Good post Orinocco ^ You are absolutely right, If another window opens and shuts without a commanding Centre half coming in along with a 'Keeper and a bit of flair to add to our midfield/attack we are almost accepting relegation and doing NOTHING about it.

Pretty sure MOST of our first teamers are on £800 PW - £1500 PW and that is generally our maximum. Special Requests can be made for 'Outstanding Calibre' of players that comes from JB's pocket - AFAIK both Porter and Hughes are on £4000 PW, again though the majority of that is from JB's back burner. ( ) If we sign some random foreign frees the most i reckon we will be offering is £1200 a week, which in the grand scheme of the world is pretty much a very solid wage, around £60K a year- in football terms though this is shite.

Is anyone else missing out on a ticket that desperately wants to go? I was under the impresson that everyone who wants to go has one?

Mate , I know league 1 has been compared to SPL standard of team and player in the past but that is completely wrong. Yes they earn the same and crowds are similar but man for man the players are of a lesser standard and the football is DIRE. If we can add this big english boy in at the back then fair enough, I like a Birtish/Scottish spine to a team as much as the next man, but in order for us to offer a wee bit of something different we need to look abroad and bring in some flair and skill from somewhere else. Look at us in the UEFA, our football here is so primitive and we were crying out for some foreign flair to match Nancy's technical prowess. We need to add a couple of boys from either Portugal, Peru or Paraguay, wherever, just to give us an edge that we are seriously lacking.

Sounds like he could be 'our Rob Jones'. Exactly what we need, and being a middy in his day he might be able to play the ball anaw. If that is the case then definately get him in.

I would take ANY price we can get for Porter in Jan. Sutton can do the job in the middle of a front three and I'd use the cash and wage to bring in the nippiest/fastest winger/forward we can get.

This boy is bearing the brunt of our frustration. I have seen enough to suggest he could be a winner for us - especially in a relegation scrap, he is exactly that a scrapper. I am seeing much less questions asked about goldenboy 'Marky Reynolds' after one of the WORST seasons from anyone ever than this guy is getting after TWO games. Mark Reynolds is DIRE at centre half and should be the first to the bench when el captian comes back.

So, who will be buying an Irn Bru First Division season ticket then? It would be cheaper and we get to go to new places on away days-the SPL is chronicly bad too! In all seriousness the board should be petrified with the findings of this petty poll. The best players in word assosiation football are fast, strong and good on the ball. We can't and will never afford or attract a single player who has all three. What we can do, however, is attempt to bring in three guys, all with one of the above attributes each. > An absolute monster of a Centre Half is still required. > Someone with lighteneing speed who doesn't need to be terrible gifted on the ball (doesn't take much to get past SPL defenders) is required for that winger/inside left role and > Someone with a bit of talent either in the middle of the park to push on in a box to box role or up front himself creating and scoring. I firmly believe, if we cast the net wide enough, we can find these three guys and save our season and ultimitely our football club.

I disagree on that first point totally. The very fact that DC has been missing on our worst back to back pwerformances in about 15 months tells its own story!!!# DC had talent, hunger and pace. Not a single one of ANY player on the field the last two games have shown ANY of those attributes. Play him up front with ONE big guy and get at least TWO fast wingers in the transfer window. I don't care if they are from Bellshill of Botswana just get them in!!

Oh aye, if we go down we will stay there. We have no right to be in the SPL anyway - look at Dundee, a bigger club than us but down there for ages. Very much could be a gates closed and key thorwn away situation - we will not survive a drop. Cheers for that McGhee

Away and don't talk pish!! Look around the SPL. MUCH better players have been brought to other clubs on LOWER wages than dross that we brought in. Aluko, Gomes, Bauben, Tahoil etc.. Signings were not good enough and he should now pau this price that the team and club are paying.
