I like the big man. We aren't going to get a better (if any) 6 foot 2 Centre Half who has a very good head, decent tackle, good distribution and good on the ball and is reasonably pacey too. In fact, there is no way we could get a player as good as McLean on a Bosman - except Brian McLean if we let him go!!!

That is something I would love the club to do but I doubt they will have the bottle to punt any players. We need rid of dead wood and thise two (esp McGarry) have little to offer the team now. You are right too, get in about the Bosman list McGhee!!

The (sad) thing is I doubt we could do better than Sheridan, an Irish International with a deft finish on him, and I would rather have the big man in amongst the squad than be looking at a potential front two of Sutton and Murphy - IF the worst comes to the worst and DC gets snapped up.

Well when th club manager is on record saying it looks like we will be promoting from the youth ranks this time AND we KNOW the budget is getting spent elsewhere this summer it doesn't leave me with much confidence. Are you saying you are absoultely CERTAIN that we will bring in some quality signings like? I would like to know what you base that on if you do.

Looking forward to what exactly? A team without Hughes, Smith, Sheridan - perhaps Klimpl, Clarkson, McLean too all replaced with U19's who haven;t be near good enough for the bench for this season.... I want some of the pills you're on mate

I appreciate that we have Bottom Six/Top of Div 1 boys on our radar as these guys could come in and do really well but is it just me worrying that we aren;t casting the net a bit further?? I really believe we need some foreign influence in our team. As we seen in Europe last season the Scottish game is so very primitive I think we need another dimension. I'm obviously not thinking strapping Italian Centre Halfs and Brazillian Forwards but surely someone with something different - pace and skill for a start can come in and do a job!! We all see the influence our big Slovak has had, in addition to getting him signed I think another couple of foreign boys, perhaps in attacking positions could do our team no harm at all - and give us that edge, especially if we play in Europe ourselves again this year.

The other Clarky thread is closed so I will say this in here... ...DC is now the top SPL scorer outside the old firm And on Wed night, anyone who was there will tell you he lloked like a very capable and mature Striker on the park. It is really coming together for the lad, just hope he signs an extension soon or he could be offski!!

So, Clarky booked today (and it was a seriously daft challenge, all things considering) but that was it. Also, you would like to think that with St Mirren battling they would pick up some bookings, also with Hibs playing better players they might be sucked into tackles too. Man, this is scraping the barrell for a successful season aint it!!

That wiz magic today. Not enjoyed a game as much as that since, well a long time actually!! We played well, knocked it around easily although I though DC was aff his nut diving in the way he did to get booked . Scored tow good 'striker' goals now to, I think equal his best ever tally, with 3 ames to go. Now that 'relegation' is out the window and 7th is almost guarenteed too we should be taking it REALLY easy to get this UEFA place. However what would be funnier is if St Mirren got it, went down and missed out as no first division teasm are allowed!! Also, Klimpl loving the chatns in his warm up was quality!! He is signing on, nae danger.

FWIW 'Flow I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the countdown thinghy on the 'fishal. Looks really good. Our club is looking far more professional with these types of things, which I suppose was the premise of making the changes at the club on that side of things. Some folks will never stop moaning... ...Now if only the Season Ticket pricing/marketing manager got his finger out too...

Fuck me, 6 pages in two days - we really are excited aint we!! We should be too!! Summer holidays of following the 'Well around hopefully humping pishy wee teams full of fishermen and live goats, quality!! Whoever says this is a bad thing is aff their heid - ever been to a Fir Park friendly against [insert big but not quite big enough english team here]? Chronic! Plus, the club would get half decent crowds (even if at Broadwood - if priced right ) compared to friendlies and as long as we add a few faces to the squad the team would get a really good work out. It could all even end up in a 'Big' tie on TV etcc and all the money that would bring! Amazing stuff - the best is that teams like Hibs and Aberdeen will be spewing that they didn't behave like wee girls on the park and get into Europe Bring it on!!!

What's weird is if Hibs had been beat one more time, for example off St Mirren instead of getting a jammy draw, we could have been in the top 6 with 41 points, most likely got raped in every top six game and COULD have finished the SPL with the joint lowest points and worst goal difference... ...but finished in 6th place and stayed up!!!!
