I think IF McCall gets his right winger in he will not start ZFA. He is getting a game the now because he is literally the only pace in the entire squad and he plays literally only because of his pace. If we get pace on the right either faddy or vigurs will start left mid and offer more stability off -and on the ball. ZFA will become a decent option off the bench mind.

I was expecting McCall to be getting more of a slagging. These boys haven't done much wrong. For me, McCall is just sending 11 bodies out on the park and hoping that he can get away with it. Simple as that. Why he signed 2 Centre Mids to add to the two we have I don't know. Eithier he thought he could shoe-horn one of them into another position or he never done his research and thought Vigurs was a left winger. Both of which are criminal for a fitba manager! We need to go out and get an entire right hand side this week. Loans, promote youth, whatever. And we need to start playing Faddy in the middle. Get a right winger and stick Faddy up top slightly behind Anier. Then we would see a different Well side.

Having not really cared while watching that am now gutted at that penalty miss. I had a feeling he was going to miss it - such as our bottle this whole tie, but if it had went in at least we would have got a goal in Europe and a draw away form home on the record books, and coefficient. Ach well at least we didnt do a hibs. Gunnar looks better in goals. By a mile. We need a winger.

Challengers for what? Europe?....
-
Agreed Al but I think for many, certainly myself, it is the principle of the decision. It is no different to going 2-0 down to Celtic at half time in a leagu cup final and taking our best players off to rest them as there is 'no chance' anyway. Its a bad message to send out that we are not good enough for even early European rounds and really makes you wonder about the point of even resting players in Europe to help get 3 points in the league on Sunday to....ultimately end up in Europe....
-
Exactly this. We won't win the league, don't get any decent cash for 2nd now and dont try in Europe so fuck the league. McCall might as well rest Faddy etc.. for cup games and not bother in the league apart from to get fit. Fucking Joke. McCall's lack of bottle and ambition really gets on my tits.
-
If there's no point playing our best players in Europe because we have no chance then there's no point playing them in League games cos there's no chance of winning that either. Honestly with this attitude of not bother in Europe why bother in the league when the ultimate prize for doing well is ...ehm....Europe. Why not go one further and just keep Faddy and Las etc.. for cup games? We have an incredibly tiny chance on Thursday but there is still A chance and we might just keep it tight and fluke a goal from somewhere with 20 to go. If that happens I would rather have first teamers in the squad ready to have a go than a bunch of kids who are sitting shitting it.

Boys behind me were booing McCall after 60 minutes. Like actual Fred McCaully Style 'Fucking Boo!!!' Cos he wouldnt make subs. What was he to do, Bring on the unknown, unfit and untested Striker? When the did bring Anier on it was a 'Disgrace' that he only got 19 minutes. Seriously.Get a grip. This mob have more money than Celtic. 0-2 isnt actually too bad!! Certainly not a 'Disgrace' I will add tho that we have been shafted mire than any other club for grtting 2nd place. Less prize money then actually making a loss on a dire Euro draw. Stick your second place this season and give us 6 th and a League Cup win.

To be honest the only difference between them is when the players are standing still at kick off and goal kicks. Either way ZFA will cover left back when defending and get forward on attack. Faddy will float between midfield and attacj as well in both and Vigurs is the most forward of the the 3 Mids leaving Las and Lawson sitting - in both formations. In saying that I hope McCall lines up 4-2-3-1 as the players will feel that bit more confident - when lining up!

I don't! Just going with what folk have said on here and my HU N pals 'retweets' on Facebook.

I know what u mean. Both times I have been on Twitter I clocked him going on about the 'Prem'annd Man U and Rooney etc. etc.. It was as if playing for Motherwell was just a job in fact never mentioned us. Which is fair enough except when he moves to The Rangers and every two seconds he is banging on about them. It makes you realise that he was just too embarassed to be at Motherwell to talk about us. Dick.

Sold Murphy last in January as well mind... Still think a bid we can't refuse will come in for Hutchy. shame as the thought of Hutch and Big MIck at centre half gives me a chub.

Is it not about 90k to charter a plane and for hotels etc... That offsets most of the 'prizemoney'. Read a while back that UEFA could easily redistribute the money better as bigger teams in later rounds wont miss say from 500k a round to 400k however because teams from tiny countries end up in Europe every year it would give them an unfair advantage in their country, e.g. San Marino, Faroes or even Northern Irish or Welsh champions getting a guarenteed half million or so a year - in amateur leagues it is the equivelent of billions. Aye, UEFA concerned about fair play, who knew...
-
That is fucking awesome.

Why don't we organise a 'Glamour' friendly against Lesmahagow Juniors for the first League Saturday after Europe and use it to rest the first team... The SPFL could hardly forbid it could they...

That is fantastic. The steelworks has always looked like a ship to me so getting the close up to fill the while bottom of the shield is great work! I like the trees too. Also the ribbon 'fold' is a subtle but modern touch too. Not fussed on the ball, perhaps if it was claret? The touch of white around the shield is nice and perhaps enough white. Really hope the club take a look at this and consider it.

If Celtic are interested HE will be off to the tattiebowl. 100%. He gets to stay in Hamilton with his family, earn circa £15,000 a week for a couple of years - nearly a million quid onto his bank balance, play champions league and no doubt walk straight into the Scotland team like most Scottish OF players. No brainer. I would dk it myself! In a heartbeat! Our only hope if him not going to Celtic is if they a) Have other targets b) don't see him staying at us as any sort of threat Our only hope of him staying at FP is, nah there's no hope!

I have loved every minute of Faddy being back here but the one downer is that he will leave us all over again (albeit maybe come back in 2 or 3 years) Total fantasy but I wonder if McCall and the board get together with all the guys and suggest to them that if they stay and with perhaps one or two astute signings especially at the back then they could be part of something very special next season, a Euro run, a cup win and perhaps even a title challenge who knows. That's once in a lifetime stuff that none of them will get at Burnley or Hull.
-
It would certainly be an 'honour' for the club so I guess the players get medals.

Same here, I'll take a couple of DVDs off you mate. Send me details as I can't PM you. I could paypal it or write you a cheque? Cheers Craig

Aye but it is a culture thing Weeyin. We both know that the MLB has lopsided leagues with teams playing some teams 3 times and some 12 or more!! How's it fair that Oakland for example played the previous and soon to be champions Giants 3 times but their division rivals didn't play them at all? But, correct me if I'm wrong here, the fans just get on with it. If the whole thing is about OF, and we know it is we might as well split into 2 'conferences' of 16, an OF in each give us all 2x15 that we want and let them play each other 4/5/6/12 times in 'inter league' play and add the points to the table. Ok the numbers there are slight facitious buy to make it actually work you could have 4 of them OF games and give us all a 'derby' or similar in 'interleague' play. Daft I know but just as daft as a split or 8-8-8!!
-
Fair enough, better. Won't fly though due to the unfairness of home/away - for the OF games that is.
-
Still playing half the teams 4 times a season Top '8' teams Still having to face off against Celtic 4 times = less competition at the top Top '8' teams still facing each other 4 times = less competition at the top And while regionalised groups in the league cup isnt ideal it IS an extra 6 games and if the first few 4 rounds are Sat/Wed at the start if the seaoson crowds will be alright as folks are keen/excited/good weather etc... That would give most clubs 36 guaraneed games plus 4 OF games. Why not? Surely a decent bet?

Are all our games, perhaps save the last one on TV? Flattering but utter baws at the same time!
