  1. Amazing!! How much did we hear that!! And moreover, how MUCH is he saying that already at the sheeps!! Surprised they aren;t bieling. Excuses are out already. Hope he is an epic fail!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Immense today. Just immense. Not seen a standing ovation like JOB's today for ages, maybe years!!! Forbes looks like he will get a goal every game, so that's 38 goals sorted. And finally, I can't remember the last time I felt so desperate to see the next Motherwell game at the final whistle. Jim Gannon, your boys are looking tremendous!!!
  3. Aye, cos all I have heard in the last 4 games was boos, jeers and wanker signs aimed at Humphreys, Jennings and Murphy
  4. I've no been so excited on a Friday night about a run-of-the-mill league game at FP for ages!! Cannae wait! I know it is like us to fuck these chances up against fellow diddy teams at home but I have a niggling feeling we will win tommorow, maybe even by a few goals. 4-1 perhaps. Looking forward to seeing Forbes, Coke etc.. strut their stuff again anyway!! 'Mon the 'Well!!!
  5. This is baws. Where's the signing Gannon? Ye are a cock tease!!
  6. What about Jay Rodriguez from Burnley? Was farmed out to Stirling Albion 2 seasons ago and the Albion fans loved him. He only started two games in the Champ last year so can't see him featuring much in the Prem. Could he be the one
  7. Wasn't he from Lanarkshire? And I think having Man U will have an opposite effect from what you describe. Perhaps wee guys in Man U tops will think ' wow, Motherwell are playing Man U' and head along - at least getting them into FP. After that they might be back.
  8. One of those ones you really want to win, we should win and If we don't it will be a gutter. Will be tough though and would take a 1-0 right now. As long as Hutchy, Coke and Forbes are in the starting line up we have a chance. The rest of the positions we can gamble on as no-one is a certainty. With Aberdeen away and then the blue scum I think we HAVE to be winning this one and if we don't we will look back on it for weeks as a chance missed.
  9. SPL highlights on Sky Sports there, just half an hours worth. Been toying with getting ESPN for a couple of hours now but refusing to untill they put SPL highlights on. I actually liked the exposure we got on Setanta, Inside the SPL on a Friday before you went out was a decent way to spend an hour I thought, as was the full SPL. ESPN seem to be doing the bare minimum and charging us the same. No Old Firm games and a chance we wont see the 'Well on it at all as they only have 30 games. It is getting dingied.
  10. You not think a score is acceptable to watch the Old Firm in the East Stand? Remember if we want to milk the c***s for every penny we need to charge the South and the Cooper the same - but if you have a DC ST then you are fine. WWIW, I think a £20 to watch the Old Firm is fine - the games are always worth going to for atmosphere, excitement and we usually raise our game and get it right up the pricks! However, is it just me that thinks the price should be set at £15 for games agaisnt St Mirren, Falkirk etc.. This was what I thought the new standard price would be as it was the token price for the Euro games and workable - a tenner is too cheap as we would never get enough punters in. At £15 a few extra would head along and it is a fair price for SPL football.
  11. Aye, and that man will be Ross Forbes when we do the numbers next season
  12. Quite gutted we don't have a Striker in for the league starting. We are WAAAAAY short of what is required up front, having lost Clarky, Porter, Sheridan and Rosscoe and only got Sutton in in the last year or so. Thats is threadbare and it seems as if we aren't close to a Striker or it would have been surely rushed through for tommorow. Doubt we will see one in 'till 31 August if at all..

    Canterbury

Happy days. Hope the quality is better than home top - if it is will be purchasing a beauty!!! Looks cracking.
  14. Lazy Journalism of the highest order. Just 'cos big Mark Hately was a Striker prob. Anyway, I am very dissapointed to come back from Norway to find out we still don't have a Striker. If Clarkson was still here I would be wanting another body in up front, but giving the fact we sold our main man - he should have been the first to be replaced.
  15. The feeling amongst many, and I agree, is that we will come flying out the traps this season and quite possibly give both St Johnstone and Killie the pumpy in the first two games and go top of the league due to our tough/effective work out pre-season and promising new players who are quick and technical. Perhaps after a round and a half the SPL will have worked us out as basically just young/fast with no experience and our 6 tough games will catch up on us too. Additionally if we don't find another Striker we will struggle after a few games. The rest of the SPL has barely strengthened and on a one-off game Gannon's team could take last season's shitey Rangers team or a Celtic on an off day to the cleaners. |So, two outcomes this season: A. It IS Possible to get into the top 4 and/or League/Scottish cup run to the semis at least. B. Or we get found out early on and don't replace DC/Ports and we could struggle and languish in 9th/10th (there are worse than us - no need to worry abour the R word I reckon.)
  16. Could the receptionist find out what was on the menu?
  17. Indeed. It will be a costly mistake if we don't replace those goals. And if JG can;t identify one or even two Strikers to come in for nothing it will be one of Boyle's biggest follies to date for not giving him some money to do it.

    Ruddy

When was the last time we were raving (in fact any teams' fans) about a 'keeper who concedes 3 on his debut!! The guy must be immense!
  19. Aye, although the chronic cokney accent it's like, 'Massiff' Quality, Masiff from Mean Machine played for the 'Well!!!
  20. I'm sure JG said after Humphrey signed he would like 4 more signings and 4 loans in tae. We got 1 signing and 1 loan after that so 3 more signed up players should happen. Perhaps a loan or two aswell.
  21. My take on the game yesterday nad the Euro run. At 3-0 (should have been 6) there is still something to hope for of albeit, fairytale proportions. The positive we must harbour from this is that come St Johnstone and Killie after it we will be absolutely flying out of the traps. You couldn't rival the aerobic work out of Flamutari away, the physical work out of Steaua away and the technical sharpness and confidence of scoring 8 at home in a competitive match at home to Flamurtari. I seriously believe that these boys (let alone with 3/4 new faces) will absolutely thump St Johnstone and Killie in those first two games. Hey, we might win both 4-0 and be sitting top of the SPL. For those reasons and the fact we done our bit for the Co-Ef and got past the 'easy' rounds think the Euro experience will have been magnificent, nae - vital to our pre-season. And the rollercoster continues.
  22. We NEED, instantly. Dominant Centre half and a Right Back that can actually tackle. Both of these ideally over 21 with a bit of experience. And a Striker who can do something with the ball and not just run around and get in the way (sutty ). These 3 signings and that will be me (and most others) happy. Anything else is a bonus.
  23. Any news on a highlights package yet?? If there is no terestial highlights (there should be ffs), and I mean full highlight and analysis then I'll go the whole hog and get Sky/ESPN in. Pretty disgusting that it is almost the same price for half the games Setanta showed
