An indication of the man-management and motivational skills that won him so many games with such average players all his career. Brown is the future - Year and 1/2 contract on Monday please Mr Boyle!!!

Gramps on radio now

Jesus! I actually forgot about him!!

As it stands we are on for not only our biggest win in the league this season (and for a while before that?) but the joint biggest win from any team in the SPL outwith the OF all season. It really has been a season of 1 - nils. Fair play to Jack and Victor for this result AWAY!!!

Granpaw Broon's 'Well Army!!!!!
-
2-0!! JOB!!
-
Craig Thomson the ref getting ABUSED by the commentators, quality!!
-
Forbes off. 'Speed Merchant' Humph on.
-
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSS!!!!!!!!! Jim O Brien!!!!! Booked though
-
Decent attendance - We used to always get more than Killie last few years - crowd would be 1000 less if it was at FP the day
-
Enjoy it mate, I'm having a glass of Barr's Red Cola - still awesome though!!
-
I don't think it could be!! If it was Falkirk or Killie at home then at least we get more 'Well fans at the game and are favourites for the win. ANY non SPL team home or away and we have are shooty in/have a good day out to somewhere different. Old Firm away and we get a decent gate to split. Along with ST Mirren away this is as bad as it could have got. BTW - how fucking spawny are Hibs!! Two byes into the quarters!!
-
Fucking DIRE!! IF we get past ICT the only good thing about this draw (especially if it is Killie) is it saves me £50 on a day out - boring, repetitive, horrible draw and I'm not involved.
-
Clearly a bonus of not playing we get to play Football Lottery either way!! Clearly alot of perms but here is what is 'left' Aberdeen Dundee United Hibernian St Mirren Dunfermline Athletic (under investigation - DAFC fielded inelligible player) Inverness CT/Motherwell Hamilton Accies/Rangers Morton/Celtic Raith Rovers/Airdrie United Forfar Athletic/St Johnstone Livingston/Dundee Albion Rovers/Stirling Albion Edinburgh City/Montrose Ross County/Inverurie Locos Ayr United/Brechin City Kilmarnock/Falkirk I have highlighted my prefered draws - if they were away - basically a cheeky day out on the sauce to somewhere different. Italics is the no-nos that give me the fear - generally due to repetition. I would take the Old Firm at home.

Aye, I THINK I'm near the back - don't really know what I look like from side-on and slightly blurry! I know the guy right in the middle of the three baw bags with their hands up, Steven someone.

Ticket Pricing In The Spl, Do You Get Value For Money?
Juan Kerse replied to 200511173's topic in Club Chat
That doesn't mean we get a good deal!! So if ticket prices were raised to £55 a game (and some people would still pay that ) but it was only £50 for a Conference game you would STILL point out that we get a good deal? Why can't you just hold a discussion on here without being a complete cock about it. Tell you what - next time go and post on some Yank Baseball board - save YOURSELF further embarrassment. -
Ticket Pricing In The Spl, Do You Get Value For Money?

Aye but I'm not chatting about a 'Boyle Special' of dropping it to a fiver and hoping to triple the gate or more. The fact is there is only X amount of people that will go to Fir PArk to watch Motherwell in an average SPL game - even if it was 50p to get in!! That X amount of people that don't normally go will head along when it is 'cheap'. The thing I'm suggesting that pshychologically 'cheap' could be just over a tenner and that we would prob get almost the same through the door at £13 as we would a fiver as the demand is limited but I maintain that £13 or £14 even is a sum that many will see as being just over a tenner and affordable. £18 is nearly a Twenty pund note and not affordable. Pshycological pricing has been used for years with your £9.99s and and £950s. I'm amazed it isn't used in football. -

I would agree with that. We need to be realistic - a fiver or a tenner won't pay the bills but if there is any sort of price that can increase demand but retain the gate income it has to be looked at. I don't think MFC and especially other SPL clubs have explored the equilibrium price to potential. For a start some mates of mine who go once or twice a season with me have said they would go most weeks for £15. The thing with pricing is it is pshycological. £22 (most away games) is a no no as it is a big purple plus change £20 is a decent bit of money out of your wallet every week £18 is pocket change back from said pshycological barrier of a score note. £15 though is as near to a tenner as it is a twenty! And even better £13 is pocket change over a measly ten spot. I'm telling you bringing the price down 15 - 30% will add on 15-30% in gate numbers. Even if it is shy of that there are still obvious benefits of getting more people involved in the match day habit as well as the net being cast wider for their friends and families in the future. One of the biggest follies of our time is football clubs happily allowing a seat to sit empty at a match when we know for a fact there is someone outside waving £15 at the club to sit in it. -

Ah, facetious as always Weeyin He did mention the Premier League in England in his post when mentioning top players. And bringing in the cost of football anywhere in England is rather like for like with the SPL as the whole of Britain is vastly overcharging fans. And it does seem to be this old island alone in that respect. You of all people know you can get into a MLB regular season game for 10 bucks. Additionally a Bundasliga game for 12 Euros etc.. -
The wee c**t (as you so eloquently put it) will be earning more per year than any of us on this site ever will if he moves to Celtic. The 'Daft' laddie also gets to kick a ball around every day for the team he supports with players that were likely his heroes 2 years ago!! My God, people that get so upset and angry to near boiling point when a football player (a teenage boy at that) leaves one football club for another is surely completely subordinate!!! It is ridiculous!!

..and the leaking roof, the inch deep puddles INSIDE, the mouldy seats you are MADE to sit on, the chronic 1 way in/out access etc.. I would love a rebuilt east and Main stands - both similar height - like mini Tynecastle stands. Fact is to raise cash we would prob need to sell the ground and move to a livi style ground in some sort of sponsorship or partnership deal with the coonsil. Fine by me though!

Wee neds!!!???? One of the guys near enough leading the Nazi Salutes/Seig Heil/Paedophile trash was 55 if he was a day! Makes me proud, I want to be like him you know. Land Rover, Detatched house, Fascism, Mocking child abuse.......

..... Can we knock down the East Stand now

Great post! It certainly seems that many have long since signed up to the 'romanticism' of sitting in a rotting dump. Perhaps it is the love affair with the old terraces on which the moulding plastic seats and leaking roof are bolted onto but if nostalgia is the reason then perhaps it is advisable to note that it doesn't cost pocket change like it did in nineteen canteen. Anyone who can happily pay half a shift's wages due to romanticism of a few wet and rusting concrete steps is surely completely subordinate. Then again, I am as bad as anyone as I angrily pay that just to see my team - more fool me perhaps....
