I hope not but that's the impression I got read the forums. He'd always be in my team and I hope he does sign on again.

I agree. Goss had vision and could pick a pass that few if any in the side would see never mind actually make. Losing him is another blow. We'll do well to pick up anyone in the Goss mould.

Mario Dorner & Franz Resch.

You missed out Ellis Plummer!

I think Fletcher was excellent any time I saw him last season but I feel he isn't the right sort of fit for us. He's a very good player but he's hardly prolific in front of goal. We need a goalscorer to play off the types of players we already have at the club. Not another Curtis Main/Lee Erwin type. A first choice striker that scores 8 goals a season isn't what we need because we don't really have too many goals coming from elsewhere. Of course it's hard to find goal scorers but I'd rather take a chance on someone stepping up a level than Fletcher.

A great of Scottish football, from his work with the various youth sides to managing or assisting probably Scotland's best ever international side and then an excellent spell with ourselves. Also a likeable and charismatic guy. I can say with some pride that I was one of the few that was still in the stadium to see Jutkiewicz's goal!

Gascoigne is the best player I've ever seen in Scotland but he was absolutely done as a footballer before the end of his Rangers career.
-
He's fine as a link up player.....provided we replace Van Veen with a decent striker. As for Cornelius. 'One of our Own' turns us down to go to Harrogate Town. Bizarre. He might do better down there since it's a less technical league....

We have a pretty good record in these league cup group stages (Airdrie and Stranraer aside) but you could make a long list of Premiership teams losing to lower league teams at the start of the season and usually a couple go out the competition at this stage. The timing of the fixtures are a big equaliser.

None of those are worse than Craig Gordon's two howlers against England. And Gordon wasn't good enough for Celtic who replaced him with dross like Barkas, Bain and Joe Hart! Craig Gordon is one of those guys who gets talked up all the time and has journos eating out his hand. Liam Kelly might not be Scotland's greatest ever goalkeeper but he's better than modern day McGregor, Marshall and Gordon and should be getting caps based on being one of the top three goalkeepers we have available at the moment.

Bilel Mohsni made Eddie Forrest seem like Fabio Cannavaro.

Having to put up with O'Donnell for another season is disappointing. We went up about three gears when Johnston came on Sunday and that's pretty much been the pattern depending on whether SoD is in the team or not. Some of his performances this season were absolutely deplorable. and he'd be the first out the door for me. Goss on the other hand is an important player for us. Hope we can keep him. Casey is a good age and with Butcher and McGinn getting another year older I think we really need a younger player in there. I don't think Cornelius is much of a footballer but he has his attributes and I think you can 'blend' him into an effective midfield as long as you have ball players in there (like Goss). Would absolutely love it Johnston signed up. Don't stop believing, I say!

We were never bottom of the league this season and were only in the bottom two 2 weeks out of 38. Sligo and Raith Rovers were disappointing but losing to Celtic was to be expected. I'd even go as far as to say the standard of football we played this season, even for the most part under Hammell, was better than for at least 3 seasons.

Max Johnston contributed more in 25 minutes than O'Donnell has in 2 seasons. We absolutely would not have got anything out this match if the changed hadn't been made. Which begs the question why has he not been starting? If he had a knock or something fine but as a player and as a team it's different levels with Johnston. It wasn't Ben Heneghan at Firhill levels but Mugabi had an absolute mare. Defensively we definitely missed Casey/Butcher. Just to highlight what some others have said Blair Spittal is a very under rated player. Last time I looked he was the only non OF player in the Top 10 assists this season and 6 goals from midfield isn't too shabby either. Three good goals too. Excellent end to the season. Fingers crossed we can keep important players like Goss, Johnston, McGinn and Casey.

He's atrocious, kinda like having Aaron Chapman in goals for an entire season but he's not likely to play today. They dropped him for the last match after that howler against Livingston.
-
Is Campbell out the picture? Didn't start or get on as one of the 5 subs. I've noticed he's not really been playing recently.
-
With a unfit Fletcher and relegation almost certain I don't see it. Expect a Turnbull-Ciftci-in-the-Sun type display from a few years back! I'll even be bold enough to say if we score the first goal, I can see a pumping.

Think you are not seeing the minus sign! Ross County win they stay up.

Something I noticed but forgot to mention. Liam Kelly was wearing an all black kit, the same as the referee. I've noticed goalkeeper kits clashing with other kits a few times over the last few season, does nobody bother about it anymore?

Only at rapping.

You don't need to go that far back to get a bowl of grease soup.
-
Off the ball he's a complete liability. Players go past him like he wasn't there. He's scored some decent goals for us but today was only his 2nd assist of the season and overall he wouldn't be in my first eleven.

I've not had a football pie for ages. I'm at the age where I need to start eating better, but I've found that in Scottish football it's one of those deals where the lower the level of football the better the food. One suspects Hamilton Accies cuisine might take another leap forward in the coming weeks!

It was his 25th goal of the season and it also bettered his previous season best, 24, for JVC in the Dutch 4th tier. I think it was just down to that unless anyone knows anything else.

Game never quite recovered from the long VAR check and Kevin Clancy's whistle happy performance. Some really nice stuff mixed with some really poor stuff but I think we edged the match even though Kilmarnock dominated spells in the second half. For me though they didn't really look like scoring while we looked dangerous going forward and Van Veen might easily have had a hat-trick today.
