality! Good 10 minute interview with him on Talksport - nver heard so much about Motherwell on that station ever!! He only had good things to say about Motherwell and Scotland. You have to say - what an attitude he has. I hope nothing but good things for him in the game - England (or Poland) caps, the lot - after signing for the 'Well and being sold to Bayern Munich for £6,000,000 of course!! Get him bought JB!!!! BTW - Best goal ever for the 'Well ? - is for me - hands down - technique but especially the context!
-
Firstly - I would like someone to point out to me near 8000 EMPTY seats last night!! Secondly - how on earth can you say that increasing the gate from the last game by over 50% (FIFTY PERCENT!!) is a fail?? How can getting THAT MANY extra on a WEDNESDAY NIGHT for a LIVE GAME be a fail? A figure around 6000 is our ceiling - the crowd we could and should be aiming for week in week out. Hell we had 3000 odds at a recent game - securing 5000 on a regular basis would be a success!!

Absolutely a no brainer. Granted there will be families who move into the area who are 'cast iron' Old Firm 'fans' (even some of them can be converted though - esp with young families - I was one for a start) but alot will fancy a new leisure pursuit to get involved in with their families - in time these kids - and the parents become 'well fans - if not fully fledged die hards perhaps 5 or 6 a season people - THESE are the punters we need to attract. And after their 5 or 6 games hit them with Season Ticket deals (like the free kids just now - fair play). Put it this way - who on here would move to a new area - Blackburn, Wigan, Southampton - wherever and not even think about going along to a free match, or a discounted one at the local team? - You are still a 'Well fan - of course you are but after time away you can easily get involved in another team. All this needs to be part of a bigger picture - From lower prices, STs to simply advertising the Club's next home game in Motherwell ffs!!
-
This is the 'Bradford Scheme' i'm always banging on about. They looked at their income from shite attendances paying through the roof in an empty stadium and got folk to 'sign up'. They only tried to get the same (perhaps a bit less even) ST income fro morew punters and adjusted the price accordingly. Ended up with double the fans paying half the price = same income. Not rocket Science!! More punters = Larger matchday market = more matchday revenue. Simples. Oh - and about the billboards - cracks me up!! It's a TENNER to get in tommorow - who knows about it? The people going anyway and their pal if we are lucky! Even Falkirk have a 'Next Match' bilboard outside their ground. Why can't we pay to stick 4 or 5 up around the main arterial roads into Motherwell?
-
I posted this in the ST thread but - yes we are actually missing an opportunity here with the recession by not being the first to slash prices - on the gate and on ST - families, adults, students all still need ways to spend their leisure time and by offering VAST reductions on football, well watching the 'Well COULD become a leisure pursuit of many old and new. However, let's have it right - an average of £310 a Season Ticket (or £294 paying early) is still FAR too expensive in this climate for sub-standard SPL football. Why are we sticking our head in the sand here? This was the time of all times to take a punt with the Season Tickets and get the price way down, market the Season Ticket as a real bargain and get the numbers up. At £294 average - if we get 18 homes and no cup games it is £16.30 a game - hardly a bargain!! Assuming there will be at least one 'pennies' game (like Hibs) and one 'Friend for Free, BOGOF' etc.. throughout the season and considering most miss one or two it is practically cheaper to not get a season ticket. Fairplay to those who sign up every year but the powers won't get the message. And if the standard £18 entry goes up (chances are if ST's effectively are going up) then it will end up being a smattering of diehard ST holders only at games with a few extra weans. Sub 4000 crowds next year? - absolutely

I was up at the game at Brechin City yesterday to see the Binos win the league!! Page has had a great season for the Binos and now has a league winners medal. He was solid - the Stirling Fans love him too! Was immense at the end - 1-1 with City having all the pressure (Binos needed to Draw or better) and then there was a serios pitch invasion from the 1000 or so Stirling fans. All the players hugging the fans and going mental - I high fived Page - no big tens though! Tenner to get in, you can stand with your mates and move around the ground all you want - that is what it is all about!
