Indeed. From day 1 he had that sort of 'cult' potential I reckoned. Without getting carried away.. but his manner on the park after a win/goal coupled by his take-no-shit attitude and calm fitbaw is always the ingredients for a ledge..

Can't wait to wait to watch the highlights the night now!!! AMAZING result. Great for the midfield to be scoring AND very happy for Clarky to get a goal too, been needing one badly!! Fair play McGhee, comments before hand about catching Utd were a bit iffy I thought but it worked a treat!!! Bring on the top 6!!!
-
FUCKING YYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To be fair, I don't think he has been getting it tight for a while now. He has settled into his role and I think folk are starting to appreciate it. He would have loved the goal though!!
-
Brilliant!! Get in Fitzy!!!

Settle down sweetie, The guy is spot on, as soon as it is yer Rivals the price goes up. Especially when it is HEarts who spend 600K on eastern european shite every window!!

Fair enough, a hotel/conference centre etc.. would be great but there may be plans for them in place at the new R/C development (might be able to giet into a partnership venture right enough) However, like we say it's purpose is for football matches and a new stadium could do that a whole lot better than FP. We could have a proper big sports bar like Shearers at St James Park, with big screens/pool tables/two floors/away section that will be mobbed on matchdays but open for Champions league nights/internationals/random Jeff stelling soccer saturday sessions when the 'well are away. Add to this a bigger 'Well shop and other retail units that we get a cut from, a family burger bar or some shit too and we are bringing in unheard of income and punters aren't even through the turnstyles yet!! As for them, there will be more than one , easy access, perfect views, 21st century catering facilities, executive boxes yada yada. It really is the only way forward and even though we WILL end up with Livi's ground (always hoped not but we will), with the new houses and a chance to increase the fan base, bringing in new fans to the new stadium, exiled 'well fans back too with perhaps a first season MAJOR cut in ST prices I think we could be increasing attendances at the new place by at least 25% WITH sustained income as highlighted above. Just a matter of time...

Who whined about McCormack? Also, take a look at the Cardiff City messageboards, don't think you will find Motherwell fans on there STILL whinging that he left us after seeing out his contract . So dry eyes and get over it. Secondly Flow is spot on, Motherwell would jobby all over Oldham and any other pish your league serves up. This 'SPL' is pish patter you always hear is a get out argument as you are all jealous that wee teams like Motherwell can reach cup finals and play in Europe. Fact is, League one football is dire, I watch Harltepool and the football is elementary at best. Don't use inflated wages and crowds due to bigger populations as a yardstick because the football is disgusting and I can't believe thousands pay to watch it every week. Finally, you have just been owned.

How effing Jammy are Celtic? ALWAYS at home vs Diddy teams!! As for our draw, it has to be a good thing. A trip away to Brechin, say, would be good banter etc.. but now it's all about getting to Hampden! Could be looking the quarters straight in the eye with that draw!! Although, remember when we just had to beat a lower league team, think QOS and we were guarenteed Ayr or something in the next round and easystreet to the quarters before....

Get a grip of yourself mate!! So what if Chris Porter left you for nowt. He signed whatever deal he had at Oldham and it expired - THAT WAS THE DEAL! He ended up in a better league in a bigger shop window, he is seeing out his 2 year deal with us (THAT WAS THE DEAL) and will very likely move another step up to a decent Championship side. Neither at us or Oldham has CP came out and asked to move away/spout piss to the press about leaving and end up in the huff and playing poorly - behaviour all to common these days!!

No pens after the end of ET in them days? Was the Arbroath 'fiasco' around ten years ago not even worse with regards to attempts to play it? Remember the first game at Gayfield called off on account of a hurricane after we were 1-0 up (Townsley IIRC!, although I think the official scorer went down as W. Ind) Then there were postponements before we eventually drew with them up there and brought it back to FP!! Crazy stuff!

Bielin'!! Was very much looking forward to the whole day out affair, no chance I'm sitting in and watching saturday kitchen or some total shite wi' her, so... ....I'm still goin'!! Megabus (and carry oot) booked and paid for anyway and can't get a refund (i asked ) so taking that to Aberdeen, and if Peterheid's game is still on going to that, if that's off it will be an all dayer, pints and coupons et al, in the granite city!!
-
Was between him and O'Brien for me. Tell you what tho, The Klump loves a goal and a win, he is always over the moon!! Good to see!!
-
That is a BAD move imo. DC needs this game with a big chance of a goal or three to get his confidence up. Been playing OK but you can see he is itching to score and I reckon he will be RAGIN at being left out. Only my opinion aw the same..
-
Great wee win last night. I thought some of the football we tried to pull off was very encouraging. Combine last night with actually shooting and we can put 8 past Inverurie no bother.
-
Whit!! I'm buzzin' like a broken fridge!! 4 hour bus journey to get seshed. Day oot in a random wee toon. Watch Motherwell in a tiny wee park with the potential to score half a dozen goals!!! Nothing to dread there!!! Although - I am getting less confident the game will go ahead, however the first two points above will just heve to do!!
-
I have no official answer mate but I can recall a pitch inspection BEFORE 3.30 in the past for an evening game, not sure which, as I found out at work and I finish @ 3.30!! So you might be in luck and not have to travel far/if at all.

Looking at all the forecasts, if the actual weather turns out that way, this game will be on I reckon. 6/7 degrees celsius over Thursday/Friday/Friday night followed by 9 Degrees on Sat itself is enough. If it goes that way that is... Otherwise will just have to spend all day in Aberdeen (Hey where's the Scooping Smiley gone?)
-
I really can't see why Porter would be a target for Hearts, I mean he is British!! As for Porter himself, I htink he would go there in a heartbeat despite the madness at the club, would take 300K in January but not a penny less.
-
Will the Dome hold up? Very pessimistic but I can't see the game being on, the previous game was called off at 5 Degrees!! Tonight is Minus 1 and Tommorow only 2!
-
Aye, seen this thaw in the forecasts myself. Spent £60 on transport so would be gutted if it is off! Up to 6 Degrees on Friday and 5 Degrees Friday night, should be OK!
-
Quality! Hope we get the finger oot and get up to fourth, I can make the trip this time!! Hope we don't win the Scottish Cup, I would miss it

Assuming he is over 6ft he sounds what we are after, and McGhee is on record saying he likes a big 'scandanavian type' defender. Although, I guess Reynolds isn't in the managers first team plans, at least at centre half with say the Norwiegan, Klimpl, Craigan and Boab to an extent all big guys for the position. Would like to see Reynolds at LB though.
