Is that the deadline? Thought it was extended to Monday Midnight like last time, as weekends aren't 'business' days. Granted, we have a Game tommorow but Leitch I can take the team for that game surely?
-
Perhaps we are delaying the transfer news untill Teale arrives to paraded at FP Another point about Porter, it seems that he waived £25,000 that we owed him as part of the deal to get this move, so we didn't lose out on the lower fee.... Quality big chap!!!
-
Would be a fantastic piece of business this!! We are crying out for someone to beat a man, this is the type of signing McGhee said he would bring in - fair play!! Teale and A.N.Other striker (Killen on loan?) would do me!!
-
Is this 'fishal yet? Anyway - looks 99% certain so all the best big Chris. Will (I'm sure we all will) be looking out for your career, perhaps even on MOTD in a couple of seasons To echo what has been said. A great Number 9, model pro, and a gent to boot - will always remember that, I spose as he was English he was the 'spokesman' to the wider media , Sky Sports, Talksport etc.. during the Phil tragedy, like the day of it - and he handled it very well and spoke well of Phil and our club. Was brilliant from the big man.
-
Can't argue with that - like Ricky says it keeps the run going into our next home game agtainst Accies (although they aint too bad). With Sheep, United and Hearts all getting no points today it is a good point. Saying that, if I were at the game I bet I would be ragin' at a point.

First pen this season? Brilliant DC!! Never thought he would take them!!
-
Just me? Or was McGhee not quoted as saying he wanted to bring in 3/4 players this window to bulk up the squad? I'll give him Klimpl. technically a 'new' signing. The keeper doesn't count as the other loanee went out the door as he opened it. Now it looks as if we are onto plums unless Porter goes...

Aye, to be fair I don't think he has done much wrong when he has got a game. Decent touch and very good finish (See goal against celtic). Just the man to step in imo.

VERY decent effort mate!!! BIG plusses for me are > It is far away from the 'four concrete boxes' model. > Different even from livi's idea of basically just joining up the boxes > However still retains a compact look about it. >Two tiers featuring is a nice touch - bit of thought into the scale too! (Kalmaar's is 10 on top though - but I get your point!) Not sure about the only upper tier seating behind the goals tho - Accies stands look odd with no fans directly behind the action - with some clever architecture could the roof not swoop down behind the goals allowing for the single tier seating to be lower (perhaps still just raise a bit). Nice how you thought of different away fans - annoying as it is, the 'away' section of any new ground has to be a major consideration - if we do end up with something like your model or the grimsby model basically half a side stand has to have all the appropriate seperate exits/refreshments/toilets to allow for 4,000 Old Firm. Good stuff though mate!!

Would still like to know how the park is at this exact moment, after hours of sunshine on top of it - certainly won't be rock solid...
-
I'm in Stirling, not a million miles from Inverurie and the temps here were predicted exactly the same as Inverurie (actually colder) and yes, looked at my grass and surrounding fields at 8 this morning and they were solid. However, every inch of grass I have seen since 2 O'Clock would take a stud no problem... I am also firmly in the camp that they have been too hasty and the pitch will be fine, we couldn't have had more sunshine today to thaw the park out!!!

Been fannying around and found a wee video of Grimsby Town's new stadium. EXACTLY what we should be looking at in terms of getting away from the four boxes around a park tradition in Scottish Fitba' ground design. I like the corners filled in 'arena' style it has but also the fact that the Main stand is bigger and sort of 'curved' like a 'D' on it's side, this sets it apart from the more boring 'bowl' stadiums like Doncaster, Darlington, Leicester, Southampton ec, etc.. 12,000 seats and what we should hopefully be after when it's oor turn. Anyway, take a peak

Anybody got a spare ticket for the mora they are looking to shift? My mate fancies going now, could pay/collect up there. Cheers
-
Cheers Andy, appreciate the heads up.

Will there be a pitch inspection today btw?? Has been the day before last two times, anyone up there able to say how it is looking this morning??
-
Delighted to see him score in front of the home fans today. First since Celtic - which didn't really mean anything so basically first meaningful goal at home this season!! DC is quality, a true 'Well player who seems to have his feet firmly on the ground. I really hope he is in the claret and amber for many, many years to come, hopefully long enough to become an absolute club legend - and make his uncle very proud!! 'Mon the Clarky!!!
-
How come you slate Fitzy yet our 'main man - no 9' Chris Porter gets away with missing the EXACT SAME glaring chance at a more crucial point in the game? Got some agenda on Marc do ye? Anyway, If any1 had said to me before last Sat that we would have a 1-1 and a 4-0 over the two games I would have bitten your hand of, just the Motherwell way to get the scorelins in the opposite fixtures you figured they would....
-
Let's be honest.. There is NO chance the game will be on Monday night!! Not even in question!!! Wednesday has as little chance as well. The good thing is I can see it being postponed time and time again untill the Saturday of the next round
-
You would like to think after the United game that at home against, you could say ,lesser opposition we should just roll out an easy 2-0 victory. It is NEVER that easy though eh? I'm sure we would all have taken 4 points from United away and Falkirk at home so it makes me think we will do that, just not the way we thought and draw this game which will leave us on a bit of a downer... Hoping I am wrong and we should just go out and pump this mob, hoping DC scores in front of the home fans too, been a while.
-
That is quality!! Love seeing 'Well pictures/players from before my time. Especially the old FP, I know they are few and far between but anyone got old photies of FP, even really old FP before the main stand as I am trying to put something together?? Cheers
-
Put the dummy back in Andy!!! What would that achieve?? And we'd be ragin', Our Strikers are looking forward to this
-
^^ To be fair, KaKa could play for nothing for the rest of his life and still be able to by a Ferrari every other month!! 'Not in it for the money?' Not exactly a samaratin is he??
-
Did Setanta SEE the last Well/Killie game they screened!? Not moaning tho, good we have an away game on Setanta - we have been playing better recently too. Killie should really do something with the prices for this tho to boost the attendance.
-
Or the day after, it was fine then! Why the powers at be gave it a week and a half is beyond me!!! I feel for Locos really, I don't know if there will be the same home turnout (although I'm sure the 'buzz' will have faded anyway) but I can't see more than 50 odd 'Well fans getting up there if these call offs continue. Shame really.

I'm looking at it as the first time in ages we will have a proper reserve goalie, one who is not an old man nor 14 and foreign. As for the guy himself, I'm sure he was playing against Celtic at home, last season or the one before (possibly Scottish cup) and was absolutely outstanding!!!
