Are You Planing To Renew Your Season Ticket ?
Juan Kerse replied to East_Stand_Al's topic in Club Chat
^ Tweed, I get all that but I am not asking the club to give them away. Our East Stand Tickets, when bought with the discount are actually cheaper than Wigan's but no-one knows about it!. Our DC tickets(our best product imo in terms of quality) are a bit dearer but what are they, with Discount..? £261, hardly a pricing tactic discussed in Marketing Lectures is it? And what is with the discount anyway? Straight choice between the kids' holiday or a Season Ticket. Why not goive people the chance to get the cheap price at the end of the summer. We should be offering installments, never mind a whole summer to pay in a recession ffs not making people pay before the BBQ coal has been purchased. It annoys me that there are people at the club in 'Marketing' Jobs but they can't see the benefit of newspapers, billboards, train adverts, hell even leaflets if above the line media gets vitoed, all bearing an affordable eye catching price, say £249 for the 'Cheapest Premier League Football in Scotland' (Actually Britain ). Seriously, is there something I am missing? Or is it that easy -
I think getting DC on a new three year contract would be the best piece of business we could do this summer. And it is probabally one of the few decent players we could get..... It makes sense McGhee, get talking to him...

I think we will win. BTW, what is the crack with tickets? Do we HAVE to get them at FP? Or can we get them at the ground on the saturday. Cheers

Are You Planing To Renew Your Season Ticket ?

On the whole, Scottish football is ridiculous. £20 to watch, what at times, you can see 22 guys do down yer pubby park. I paid 8 Euros to watch Roma v Villareal the talent that Totti, Cassano, Riquelme et al. give you for your money is nothing short of good value. I also paid 10 Dollars to watch SF Giants play at home, different sport but was entertained for 5 hours for about 7 quid!! The 'price' of scottish football should be on par with these examples, in fact LESS!! But it is three times more!! That is where the poor quality is evident, the fact we are paying for something that should be better... -

^^^^^ Exactly what we should be doing r.e. season ticket prices!! And we should be marketing it the same way as Wigan too, not shitey discounts if you trade in the kids holiday to disneyland to buy a season ticket before the summer. Our season tickets this year should be groundbreaking. Not 'frozen' at the ridiculous price for a game of poor quality football that it is. It is too expensive and even though I can prob afford it I will be saying no on those grounds. I dread to think of how many punters we will lose who simply can't afford one. -
That would be cheaper if we were to benefit from it for the next two or three decades but with the East Stand a shitehole begging to be ripped down ASAP then SURELY we should just bite the bullet and move to an Airdrie/Livi/St Mirren legoland of our own. You all KNOW it makes sense

Here here! It is clearly evident to anyone with at least one eye that our team lacks an awfull lot when he isn't playing. Drive, determination yada yada. But also, his first touch isn;t that of Paul Scholes but he is ALWAYS looking for the ball, more often than not in space he finds and is starting to really know how to score goals, especially 'striker' goals from inside the six yard box. Seriously, we would miss DC. Oh, and Flow, any word on a new contract for the fella , IIRC he is going into his last year

Couldn't be less bothered by that yesterday, shocking I know. I want Falkirk to stay up though, for lager reasons (mate's a Falkirk fan and we always get a good swally at the games) Equally though I will be bothered next week as, well I am going to go and we need to get a win soon to secure our place as 'Champions of the Bottom Six'!! P.S, did you know that the original split actually had two trophies, one for each of the 'Champions' of the two SPL 'leagues'. Aberdeen 'won' the bottom six and when they tried to give them the trophy they told the spl to get tae fuck!! Ehm... Bring it back!!
-
And? If even 10% of the so called 'Rangers' fans in the Lanarkshire area turned up at their Local ground on a Saturday we would have a sell out every week. I would rather punters with a leaning to an old firm team were taking up an empty plastic seat at Fir Park on a Saturday than fannying about in a rangers top down a public park....

Eh...? Because we have Hughes making them at the moment... I know you don't see many games but surely you know our entire playbook consists of the following: Klimpl gives the ball to Hughes and Hughes gives the ball to Hammell. When Hughes leaves Klimpl can do that awesome 8 yard pass himself. And Secondly, I never, no one actually has said we want a team full of grafters. That is a ridiculous statement. I would like, for a start some pace and skill on the left since we don't have any. I just don't really see what Hughes does, especially for his wage. When Hughes goes, I think Klimpl (assuming we get him) with Lasley in the middle would cover us better than Huges does (woefull defensively) in the middle, Las can ping a ball on his day anyway and we get an explosive, preferably foreign actual left winger and have a proper, not half arsed attempt at 4-4-2 next season.

The last home game is a game for most of the first team to be filled up with the U19's. We have seen this year with our 'best' prospect, Murphy, that he is not ready to play against grown men. He just hasn't cut the mustard. If we pitch these weans in against experienced professionals at the likes of Falkirk or St Mirren they will get slaughtered. Maybe one at a time but lets try ands get our first team a win or two eh? ON a more positive note, looking at the names listed I suddenly remembered the boy Paul Slane, he looked tremendous in pre season and even got a game at the start of the season, what happened to him?
-
I would agree with Ya Beezer above on this. We DON'T need Steph Hughes. We need runers in the team, exactly like a Dorman. Run, play one-two's and shoot. Yes Hughes 'puts the foot on the ball' which is nice to have to 'playmake' or whatever it used to be called. And to be honest though, for 99% of Hughes' passes (slip it out to a Hammell overlap) Klimpl could make them no problem, PLUS he gives us the dig. Two players in one, he has also scored as many goals in his half season that the 'Attacking' Hughes in a whole season. For that reason, if ANYONE is to be re-signed it should be Klimpl, we don't need Hughes.

Can I say it for about the 7th season in a row.... .....We still haven't had a left mid since Stuart Elliott......... Wonder if we will bring one in....

Here you, use this ---> ..To get aff yer high horse Who are you to say I am not a real fan if I don't pay the fat part of 60 notes to go to, say Inverness v Motherwell in a post split game!!! Lucky if 60 people make that trip, you saying Motherwell FC have just 60 real fans!!? And even the home games, I have paid my season ticket but unless I move to fir park street it is going to cost me money and time. A commitment for nothing in return. Absolutely nothing. Why do the players and manager that served up THAT today deserve that!! Away an' chase yerself.

Anyone changed there mind? -
Doubt we will be seeing the 'fiver' special ever again to be honest. There is just no 'fan base'. Population yes but no bugger that isn't a die-hard wants to pay any of his hard earned to watch that shite in that shite-hole. Football plays on 'anti-economics'. Low prices doesn't always increase demand (sufficently). High prices doesn't lower demand much either when the same 4000 idiots are now paying a score a game at FP when it was a tenner not more than a decade ago! Arsenal sell out at £65 a pop etc..
-
Tremndously summed up our manager mate!! You should put that on T-Shirts, half the East Stand would have bought them today!!!
-
Yes, actually. In fact I would personally love it if we went down!! As long as the risk of closure wasn't there then I owuld love trips to Airdrie, Kirkcaldy, Ayr etc.. Better crack than fucking Killie, Inverness and Falkirk etc... four times a season AGAIN. Plus we would have a chance of winning something to come back up!! Not at the wind up, would actually really like to drop down to the first division!! What are we ever going to achieve in this league, Europe once a decade to get pumped out in the first round each time!?
-
Yes, he should resign because he is a desperately arrogant man. One, for his stupid stupid mind games patter that puts us under pressure ALL the time and secondly because he so convinced with his, at times, mind boggling 'super' tactics that he refuses point blank to change them during a game. (5 defenders today (not including Klimpl), at home in the biggest game of the season, against St Mirren etc..) But also No, he should not resign or be shown the door as I am afraid we could not get anyone better. Meh
-
EXACTLY!! Big games - EVERY big game that fud McGhee mouths off utter pish to the press that just puts us under pressure. Boil, I hope you enjoyed that today. 2000+ 'NEW' fans in and you want them to buy a Season Ticket after THAT!! We fuck it up every time. Not good enough.
-
No probabally not. Definately not away games - £20 + petrol, food etc.. to watch that shite!!! Why bother with the home games either, 100 mile round trip, to watch that shite!? Boil has my money anyway he won't give a shit.

We must Win. We must play three strikers DC must play (and you know Sutty WILL score) That is all.

Are You Planing To Renew Your Season Ticket ?
Juan Kerse replied to East_Stand_Al's topic in Club Chat
See other thread (the Leann one) for details but a price freeze is not enough for me, the club should be offering groundbreaking season tickets in times like this so I doubt I will be renewing. -
Delighted and rather amazed at the Cooper decision. It will be great to get 'Well fans back in there but I hope we are still cute with the pricing of OF tickets to get as much out the scum as we can (I believe both ends need to be charged the same price so £25 for them would mean £25 for DCS regulars too...) Secondly the St Mirren game pricing is great news, should add a good couple of thousand onto the gate - nothing more mind you. It would have been great however to offer these 'extra' punters that will come along on Saturday some incentive to buy a Season Ticket next year as; and I'm afraid I am going to be unpopular at slating the club here, if the club think 'frozen' season ticket prices at £280 a skull, even with a miserly 10% discount is the way to get crowds up every week next season they are way, way off the mark imo. I am no Marketing Exec but surely a deal along the lines of 'ST's for £199 if you buy before the end of June would read well and be alot more affordable? The result? More arses on seats and cash in the till. The way it is going if the gate prices stay the same or even drop, and with a good few 'fiver' games over the course of the season to consider too a good few existing ST holders (myself included) may opt to pay at the gate next year. Now was the chance to be clever with our ST pricing to safeguard our club's future. A £280 outlay in the summer of the worst recession in decades is hardly clever. Tin hat on....
