Both Emily and Lucy were part of the Lanarkshire United squad who won the Scottish Cup in 2007,prior to changing our name to Motherwell Fc Girls.Emily has played with the club since u13s,as players leave we look to bring more players in and we have some very talented players in our u13s,15s, 17s and Ladies teams including some Internationalists.Always looking for new players, any girls interested contact the club for details.

Emily is on the right of the picture, current u17s Captain and fellow Internationalist Lucy Clark is the other player in the picture. Both players from Motherwell supporting families.

A big "Well Done" to Motherwell Fc Girls u17s Internationalist Emily Thomson who will travel to London on Monday to sign for Arsenal Ladies.Although we will miss Emily on and off the park we wish her all the best in her future career and look forward to seeing her in the dark blue of Scotland for many years to come.Emily has been a credit to Motherwell Fc Girls and a shining example to the young players at the club who have ambitions to follow in her footsteps.Best of luck Emily from myself and all at Motherwell Fc Girls.

Rest in Peace Brian, great player,I loved watching that team playing, football was much more exciting then.Thoughts are with his family at this sad time.
-
Rest in peace Mowglie, another guy who gave 100% for the cause every time he pulled on a Motherwell jersey.Thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

No joy this time for Mfc Girls. The u13s were beaten 3-2 by a very good Kilwinning team,Kilwinning scoring the winner in the last minute of normal time,a devastating blow to the young Motherwell team, and it got worse when Hibs defeated the 15s 6-0.The 15s have a small squad which was depleted further by injuries and Hibs were far too strong for them on the day.Well done to both teams in reaching the final and hopefully we can go one step further next year. The girls will now have a break before they resume their league games in August.
-
Info is correct Derek, the Finals will be held in Toryglen Indoor Arena on new 4g surface. This is a seated arena holding approx 700.Would be good to see some "Well fans cheering the girls on. First opportunity to show off your new Motherwell top and cheer on the girls at the same time.13s,unbeaten so far this season play Kilwinning who are also unbeaten.15s will take on Hibs in what should be a cracker as both teams are also unbeaten in League and Cup competition.
