Quality Not renewing myself. Untill Motherwell take the bull by the horns and start becoming the market leader in value for money football we keep calling ourselves I will be picking and chosing my games. An SPL game against some absoulte dross like Kilmarnock, St Mirren or Inverness is WORTH at MOST £10. I don't know about you but I like to pay the percieved value for things with my hard-earned. I am still convinced if Motherwell brought Season Tickets RIGHT DOWN we would see an increase in attendances (obviously) but matchday income too. £199 for a season ticket - less if more people sign up - you know it makes sense MFC Untill then - I will be seeing FP 6 or 7 times next year the same as this season
-
Correct. Never ever ever will the SPL do that to them. Every one else but not the OF - imagine the radio phone ins if Celtic got one less home game than Rangers? imagine the cires of agenda and even religious accusations?- what they fail to realise is that they are just two clubs like Motherwell getting less home games than Aberdeen - do we assume the SPL have some sort of pro-Aberdeen/mutton agenda? No and that really is absurd as what WOULD happen should the SPL be 'unfair' to one Old Firm team. Idiots.
-
That's a pretty small thing to be moaning about considering our issues!
-
Will still be more than Celtic will Sell - And that will be a fact!!

How about 30 games then playoffs for another 6 points by teams beside each other in the table. So ASSUMING Rangers and Celtic finish 1st and second with say Rangers 4 points ahead the last two games are Rangers V Celtic for 3 points/ 1 point each draw as normal and then Celtic v Rangers for 3 points/1 point each as normal. The Old Firm get their games against each other and the TV companies would LOVE the showcase style of the games. Then you go down the table - 3rd v 4th home/away for points to battle who gets into Europe and all the way down to 16th v 15th for 6 points to battle relegation. This way everyone gets 15 home and 15 away to everyone and Rivals for league places get one home and one away for an end of season 'playoff' which at certain areas in the table could provide seriously interesting games! I am making this up as I go along and have honestly just thought of it but fuck me I think it is the dugs danglies! Thoughts?

Done a bit of a cut and paste job from Fatcalfs - hope that is alright MJ? To whom it may concern I have no doubt I won't be the only Motherwell fan contacting you after the release of the post-split fixtures to complain at such an unbelievably unfair set of fixtures handed to my team. Here are the particular anomalies: You have given us an uneven split of 18 home and 20 away games again. You have denied us a final game against one of the Old Firm which is considered normal and one of the alleged benefits of finishing in the top 6. Why ON EARTH don’t we have Celtic at home - is it REALLY to avoid upsetting a bigger 'establishment' of a club? - Of course it is!! You have denied us a Saturday home game which will deprive us further of much needed income in terms of attendance figures. TV money is no compensation for an empty stadium against another provincial club. You have given our rivals for the European places an advantage with this unequal set of matches which makes a mockery of the term 'competition.' Change the split to a proper league format please. 16 teams, 2 at home and 2 away - Save YOURSELVES this embarrassment and to be honest grueling task! Even the Swiss, who were the model we copied for this daft format I believe, have binned this idea. Yours faithfully Craig - Motherwell Fan who has paid over £900 in Season Tickets for a TWENTY game package.....

Well the State of the art indoor arena up in RC that we are getting to use has spectator seating for 2000 - so if attendances continue to go the way they are going we move in there wuite happily!

See when your nurses aren't looking mate, try and escape and then enroll yourself into the big school. In a couple of years you will be old enough to go there and after a wee while more you will be able to hold your own on an internet messageboard. Untill then we are all just going to keep pissing ourselves laughing.
-
Aye thanks to the wee wumman who gave me her voucher just as I whipped out a twenty at the gate The steward actually tried to deny me saying she couldn't give it to strangers . Think she replied something like 'He lives doon the road fae me - I have known him all his life!' Never seen her before in ma puff but thanks alot!!! Don't think the 'scheme' worked then

Do you think that the news of us appointing 'community coaches' is linked to this? A bid to sweeten up NLC so we get good use of the facilty perhaps?
-
Let me get this straight. You, a Season Ticket holder, many whom would label a 'Die Hard' supporter of a provincial football team, is MOANING and UNHAPPY about your club actively trying to push the club forward, increase the fanbase and get more people interested in the club which over time could bring money, better players, better football and success to the club. Seriously?
-
Aye and Naw. I'm pretty sure every one of us there yesterday knew at LEAST ONE person who was sitting in the house/car/shops/whereever genuinely interested in the 'Well result but with no inclination to go at all. That means there ARE 'Well 'fans' out there. Get them involved - not one game a season for a fiver and hope they will start spending half a shift's wages on 90 minutes of football thereafter but by using a bit of savvy with the season ticket prices. Get them way doon, market it right and we can add another 1500 on to the gate no bother. Oh and just let U14s walk straight into the ground for free for non OF games and nane of this charging them pish. It will add a few hundred on to the gate and safeguard the future of the club.

Magic - outa jail there.

Thing is, it was almost a stick on 0-0, 1-0 or 0-1. Why didn't I perm them at the bookies at about 7-1 a pop? SPL is shite the majority of the time ye have to admit it - this was ALWAYS going to be humming.
-
We got a game the night? Man, this is rare for me. I had no idea we were playing until I saw this thread. Just shows you what happens when you get out the habit of going to every game. Ah well, at least something to listen to on the radio - if it is on? Would be great to get 3 points here, surely do-able. St Mirren are fanny pad and we are due a result at that meccano set.
-
Looking forward to this now. Getting up to Perth early on the 0900 train to start the pre-match scooping with breakfast at my mates' who stays up there. Are others heading up early due to the travel etc..? Think the winners and losers we usually go to is the 508 or something - usually good in there early doors before the game. Oh aye, for the game - fuck it a nice 3-0 win to the 'Well!!
-
YAAS NINE games unbeaten - 1 goal conceded!! Craigy Broon

oh man, thought it was 2!!! Murphy tried to shoot in his socks by the sounds of it!! Edit - Hibs now drawing - sweet!!
-
You have to fancy us now with our defensive record this year - surely!!

Just watched it on Alba there and in light of Sutty's praise in the Rangers game I kind of 'Player Cam'd' him. He does some amount of Donkey work. Ok he will never be dribbling around players but he is integral to the gritty manner pivotal to Brown's immediate success - along with tough tackling midfielders like Las and Jenno. Also - at the whistle the players seemd proper delighted with the result - especially craggs and O' Brien who seem to be loving the 'Well again. Cheers Mr Brown!!
-
I'm enjoying the Alba coverage. Another Interview for Murphy getting the MOTM (aint he sweet ) and a Q&A thing with Reynolds was quality - some decent patter from him!!
-
Yaaaaaaaaas!! 1-0 Murphy!!

you might need the lates version of flash. I did and everything was fine. Just finished watching the half-time documentary with Granpaw Broon, and then a bit about the Edinburgh ICe Hockey team. Second half just starting - quite surreal!!
