Well for a start the Main definately needs work done to it EVERY summer. I think the East does too. So there are savings to be made by replacing/moving before we do anything. It won't be easy but money could be made by selling stand/stadium endorsement/sponsorship. Revenue streams can be built into new stands/stadium such a decent bar/offices/conference space/restaurant.corporate seats/boxes or whatever... ..but yea there does need to be some investment initially.

Fair enough - didn't come accross that way at all. I think to be honest the amount of people sticking up for the East Stand is falling each year. A new ground/stands is the only way forward.

Try not to be so patronising. I'm sure many would like a beer and a bit of Sky Sports at Half Time!! Sure, you might like the 'quirks' but the novelty will soon wear off. Its not like it has much of an atmosphere these days to make up for the fact it is a shitehole. I said I needed my tin-hat on!!

I have my tin-hat on here but this winter has seriously got me thinking about the East Stand. It has to go - very soon!! On Saturday there I saw an old guy fall on his puss on the stairs, the puddles on the 'concourse' had actual fish in them swimming about like fuck, there where FULL metal bins collecting water from the roof, 1 toilet was closed and the other sprayed pish on you from a burst pipe. You then take your 'seat' and it is manky, usually bent to fuck and you still get dripped on!! And they make US pay £18 to spend a couple of hours in there. Not only once you go up at Half Time you can't have a beer, the catring facilites are 2nd/3rd division standard. Clearly, this sounds like a right old moan and when I am blootered tommorow I won't give two shites but I went to the Newcastle game yesterday and paid just £7 more to get in than I do in the East Stand. The concourse was carpeted, with comfy seats for everyone to sit in at Half Time to eat their pie and drink a beer. You can sit and watch the Sky Sports on plasma tellies everywhere and did I mention you could drink Beer!! This wasn't even the Prawn Sandwhich munching seats. I couldn't believe that the East Stand is only £7 less!! Now, forget the Beer - not MFC's fault but a new stand that doesn't leak, with modern facilities, a decent councourse etc... It is surely a must to do this before it is shut down anyway!!!

Aye, but as someone has pointed out - they don't shut Princes Street shops and stop Old Grannies shopping if the pavements are icy so why the hell should they shut the football grounds and stop us going to the game. Game better be on - 12 O'Clock train, carry out in the fridge and Hip Flask already poured out - fucking beauty!!!

WTF? I had the weirdest day yesterday - on an all day sesh down in Newcastle and kept hearing reports of this. Was so pished completely forgot about it untill now!! To be honest I am giddy about the whole thing. We were well warnes by Stockport fans - the man's stubborn personality and ego will get in the way of the job. And Jay - you are spot on. He is playing younger players for the sake of it - to be 'renowned' for it. He can't lose in his eyes by playing 8 stone 17 year olds. Well he did lose. Cherrio!!

6-1 is NOT good enough. Time to stop playing skinny kids against the best teams in the country when there are seasoned pros in the squad left out Gannon!! Making a 'name' for yourself for playing weans isn't ideal when you get pumped twice in 7 days!!

This sounds fucking weird but the 'signing' that actually impressed me in terms of attracting him to Fir Park, Motherwell is Yassin. We don't get many U21 internationalists that played with Benzema to the SPL let alone Motherwell FC! Other than the fact he is shite, he has been a terrific signing.

The flag is not the best, no. Neither is it aesthetically pleasing or even funny but my God anyone actually offended by it has to be completely subordinate. At the end of the day it is a flag made up by 'Well fans. If they are 14 or 40 I am just delighted that they have the passion and desire to go to Fir Park when many of their mates will be sitting in the house in their Old Firm tops. I can see what you are saying but like it or not St Mirren are about the same level at us, have similar budget and similar standard of player and ar on as 'good' a run of form as us this season with perhaps even better results. They were at home this time and won by a few goals. If we beat them 3-0 at Fir Park would it be shock? That's why it has to just go down as a shitey result but not a catostrophic one. I would actually be more gutted at losing to Hearts at Saturday. Not a disaster and certainly not anything to be raging about - that's why being a 'Well fan is so great - things have to get really bad for us to be raging surely.

Exactly. A cup we have won once and only been to the final of three times in our long history is hardly diddy!! The old lanarkshire cup on the current renfrewshire cup that is practically won by the same team every year by only playing a few rounds is diddy - that's why the league cup is diddy to the old firm - not us though.
